Is Andrew currently paid for by taxpayers?

Novella4 · 29/08/2023 09:17

But@PrincessOfTigger

There is a (laughable ) ‘rota’ - this acts as a useful shield for the real work of KP secretly leaking stories against BP and vice versa .
And Camilla of course- who could forget the vile clarkson article and her laughing with Clarkson and Morgan

They are busier than ever now that Harry has gone .

As for William / Dan Whooton - I have no words
Everything Harry said in Spare re the ‘royals’ and the media has been proven true

If you want to know the truth about the ‘royals’ ( and not rota puff pieces ) read the Guardian . They have been doing proper investigative journalism on the Windsors for years now

Is Andrew currently paid for by taxpayers?

Sigh .

Charles - who is paid by the taxpayer - is shovelling out money his way .
Elizabeth- who was paid by the taxpayer - shovelled millions his way in her lifetime

It really isn’t difficult

Hippyhippybake · 29/08/2023 09:20

I thought Andrew’s allowance came from the Duchy of Lancaster.

Novella4 · 29/08/2023 09:22

Oh and @Hippyhippybake did the news a few days ago pass you by ?

Andrew trying to pull strings to get his TAXPAYER funded millions in security back

If you really are trying to defend ( the indefensible) ‘royals’ don’t try to do it via Andrew …

Novella4 · 29/08/2023 09:23

Sorry -scratch that - DO continue defending Andrew @Hippyhippybake

I’ll put my Republican feet up for a bit
Cheers !

Hippyhippybake · 29/08/2023 09:25

I’m not defending him, I can’t stand him. But there’s an awful lot of misinformation on this thread.

Novella4 · 29/08/2023 09:32

@Hippyhippybake

Don’t make me have to repeat it all!!

Fact : even thicko Andrew knew Epstein’s had been convicted - still visited / supported him etc . All well known

Fact : ‘royals’ let it be known that Charles and Willy were raging and wanted Andrew out ( all lies fed to the gullible)

Fact: for God knows what reason Willy ensured he was photographed with Andrew up front and centre = support ‘

We can speculate on the why - Andrew demanded as he will reveal the truth about Charles and Willy
‘royals’ are stupid enough to think the public will have forgotten
Who knows

PS the Dutchys are like the crown estate- they do not own it so you can relax your grip on that fragment

Hippyhippybake · 29/08/2023 09:37

Fact: Andrew has never been charged or convicted of a criminal offence (yes he’s a loathsome individual who is guilty of terrible things)

Fact: He is not currently funded by the tax payer and he no longer receives paid for security protection

Fact: The Church service was a private family occasion taking place during a private family holiday

Novella4 · 29/08/2023 09:38

@Angrycat2768
Yes you are right

Id forgotten that I read royalists on here who blamed Andrew’s victims and their parents .
It was their own fault that Andrew raped them apparently

Novella4 · 29/08/2023 09:38

@Hippyhippybake
Thanks
Keep it up I’m off out

Andrew was never even questioned because he refused to leave Windsor Castle to even give a statement to the FBI. He was close enough friends with Epstein and Maxwell to invite them to sit on Thrones at Buckingham Palace and spend the weekend at Balmoral. He stayed with him for a week knowing he was a convicted sex offender. He got his lawyers to victim blame in his civil case rather than just pay up until he was forced, and then ended up bring forced to apologise for his victim blaming and forced to acknowledge the victims of Epstein legally because he really couldn't give two shits about why those young girls were being passed around, then and now snd couldnt think to acknowlede it through his iwn volition.
He is paid for Charles, who is paid for by us.
He could go to a private family church service privately. Being photographed publicly sitting next to the Heir to the Throne gives the message loud and clear that he is and always has been, in the loving bosom of his family, protected from all those meanies who don't understand how important he is.

Victims?
I didn't know that there's more than V G ?

Hippyhippybake · 29/08/2023 10:08

Do you really think that you can avoid being questioned about a criminal offence simply by hiding in a castle ?

He was alleged to have groped a woman (not VG) at Epstein's house:

Your Fact 1. True.

Your Fact 2. Where do you think his money originally comes from? Duchies? The RF don't own them, they are just lent them for income. The less they take from them, the more comes back to the taxpayer. He is trying very very hard to get the taxpayer to fund his £3million security bill again. That's us. You and me.

Your Fact 3. True. He didn't however have to pally up with the future King in a car. He has every right to be with his family however.

CathyorClaire · 29/08/2023 10:26

I thought Andrew’s allowance came from the Duchy of Lancaster.

The Duchy of Lancaster provides the monarch with our money as private income.

Totally agree. Let us not forget this.

A convicted sex trafficker, procurer of young vulnerable girls, and long time friend of decades of Andrew, Ghislaine Maxwell. Now languishing in a prison for 20 years.

Sex offender and paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, and good friend of Prince Andrew who carried on the friendship even after convicted.

Both sat in a lodge in Balmoral. The same lodge the Queen sits in.

Hippyhippybake · 29/08/2023 10:30

The Duchy of Lancaster is owned by the sovereign and dates back to medieval times, it is similar to the lands / estates etc owned by certain other prominent Dukedoms. Yes there is some controversy as to whether the huge income from it and other Royal Duchies should be shared with the government but the estates themselves are owned by the Sovereign.

I think it’s appalling that the hideous Andrew is seeking to have his taxpayer funded security reinstated but I haven’t seen any indication that it’s likely to happen.

CathyorClaire · 29/08/2023 10:26

Yes, it does.

The Sovereign Grant, paid to the Monarch, covers the expenses for Duties. All other allowances come from the Duchy of Lancaster, except for those of the Prince of Wales (and descendants) when it comes from the Duchy of Cornwall.

And of course they may have other income streams (such as revenues from investments). But things like salaries (military, air ambulance) and royalties from books (eg Old Man of Lochganar) are donated. The business end of opening the Palaces (tickets, merchandise) generally go to the upkeep of the property (sometimes eg special events they are donated too)

Hippyhippybake · 29/08/2023 10:42

I’ve read the article but unless I’m
missing something I can’t see any successful challenge to the fact that the Duchies belong to the Royal Family.

Roussette · 29/08/2023 10:53

If we became a Republic, I am not sure they would own the Duchies. They insist they are private estates. Course they do.

"The royal family’s claim to the income from the duchies stems from archaic charters dating back to when the country was divided into medieval fiefdoms.
Ever since the advent of parliamentary democracy, however, generations of MPs have challenged the arrangement and called for duchy profits to be paid to the Treasury instead. Parliamentary debate has often coincided with the accession of a new monarch, amid renewed scrutiny over their public and private sources of wealth."

The RF hide their wealth quite successfully. They insist the duchy income is private.
Yep. They would.

Hippyhippybake · 29/08/2023 10:59

Do you think the other fabulously wealthy Dukedoms such as Westminster should have their estates and assets sequestered for public ownership?

“This billboard is on the West Side Highway right across from the Intrepid Museum. I was driving down there a while ago and saw it. New York doesn't love the pedophile Andrew. He will always be a pedophile to us”
