Archbishop of Canterbury get Harry to attend Coronation

The Mail on Sunday are claiming that Charles has asked the Archbishop to talk to Harry to get him to attend the Coronation. But William is against this as he fears the Sussex's will detract from the Coronation.

"Harry could be guaranteed a high-profile seating position in the Abbey or an informal assurance that he will be able to keep his titles as an inducement to attend. However, William fears that unless Harry’s visit is tightly scripted, he could steal the limelight by, for example, going on a walkabout in a deprived London borough with Meghan."

I know I shouldn’t say anything as I’ll probably be shot down in flames and don’t need any more confrontation after a couple of comments from people yesterday…but I find the first bit of that sentence a little disturbing. I understand supporting her because you like her, but not the bit about because you are black. I mean, would you support anyone, no matter what, just because they are black, and if not, why mention it for someone you like?

Have to agree with you - if I were to say "I support Kate because I am a white woman and I like her" there would be all hell to pay!

Everyone I know who is black supports Meghan because they see the racism towards her, and they see many white people denying or dismissing it.

I think H&M make King Charles look extremely weak and I think Charles should abdicate. I have some sympathy for Charles as a man but he courts favour from H&M which is very destructive to the monarchy in my opinion.

I think William would be a far better king.

It must be very hard for Charles as a father who loves both his sons that they now don’t speak and Harry has been so disloyal. I’m sure he wants both sons at the coronation but agree he needs to take a firm line with Harry now. He seems incapable of doing so. My own feeling is that he has a lot of guilt about the Diana
years and her subsequent death. Harry knows this and plays on it.

I'm not sure where you get the dog whistle from my post but there you go. As for racism there is plenty . Proven time and time again MN delete some but many are left. - if you think by mentioning they coded means that I don't have any evidence then you stay with that I'm not going to be copying and pasting posts for you.

I agree.
’Racist’ is bandied about and used as a shut down to debate. All that’s achieved is it becomes like a swear word that you hear repeatedly, it becomes just ‘another word’ and loses any impact. That’s hardly progress for such an important issue but it seems the immediate short term ‘win’ is more important🤷‍♀️.

Well that's the same isn't it if you continue to assert that there is no racism, you don't see it, where is the proof - it's not racism , rinse and repeat - does that not shut down the debate and score a short term "win" if that's what you consider a win.

I’m wondering why M&H supporters put so much stock in what Justine says, e.g. when she called M&H non-supporters deranged. This is the same woman that runs a website that many of the supporters claim is full of racist comments which are not removed.

Yes, I’m here, but I’m not accusing other people of being here all the time and never on other threads. Don’t know who you are referring to or which other thread. I don’t remember piling on anyone. Can you be more specific?
