The royal family

Is there anyone out there who is still on Harry’s side?

And if so, how do you reconcile all the inconsistencies in his stories?

Most specifically him saying they never said the RF was racist, despite accepting an award for fighting racism in the RF?

I get there are people who are anti-royalist, but that doesn’t need to immediately translate to supporting H&M.

If anything, their actions are making the monarchy stronger because he can’t prove anything and people have no idea what ‘leaks’ he’s actually referring to.

I really wish some of you who spew so much negativity and hate could devote some of that energy to improving your lives. It's rather true that there are more evil people in the world than there are good and Harry is in the minority (good ones). I couldn't care much for the royal family but I could not hate someone so much it causes me sleepless nights. If someone who claims to hate them so much then go ahead and buys their books, it puzzles me. The way in which people show their support is to buy the book. Who buys a book of someone they claim to hate? Unfortunately your opinions mean nothing to H&M. They just keep winning and there's nothing you can do about it that's why it hurts so many people so much. The general consensus was the book was going to be a Flo! What a surprise lol. Keep hating you haters. I will continue to listen to the love messages and speeches by H&M. Let love lead. Lol

OP if you see this as about sides then you are looking at this wrong. It is not a sports match where we route for our team.
It is the story of an exceptionally dysfunctional family being laid bare in public.

I think I’m on his side because those of you with your knives out just seem so pathetic and horrible. Like really, why are you so involved? It’s a fresh new year, how about a nice hobby that isn’t practicing hateful thoughts and behaviour?

This. I come onto these threads just to see how bonkers these people are.

helloelsie · 15/01/2023 20:52

Do you mean on his side following watching the interviews, documentary and reading the book or in general?

Ohgodthepain · 15/01/2023 20:52

Ok 😵‍💫

helloelsie · 15/01/2023 20:53

It would be good to have a discussion on this AFTER ppl gave consumed all available info and evidence if you know what I mean?

helloelsie · 15/01/2023 20:54

Gave = have

Coxspurplepippin · 15/01/2023 20:54

mammymums, what's your view of the bile and hate being dished out by the 'sussexsquad'?

TellerTuesday · 15/01/2023 20:54

Always have been Team Harry, always will be!

You are quite right - ‘sides’ was the wrong phrase.

There are clearly lots of issues here but I just can’t get my head round how Harry thinks what he’s doing is better than what he’s accusing others of.

And the inconsistencies in his stories only add to the feeling that this is not even close to the ‘actual truth’

I think both of them are lacking in self awareness and have made some monumentally stupid moves both in how they’ve acted and things they’ve said. They’ve made it hard for people to be on their side to be honest. After watching them on Netflix and hearing about the awful time they’ve had from the media I definitely felt some sympathy towards them. But that’s disappeared again now that details of Harry’s book has come out. I have yet to read it personally though so I will reserve judgement for now.

I support Harry Fully and there are many like myself out there. The stats for his book sale is evident of his support. Unfortunately the kind, compassionate people like myself don't see the need to express ourselves in social media unlike the hateful people. How do people live with themselves?

So modest

Kinneddar · 15/01/2023 20:57

Not at all, though I think Harry will see it thar way. I think the sales are high because people want to read what he's saying buy that by no means they support him

I don't actually know anyone who supports him. I think he's quite spectacularly shot himself in the foot with the book contents

JaneJeffer · 15/01/2023 20:57

The whole kerfuffle has made me aware of how much the palace covered up his awful behaviour.

Unconditionally supporting anything or anyone without questioning the actual evidence is really rather foolish

Could those who still support please try and help the rest of understand the position on racism in the RF?

Why did H&M accept an award for fighting racism in the RF if Harry is now saying they never said they’re racist?

I'm not unconditionally supporting them. I have carefully weighed up both sides and I have come to the educated decision that Harry and Meghan were left with no choice but to get out to protect themselves and their young family. I feel that those who are anti Meghan and Harry who have not listened to any of their interviews or read his book are not informed enough to make a decision as you have only heard one side of the story. If that's the opinion you form after fairly weighing it up then fine. But otherwise you're just being played by the media completely.

This certainly doesn’t give me sleepless nights! 😂

I would love to know how you can unconditionally support someone who has outright contradicted themselves over whether the RF is racist or not.

I'm not a royalist in the slightest and would happily see the back of them but think H&M have been treated terrib!y ,this board is an echo chamber though tonnes of threads started finding offence in what ever they do that doesn't mean they don't have support

..yet you support the RF ? equally no real evidence.

I just look at the way the press treated Meghan and Kate, be it dresses, food, holding their bumps... there is a article showing 16 diferent ways the press reported them both... its quite shocking.
Someone told the press to trash her and if it wasn't the RF, who was it? and it was going on 4 years ago... the only other explanation is the public are racists and press reflect that?

But as in all arguments, there are two sides, so whilst i don't back him 100% i do feel his story, regardless of the wisdom of telling it, is probably accurate.... ish!

TBH though, more concerned with waits in AE etc as we all should be.

Ohgodthepain · 15/01/2023 21:01

How can you have weighed up both sides when we only have Harry's side .

Coxspurplepippin · 15/01/2023 21:01

'I feel that those who are anti Meghan and Harry who have not listened to any of their interviews or read his book are not informed enough to make a decision as you have only heard one side of the story'

Whereas, of course, those who have read the book, watched Oprah/NF, various interviews etc have only heard one side of the inconsistent story.

This literally makes no sense to me

Alexandra2001, why would the RF want to trash her. She was marrying into the family. There is no reason why.

Lesina · 15/01/2023 21:03

I support him because the British establishment is institutionally racist and the royal family is corrupt to its core. Andrew is at best am incompetent judge of character and at worst a peadophile. Have we forgotten that Mountbatten was implicated in the securing of young boys for his ‘pleasure’ and phliip referred to British students studying overseas as having’slitty eyes’

i agree. hateful people tend to be more vocal.
i can't stand the royal family. harry has made mistakes in his life, but he's a breath of fresh air.
