Harry and Meghan still not replied to Coronation Invitation

Harry and Meghan still haven't replied to the invitation to the coronation even though the RSPV deadline has passed. If it's true I think it's a bit rude. They know the preparation that goes into these events. It must be a headache for the planners not to know if they are coming or not.

Apparently Arche and Lilibet aren't invited to the actual ceremony as they are deemed to be too young. My bet is they will all come to the UK for the coronation but who knows. Not heard if Andrew is coming or not. And Fergie. Will she be there. Maybe behind a pillar.

I think some of your regulars did see it and managed to post as well. It's a shame you didn't need this one thread because as you new where she was you could have shared with some of your MN friends to put them at ease. maybe have another scroll through. Storm is a regular plus others but I'm sure you know that.

I had a quick squizz and found my comments👍😊. Funnily enough after reading some of the comments on the RF board today I thought I'd repost a comment that I made on said thread as it very much remains the case:

It was started initially as 'Where's Meghan' but as is usual with these threads it jumped around. I made 6 (I think) posts out of 31 pages and none of them were to do with the subject title. So 🤷‍♀️

I would send the following to all those that haven't RSVPd.

"... As you will be aware, the deadline for RSVPs was April 3rd/4th. As the palace need time to plan seating arrangements and security, all guests who have not replied to their invitation by 14th April (10 days after the stated deadline) will be considered as having declined their invitation. Please ensure therefore that if you wish to attend the event, you inform the palace no later than midnight on 14th April..."

I think H&M create too much of a security risk now for the British public especially with Harry's inflammatory comments about his military experiences.

I don't really agree with that - not when it's such a major event in the first place. It's such a target rich event that security measures will be at an extremely high level anyhow

That is quite an accusation. Am I Meghan or have multiple names to defend her.?
(Just FYI I have been here 16 years or more, I don't NC and have been this name for ten years)

Harry would announce it. He announced he'd received an invitation so I have no doubt he'd release a monologue on why he won't be going. He'll just be hedging his bets, see what is more lucrative. Going and doing reality show no. 2 or not going and doing a load of Poor Me media interviews.

Why do you find it so hard to accept that many people - and the vast majority of those under 45- admire Harry and Meghan ?

I loathe the Windsors but I wish Harry well .
I'm so glad he had the bravery to blow the cover off the Windsors' facade . They are holed below the water line now and only a succession of old white men to come .
Very little interest in the chubbly . After lack of interest comes anger once the waste of money sinks in

I look at the people in the public eye who hate Harry and it tells me all I need to know...

If that were the case, it would be leaked via their mouthpiece Omid Scobie to shut down the negative headlines that they're dicking the palace around. Plus the palace would put it out there so there would be 24 hours or so of frenzied commentary and then everyone would move on. It makes no sense for either side to cover it up.

Really? I'd imagine Charles would be exhaling a huge sigh of relief rather than begging him to come. What if they turn up and the crowds boo them? That would be horrible for all concerned and overshadow the Coronation itself.

What difference would it make? Harry and Meghan were never going to be part of the procession. And there will be boos of Charles and Camilla from the protestors. They will survive.

Charles wants Harry to come because he is his son. It was leaked that Charles wanted Harry there, but William did not. You do know most parents love their children?

Hmm. Charles' aides claiming to the papers that he wants both sons there is different to him actually wanting it! I don't believe he's begging him to be there, not after Spare and his attacks on Camilla. Frankly, it would be far easier if they stayed away. It would stop the inevitable scrutiny of everyone's movements on the day and sidestep the very likely chance that some of the crowd might boo H & M like they did at the One Young World summit in Manchester.
