Will Harry and Meghan come to Coronation?

I do not think they will. They will stay away but all anyone will talk about is why they did not come and should they have come.

Their whole Netflix persona is based on them being members of the Royal Family. If they don't attend, they become irrelevant.

I wonder if they will be able to sneak in a back entrance so they don't have to face the public boos and the RF / BBC will hide them behind a large candle again.

Theunamedcat · 07/03/2023 21:54

Possibly? personally I hope they are happy and secure enough in their life's choices to come and see/support the family on the day

Oblahdeeoblahdoe · 07/03/2023 21:58

I hope they do. After all it's not every day your dad gets crowned king!

Octopusmittens · 07/03/2023 22:37

Hope not.

YetMoreNewBeginnings · 07/03/2023 22:39

They will.

Its too big a thing to miss.

Lefteyetwitch · 07/03/2023 22:39

If they do then they have deserved all the grief they have ever had and all the grief they will receive going forward.

South Park were right

They want privacy then for tge love of God fuck off

FuriousFurious · 07/03/2023 22:40

Don't they want an apology first?
It seems like it would be quite awkward for everyone, including them, if they did come.

LubaLuca · 07/03/2023 22:44

I do hope so, I really miss those little scallywags' faces.

TheUsualChaos · 07/03/2023 22:47

They'll attend and then no doubt go back home to complain on Netflix about how badly treated they were during the whole thing.

bloodyplanes · 07/03/2023 23:46

And miss all that attention? Not a chance in hell they will miss it! We will most definitely see her smug permanent grin and his constant scowl!

If you go to a family function when there's tension with members of the family, it's very awkward. I can't imagine Harry and Meghan want to go. If they go they won't enjoy it - just endure it. Do they go for appearances sake or do they stay at home where they'd prefer to be - for their kiddie's birthday party.

Yes they are scallywags😛

Mumdiva99 · 08/03/2023 07:34

Of course they will. As much as I would prefer them to live their quiet private life....if Charles wants them there then they should be. Personally if a member of my family publicly accused me of being racist simply for their own gain then I would find it almost impossible to forgive. But parents forgive and minimise their children's actions all the time. If he chooses to forgive then not my business their family dynamics.

MissTrip82 · 08/03/2023 07:56

I think they will. I’m a republican and if I got invited I’d go. It’s an historical event. And they’ll be sat up the front. Well nearish anyway.

We already know they’re quite thick-skinned because they came back after Oprah and surely that was an awkward atmosphere.

vjg13 · 08/03/2023 07:58

I think they will, they need new royal family interactions to write about and talk about.

If I were you I'd be more worried about Charles getting booed, he was quite loudly the other day in Colchester.

What I would love to know is this...
If you are 'anti' H&M, do you want them to attend? One poster on this thread wants them to fuck off, so that is clear.
What about the rest of you? Do you want them to come so you can talk about them?
Or do you really want them not to attend?

This is my prediction too.

DoubleShotEspresso · 08/03/2023 08:58

I'd really hope that they do

Roussette · 08/03/2023 08:58

ZeldaWillTellYourFortune · 08/03/2023 08:55

This is my prediction too.

They didn't do this with the funeral, so you saying this is just putting an unpleasant spin on it. They behaved impeccably at the Jubilee and the funeral, but that fact doesn't fit your narrative of course.

purpledalmation · 08/03/2023 09:06

There's already a long running thread.

Wheresthebeach · 08/03/2023 09:20

They will come, or at least Harry will. Their entire brand is Royal Family, so they can't miss the Coronation. Difficult as Harry has publicly said he needs an apology, but he'll slink in amid much drama. I hope I'm wrong and they stay away.

Roussette · 08/03/2023 09:24

Whether Harry slinks in, on his own, and we barely see them. Or, neither of them come. They will be criticised. That is the only known on this.
