Kate you are playing a blinder, keep schtum & keep having the stiff upper lip. The queen would be so proud of you & William right now.
Your silence is speaking volumes. If someone I barely knew attempted to hug me, I would recoil, it's not appropriate as is overfamiliarity.
You have a great circle of friends from childhood & school you can trust who have your back & a wonderful family who raised you beautifully.
Millions of British people are so proud of how you are winning & owing this. Stay strong Kate, you've got this.

I don't think it's purely about burning all boats. I think he and Meghan know that not confirming the affair gives them a certain leverage.

You are so cynical

Lampzade · 12/01/2023 01:41

WeepingSomnambulist · 11/01/2023 14:33

No. If anyone had an affair, other than the known affair his dad had, he would not include it in the book.

Including confirmation of an affair would be the thing that ends his relationship with his family. There would be no coming back. Ever.

Everything that has happened seems bad and seems like there is no way back but they really could all get past this and have a relationship in a few years. If Harry revealed details of an affair, then that option would be gone. He isnt stupid enough to go to the nuclear option.

Yes, I agree
I also don’t think it would necessarily serve any real purpose to expose this affair

Kate said nothing untoward in those text messages. And how odd of H&M to keep those messages for 4 years & publish them. Unclassy, chav behaviour.
As I said above... You got this Kate, keep the head up on the school run, you are fabulous, you know it & the British public know it. Silence is golden.

Good point, kateforqueen
Were they.gathering evidence.against Kate as early as that? I really.believe they were. They have gathered and stored 8every word and deed they didn't like. No wonder the RF don't talk to them now.Hopefully they never will.

Remember Meghan hinted about what she could speak about because she hadn't signed an agreement not to. That was a veiled threat. I'm quite sure they have things in reserve. They really are a ghastly pair.

I cannot get out of my head Harry's face when he told Tom Bradby that he hadn't called his family racist..you could see that he thought he was being terribly clever - such a sly slippery lie and he was so pleased with himself.

We have all gone mad there is no escape. We be burning down the house....

I spoke with Harry's alien spirit guide.... and then took the shuttle to Venus. First class though ...

It's not a lie though, as he didn't. He spoke about unconscious bias.
As in it's the way we're brought up, you know no better kind of thing.
Once you grow, and learn, you can go one of two ways
You can double down, carry on with remarks and attitudes, or do some self reflecting and think hang on, this isn't right.
So no, he didn't say they are racist. Actions say whether you are not.

And it was the BRF that effectively sacked Lady Hussey in a peremptory fashion not HM who have said they liked her. Looks like KP is panicking trying to control/get ahead of the narrative but instead highlighting how out of touch they are. All this stuff about them being one trick ponies the US will tire of them, they will go the way of Edward 8 and WS are turning out not to be true. Harry has carved out his freedom now and has only just got started and enough folks here and globally are behind them. They look the part of global superstars and Charles and William are living to regret not taking his life and wants seriously. With the Queen gone it's as if the magic dust has gone with her and we're left with an outdated, unaccountable, dysfunctional aristocratic family trying and failing to be relevant in the modern age. The BRF need to have high ratings in let's say the under 40s if we are to tolerate this anachronistic constitutional undemocratic construct if they are to continue. I'm betting this demographic it's less than half now with some thinking good on Harry for getting out.

It's like reading a whole rewriting of the past two years. Of course, they were saying it was racism. If they hadn't thought it was, these warriors of truth and justice would have had Oprah issue a correction alongside the denial that it hadn't been the Queen or Prince Philip who'd made the comment.

it’s really easy for people to do this when it’s something they’ve done a lot of. They think they’re so clever and it’s very telling about their character. And of course it helps that they only surround themselves with people who’ll let them get away with it.

However I truly hope you enjoy your slavish existence defending people who almost certainly don't hold your social subgroup in high or even decent regard either — and won't be afraid to show it publicly

Im not defending them. Im saying it’s human nature to have a laugh or pull faces at something that was quite funny on the day the longer the sermon went on without it being as bad (or as misleading) as people are making it out to be here.

I don't think I want to engage any more with someone as mind-numbingly slavish as you after this reply, but why did you consider his preaching "funny"? Even as a non black person, I actually found what he was saying quite moving.

Flouncing around in silly shiny tights and stockings while brandishing a giant stick is "funny" to non-Brits. Yet international guests present at British royal ceremonies manage not to laugh or pull faces.

its all I hoped it would be 😂

You have far too much time on your hands. Kate isn't ever going to be your best friend.

Yes. Meghan accused the royal family of needing to reference the skin colour before they would make a plump for a title for a little baby. The Royal Family have been smeared with insinuation of one of the most serious forms of hate crime known to our society. The Royal Family now has to distance themselves from any staff who have appeared racist, because they have all been doused in the vile smear, with no recourse or other means to give their side of the story or defend themselves.

And Meghan is wrong. You shouldn't demand to know where somebody comes from again and again, as though you aren't satisfied with their answer. The delegate was present on account of their community work with very vulnerable women. How they name themselves, or dress, or where they are from and how they identify where they belong is totally irrelevant. You should never lift a stranger's hair. Who would ever think you should.

It's also wrong of Meghan to comment on the decision of the Palace. She has had this honoured position at the heart of the Royal Family. She needs to behave properly, in respect of it. It's nothing to do with her when a member of staff is asked resign. We don't expect other MPs to comment on Rishi Sunak's decisions about his staff either. I wouldn't expect Eugenie to comment if Harry and Meghan let go of their nanny. I'm sure Harry would be displeased if Eugenie did.

TheKeatingFive · 13/01/2023 14:46

We did not need Meghan to point out that the RF are racist. Prince Philip has been demonstrating that for years.

I don’t blame them. They’d have to deal with a whole book of stuff.

One side wants to sell the story, the other doesn’t.

We did not need Meghan to point out that the RF are racist. Prince Philip has been demonstrating that for years.

People are not a composite whole, they are a group of individuals. Members don't share the same brain.

Philip didn't hide his comments. He was either channelling what was acceptable, in his youth, or he didn't care. The younger Royals don't publicly say crass, and tactless things, but it doesn't matter for their reputation and peace of mind, since Meghan has chosen to trash it, casting a general aspersion, which taints all the Royals younger than Charles.

As she has really got it in for Catherine and William, a proportion of people will assume Meghan meant that they made the racist comments, since it wasn't the Queen or Prince Phillip - so it is narrowed down. Also, Meghan has said what good company Prince Philip was when she chatted with him for ages - so for her, , some forms of being racist are more acceptable than others. Of course, she'll say: "Oh. I didn't know he'd said all those rude things before, when I was chatting to him". "Oh. I didn't know what Royal people were, until I'd been dating Haz for ten weeks." Selective memory, type of thing.

I had 4 year old bridesmaids and one of them cried when we did a dress fitting.

Because she was 4!

It was touch and go on the day whether I'd have a bridesmaid dressed as Minnie Mouse or wearing the actual dress.

FFS - too long and baggy? For a 4-yr-old the summit of dress fitting is does it go over their head.

🤣🤣🤣 LOL. Totally agree. She's little and cute and looked gorgeous. I don't know what all the fuss is about.

Anon778833 · 14/01/2023 01:28

In Harry's book he says that he never knew it was racist to call someone a p* because his family said it all the time and he was upset to find how it's a racist term and he used it.
