She has shown her face just once in months. Yet another thread to attack her. What is up with you? When is enough enough?

Luckily the link is behind a paywall so no one can read it and get worked up.

I think you need this...

That is brilliant. Pitch perfect satire. Thx

ModeratelyBetter · 31/03/2023 07:23

Totally agree people need to stop now she isn't even showing her face in public. I'm no "Meghan Stan" either. But she is actually just keeping herself to herself ATM. No need to keep talking about her. If you dislike her, surely forgetting all about her is the best thing

mixedrecycling · 31/03/2023 08:40

The article has just been published, so presumably that's why the OP posted. The article wasn't behind a paywall for me.

PacificallyRequested · 31/03/2023 08:45

In other news, water is wet and the pope is Catholic.

Cirque1 · 31/03/2023 08:46

I can't help but feel sorry for Meghan.

This feels like school bullying, just on a global level.

That’s because it absolutely is. Nobody deserves this, but over and over again the world selects a woman to torment and these days it’s so much easier. The fact she’s spoken of suicidal thoughts and mental health issues because of it, highlights how society still doesn’t really care about those things at all.

Exactly. And that is my point

There are a massive amount of articles every single day. Doesn't mean to say that threads should be started on all of them. It's mostly analysis of her character in detrimental ways to sell papers or mags.

As I say, she has not been seen apart from once for months. Posters keep saying she should shut up, stop looking for publicity, stop speaking.
Yet when she is quiet and not seen, the threads knocking her don't stop.
That is what I mean.

Totally this.

She is a scapegoat for angry and unhappy people. She is a punch bag for those that have to take their nasty thoughts out on someone. The fact there is a human being, a woman, a mother behind all of this, seems to be an irrelevance.

Motnight · 31/03/2023 08:55

It is interesting that it is often women who treated like this by the media.

Reader1303 · 31/03/2023 08:57

LOL at Vanity Fair commenting on reality.

Howsimplywonderful · 31/03/2023 09:01

This is a woman who told Oprah that she would be correct in assuming racism was the reason her children weren’t given titles and accepted an award on the back of that statement

so cry me a river that people are starting to doubt her honesty now.

The helpline wasn’t funny before, and it’s just stupid now, seeing as we know who the obsessed posters (clue it’

KillingLoneliness · 31/03/2023 09:06

Why is it women who are mainly targeted and ripped to pieces by the media and the public?

Leave her alone!

Howsimplywonderful · 31/03/2023 09:10

@KillingLoneliness

the article is talking how Meghan’s fantasy narrative of her life doesn’t square with reality

Perhaps she just needs to stick to the truth ?

I remember similar articles on Trump

StormzyinaTCup · 31/03/2023 09:10

I must say I'm not surprised but slightly disappointed. I was hoping someone was going to question them(her) and hold them (her) to account for some of the mud they have flung around (be it true or not) and thought it would make an interesting segment on the Harry & Meghan Worldwide Privacy Tour - Nevermind I'm sure I'll get over it😉

Whaeanui · 31/03/2023 09:10

Why is it women who are mainly targeted and ripped to pieces by the media and the public?

Misogyny. Women can have internalised misogyny, as evidenced on this board. We don’t see the same level of hatred and threads on Andrew, who nobody could argue is a much bigger issue and has a much more damaging affect on the British monarchy brand.

Whaeanui · 31/03/2023 09:13

Harry & Meghan Worldwide Privacy Tour

See comments like this show how the media set a narrative and the unthinking mob carries it on. Not one word said about needing absolute privacy from them, but the comments don’t stop claiming it. Having control over your life and not wanting drones over your child’s head in your own garden, does not mean you don’t ever want to appear in public or speak again.

Roussette · 31/03/2023 09:13

What's happened lately? Anything?

Nah... you just can't over the OW interview

Roussette · 31/03/2023 09:14

The helpline wasn’t funny before

It's so funny and so real, it's untrue.

GrinAndVomit · 31/03/2023 09:15

I really liked and respected Meghan and her decision to raise her children out of the spotlight.
Then she embarked on The Worldwide Privacy Tour with Harry and that opinion changed.
Now she, at least seems to be, being a bit more low profile and not selling stories to the press to raise that profile so I’m happy to go to a nice, neutral, non opinion of her.

Long may this phase continue.

GrinAndVomit · 31/03/2023 09:16

(I still dislike Harry though)

^^ This

And I've been making this point for a long time. Then posters come on here and link threads on Andrew showing how full they are. Look! Here's a full Andrew thread! Yeah... Okaaaay Hmm

I would imagine threads and posts on Andrew are about 10% of what has been posted about Meghan

goldenotter · 31/03/2023 09:18

I think most people agree on the topic of Andrew so there’s not much discourse on it.

Whaeanui · 31/03/2023 09:19

This is the kind of misogyny I’m talking about. When she behaves the way I want her to, I’ll not hate on her. It’s about control. She married into a family the public are used to being able to control with bad press if they don’t perform.
