Sussex's snubbed on both sides of the Atlantic

Harry and Meghan will be invited to the coronation - by necessity - but this toxic pair will be kept at a careful arm's length by all and sundry, excluded from the balcony or carriage procession, and probably positioned somewhere suitably inconspicuous. Most of the family will be wary of them, most will wherever possible avoid them and the crowds will likely boo them. There will be no lucrative photo ops with William or Kate. The Wales children will be in the limelight, but Harry and Meghan's children will be excluded, due to age.

Meanwhile, over in the States, where they no doubt expected to be feted when they planned their dramatic departure from the UK, opinion polls reveal them to be less popular now than even Prince Andrew. South Park mocked them to general acclaim and The Cut published a contemptuous piece about the possible relaunch of the Tig last week.

They've been snubbed and excluded from every big social event, from the Met Gala to Obama's birthday party and Elton John's Oscar's bash. The only parties they have attended have been those hosted by social pariahs like Ellen de Generes.

They are coming across as increasingly desperate and embarrassing. It's hard to to see any possible comeback from here.

@samcro that's awful

I assume that if they attend the coronation, it would be the same.

I'm curious, why do you think they decided to announce their children were prince/princess -especially after everything that has happened? Why not wait until they are of age, like Sophie and Edward have done with their kids?

It's something that makes no sense to me whatsoever.

Their children were Prince/Princess from the time the Queen died and Charles became monarch. They can choose to not use it when they become of age.

But that doesn't really answer the question?

Yes but how does that inform you of their plans during the coronation?

Reading it again:

OP is pointing out that they simply won't be able to use the children to be in the limelight at the coronation. So it's not really about having 'plans' to do with the children, is it? They are too young to be involved.

I'm even more confused, who told OP H&M had plans for photo ops with William and Kate? Who told OP of H&Ms plans for their children to be in the limelight?

What was the question?

Only the OP can answer those questions and she is not coming back onto the thread so I am not sure what is the point?

Of course OP is long gone, set up a hate fest with all sorts of assumptions then went off 😔

That's my point, they already are Prince/Princess - with or without the announcement, they just used the appropriate titles to confirm Lili's christening.

I hop that if H&M do come they keep their kids away from the public. The way people talk about royal children on here is awful. On this thread we have someone saying Lois was gurning and on another thread people discussing the wales children’s looks and a Nast post about a face one of them pulls.
awful

you clearly don't understand the colloquialism 'gurning' Its not an insult for goodness sake, its an odd endearing sport in the UK, but I wouldn't expect you to know that.

That was a nice, civilized discussion. Perhaps some people are so fired up by negativity and paranoia that they have to tear down everything even where unjustified.

Whatever

The children were given titles when Charles became King. They christened Lillibet with her title which is appropriate.

They definitely didn’t christen her that. Lillibet isn’t her name.

This is new, what is her name then?

VixenTodd · 21/03/2023 19:43

Willy-bet after Willy.

They've taken to mocking her name now, the people calling out toxicity are suddenly nowhere to be found.

@Blip does this count as nasty?

I was replying to the goady comment that it is not her name.

You've been trying to fight the OP all day when shes not posted once. Don't transfer it to me. Don't wanna know your agenda
Don't communicate with me again. Ta.

Is there a cut off date for invites ? When we will find out if the Sussex’s are attending or not.

In the next thread they will say they've not noticed anyone mocking M&Hs children.
