My opinion? Samantha is an ass who purposely humiliated Meghan, every chance she got. I hope they throw out the case and reprimand Samantha+ her attorney for being grifters and wasting the court's time.

Personally I think Thomas, Sammantha Harry and Meghan would have been far better off keeping quiet.

Thomas might have seen his grandkids and Meghan and Harry would still have a relationship with his kids

i know he’s managed to turn it into a best selling book, but was it really worth it. I wouldn’t think so but recognise that many others might prefer the money and fame

But Meghan says she didn't have much of a relationship with Samantha anyway and goverNments doesn't even have a relationship with her OWN kids that's not hard to believe plus Samantha has behaved appallingly ,why should Meghan have anything to do with her?

But Meghan went on Oprah and made claims like’ Sammantha only changed her name to Markle when I started going out with Harry’ which was untrue. Why say these things, why make things worse. When she lies about these things, how can we simply take her word for anything. It shows Megan is happy to lie about others to raise herself up and knock them down

Why bring up that Sammantha dropped out of school and her kids had different fathers, she could have said some nice bland things
like she was great going to get her degree despite her MS.

It is completely, but there is a pair of them in it. Both are coming across badly.

Meghan has far more to lose so should kept the high moral ground.

i feel sorry because of the car crash that killed his mum and sister and then his brother the golden child (who seems have been lovely) dying which broke his dad. Hunter suffered a severe brain injury in the crash and had a serious drug issue for years

He is so fucked up, he doesn’t behave well and his dad seems so forgiving which must make it worse.

It's sad that anyone loses a mother. But Hunter Biden was 2 so I doubt he even remembers her, and his stepmother has been in his life since he was 5. He says that he grew up in a loving and supportive home and his family have always been there for him.

We don't know the severity of the brain injury but it didn't impair his intellectual capacity. He became VP of a bank (although that was at the time his father, the VP of the USA was introducing banking changes that were beneficial to the bank.) Of course, he's going to blame his alcohol and drug problems on that. Because he takes responsibility for nothing.

Leaving aside his affair with his dead brothers widow, he denied ever sleeping with the mother of his child, then tried to get out of support payments by saying he was unemployed when he was receiving $50,000pm from his job on the board of a Ukrainian gas company. (A whole other scandal involving his dad.) And he's now trying to stop his child from being given his surname. What a upstanding guy he is.

I agree he'd be better staying out of the public eye but that's what happens when you trade off your father's name.

Re name change, who knows. In this article Samantha says she did it in 1997.

If you look at a picture of samantha getting her certificate with Meghan crouching next to her it says ‘samantha markle’

So Meghan attended a ceremony where names are called out in alphabetical order and Markle was called out, she was photographed with her sister with said certificate yet said to Oprah her sister changed her name to Markle after she started dating Prince Harry ?

There's a photo on one of the other threads of Samantha, Meghan and someone else on Samantha's graduation. Meghan looks early 20s, Sam looks late 30s (and is in a wheelchair). Sam is holding up her certificate and it's Samantha Markle - it would be around 2003 so she'd changed her name at least 10 years before M met Harry.

Admittedly it hardly affects the fate of nations, but I just don't know why Meghan keeps doing this to herself - I mean, what the hell's the point?

Very nasty to point out Samantha has 3 children by 3 different men. I have no idea why anyone would say that, but Samantha has also said nasty things. All very toxic.

I am 99% against the case, but the 1% is if this does proceed to court or a deposition, then it will be the one and only time Meghan Markle will be held accountable. Harry makes a big thing about this in his ITV interview (demanding accountability) but he won't be held to account.

Considering we have had almost 2 years of (seemingly) non stop attacks on the RF with endless assertions many of which have proved dishonest, yet not one single direct challenge to the truth of the claims. The internet and media can question their 'truth' but no one can put pertinent questions or challenges, to them.

Yes, the graduaton certificate is in her birth name but does that mean she'd actually changed her name legally? Samantha is saying (and proving) that she was calling herself Markle again long before Meghan met Harry - the certificate says 2006.
But maybe Meghan is talking legally in that she knows the paperwork didn't go through til much later? I don't know. So maybe Meghan is technically right, although I do think, over this issue, she comes across as quite petty.
And, really, is Markle now known as such a great name that you'd want to get in a dog-fight over it? 🙄

Because she has narc traits, so lies, comes to believe that those lies are true and then is affronted and angry when those lies are found out. She’s not half as sophisticated and worldly as she thinks she is and I don’t believe she’s that intelligent either. I think all of the Oprah/Tyler/Venus/Beyonce stuff is all part of her narc fantasies too - associating with high profile leaders/people - also trying to build great wealth and profile on shaky foundations. She keeps getting found out telling silly fibs that are easily provable and knowing this I cannot fathom how people can still support her and Harry’s silly, self absorbed nonsense as they do.

Meghan said in her interview that she was close to Sarah Ferguson who taught her how to curtsey. Sarah has now confirmed un her interview that she has never even spent time with Meghan and barely knows her 😮

When I was working at college, we asked the students what name they'd like on their certificate. I can't remember anyone choosing a totally random name but some did have deviations as to what's in their passport.

But, thinking about it now, I get what you're saying. You could pay someone to attend college and get you a qualification in your name. Lol

Samantha did get married in 1998 after her name change petition. I wonder if she then changed her name to Rasmussen or if she kept Markle.
