Back on topic, QE2 signed her self Lilibet Cambridge even after becoming Queen. It's Harry's way of honouring his much loved nan. He loved her very much (whatever love is as Charles so publicly expressed on his engagement to Diana) as well as 'Pa' if you bother to read Spare. It's a human tragedy writ large on the world stage, though an "above" First World problem, obviously.
The problem of succession that the Queen left is the inconvenient truth that she is a totally impossible act to follow, whose reign spanned two millennia and defined an era and rode a post-war age of seemingly ever expanding horizons for our country and its place in the world.
I think "constitutional monarchists" know this in their hearts, I'm sure and hope that the Charles/William reboot can capture the old magic, but sadly it can't and H&M provide an easy target to vent their anger and frustration. Well, that’s what I think anyway.
