I really dislike her relentless grinning, it makes her look inane and vacuous. I loved the pics from the Top Gun Maverick premier where she was so obviously starstruck by Tom Cruise....she actually looked human and was far more likeable as a result.

@Lobelia123 Or maybe it’s just the pictures you see of Kate grinning? It’s not like she’s like a clown because that’s what I’d associate with “relentlessly grinning” 🤡. I’m pretty sure there are pictures when Kate isn’t grinning. I suspect that it’s confirmation bias. It’s like the time when some posters were adamant that Meghan was always touching her pregnancy bump, and it turned out that it was just the photos that they were looking at 🤣

I think with the queen gone, a lot of the stuffiness has gone too and Kate and William can be more themselves and less sticklers for 'protocol'.

We're starting to see more of them now as they try to compete with Meghan and Harry. But they are lacking, William's childishness and selfishness is deeply unattractive and Kate with well, no personality whatsoever actually. They really need to step it up now.

Maybe just maybe there isn’t a competition but I guess it gets the clicks. If they “step up” then they are competing and if they don’t then they’re just boring and dull. Not everything has to be a competition

She is taking her lead from the late queen. A blank canvas that we don't know personally, she is there to highlight whichever cause she is promoting! Its not supposed to be about her, she does what shes supposed to brilliantly well.

Since she became POW, she seems to have a new confidence and people up and down the country seem to just adore her. If she is having an off day, she never lets it show. She is always smiling and joking and her spontaneous comment to her old history teacher really show her to be a nice, modest person and the best thing that happened to the RF.

Kate has 11 GCSEs, an A at A level in both Maths and Art and a B in English.

Perhaps she isn’t always the most eloquent or confident in speaking, however, she has the brains. And it would mightily unfair to compare her speaking to a professional public speaker or trained actress for example.

kate is not brainless. she imo is clever. she plays a role and keeps her real self private. I really doubt that the Kate we see is the real one. I mean that nicely.

There are many women working hard, being agreeable and not putting a foot wrong in many different roles without it being particularly remarkable.

She's absolutely fine. She has chosen a pretty hard path to follow, in the glare of the media. But she really isn't any kind of amazing Mother Theresa figure.

Just a decent, attractive youngish mum with a shit load of money and very little control over her own life.

Look how we were all constantly told how amazing Queen Elizabeth was. The press were only allowed to say nice things about her. In Kate Adie’s autobiography she mentions being royal correspondant on a royal tour and the Queen made a snide remark about the miners’ strike and the journalists were told they weren’t allowed to report it.
