Kate you are playing a blinder, keep schtum & keep having the stiff upper lip. The queen would be so proud of you & William right now.
Your silence is speaking volumes. If someone I barely knew attempted to hug me, I would recoil, it's not appropriate as is overfamiliarity.
You have a great circle of friends from childhood & school you can trust who have your back & a wonderful family who raised you beautifully.
Millions of British people are so proud of how you are winning & owing this. Stay strong Kate, you've got this.

harry has done therapy and it’s okay that he wants his global reputation restored and to say his side of the story. Especially given his family and tabloids have been controlling the narrative and will
never apologise or admit to anything…

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to want your reputation restored infront of the entire world & your side of the story. His family have been able to protect themselves from the tabloids but Meghan and him have been fair game. Why is that ?
Why was the Charles and bribery story buried and the William cheating story buried ?

He’s addressing everything written about him, much of it that palace press offices fed or didn’t refute as they’d done for other royals or didn’t use their connections to kill or planted.

you can see easily reading the Daily Mail - I’ve read it for years purely for curiosity about media strategy…

you can see it’s enormously pandering to the royals. It’s a big newspaper. Richard Eaddie is basically William’s fan boy - I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a crush, he’s basically a walking talking PR machine for the royals & sycophantic. Most of the DM commentators are.

camilla was lunching with Piers and Jeremy Clarkson at a private event days before he let rip on Meghan. She was lunching with Meghan’s most vocal & aggressive critics.

If you look at the wedding photo, charlotte’s dress on the day still looks funny at the bodice and the hem.

I don’t see how it would be difficult to remake a bridesmaid dress or take it in. I also don’t understand why the bridesmaids dresses were that much of an issue.

in the absolute worst case, they could have worn off the rack bridesmaid dresses and nobody would have known or cared.

People glance over at how cute they are and that’s it.

For a start you’d have to unpick the fabric by hand in order not to damage it. It takes a lot of time.

Then you have to remeasure and recut the fabric to get something the correct size and hopefully the desired shape. But that can only happen if there’s enough of the original dress left to begin with once errors have been cut away.

And although the dress looks simple, the skirt is actually quite a difficult one to Pattern cute and ensure that the hemline is even all the way round becuase quite often you’ll get one of the flounces that is either shorter than the others or perhaps even worse, longer.

A simple look to a dress can be anything but simple to make. It really is all in the pattern cutting and measurements.

I suppose also, why weren’t there royal seamstresses and people on hand to assist from day one ? Why didn’t anyone from Givenchy fly here for fittings of the girls or have a UK contact do them ? It’s an hour from Paris.

Why wasn’t any of the palace staff liaising and sorting out anything on Meghan’s behalf or Kate’s.

to me I wonder if her staff were ordered to sabotage her wedding planning & incite stress and upset from Meghan.

I wouldn’t be surprised if palace staff were sabotaging and orchestrating the stress & issues.

MrsPeachBottom · 11/01/2023 09:05

I can say from
an overseas commonwealth country perspective that this whole thing is embarrassing for the UK.

The best barristers in Australia used to have the letters Qc for queens council
next to their name and now it’s Kc for kings council. It seems laughable and a mockery of our justice system and greatest minds that we have the royals front and center as symbols. They have nothing to do with honesty, integrity or authenticity yet have this reverence in our society. Not to mention their association with wiping out Indigenous people here & unapologetically wearing jewels stolen from colonies.

the fact the entire UK are supporting the royal family at any cost kind of paints them as racist for the most part too. It’s like the royals and the public don’t want to admit there’s any racism in their country even though someone has been run out of the family and by the press.

I think all royals laughing at the black sermon padtor when he was talking about slavery says everything you need to know about the royals and racism & how they respond to a black religious man talking in their white English church. This idea that nobody is allowed to do anything not English. No hugging, no loud talking, no emotion…act like an English stereotype or leave the country.

Port1aCastis · 11/01/2023 09:14

As the wedding was 5 years ago there's no longer any point in obsessing about it, ceremony was all over and done with in 2018.

All these I have a cousin, my friends sister, my moms neighbour type sources, really likely to be factual 😒

I doubt it.

I also doubt that HMQ & PC (at the time) would have insisted that George & Charlotte be attendants.

Of course they had already been attendants Pippa's wedding so a precendent was set!

You wouldn’t really expect any outside help being needed when working with a Couture house. And we don’t know that they didn’t fly to the UK to fit Meghan’s dress. And neither do we know if she flew to them. I expect there were fittings done though.

And perhaps the bridesmaids dresses were afterthoughts or changes were made to them which meant the results weren’t great. And don’t forget they were working off measurements provided by some one, probably because getting the children in one place for a day was going to be too difficult given some of them lived abroad.

Was the Wedding sabotaged? I doubt it very much.

100% this.

Bring on a referendum for a republic and wipe this embarrassment out of our legal system.

God yes, that was awful. Just so rude and disrespectful.

Im pretty sure the 3 or 4 members of the RF who did pull faces during the sermon did it at a completely different part as to what you’re claiming. Not that it excuses them but he did go on a bit and made what could have been really nice a bit of a farce after a few imputes of it.

Cariadz · 11/01/2023 09:44

Minutes - not imputes.

And he did actually overrun his allocated time to speak quite considerable. He should have stuck to it and left people with a different memory of it.

TheKeatingFive · 11/01/2023 09:44

My memory is that they were clearly laughing at him. It really shocked me actually, just made it obvious they couldn't cope out of their comfort zone and didn't care how it looked.

It's not like people being long winded would have been new to them.

That was disgusting and disrespectful behaviour.

Surely their only claimed skill is knowing how to behave in public and controlling their reactions. Aren't they supposed to be trained in that from birth while the rest of us are learning how to earn a living?

Then we see grown adults pulling faces and snickering during a globally televised royal function. Because .... a black man was speaking too much or for too long?

And we're meant to believe they aren't racist behind closed doors when that is how they behave on the world stage

This wedding is getting unpicked more times than Charlotte’s dress.

Cariadz · 11/01/2023 09:53

@StarsSand

It was rude. And I suspect they’ve had made faces at anyone giving a sermon that went on as long as the Bishops did, making as little sense as it did towards the end because he was very excited and got caught up in the moment.

Clairedelaplume · 11/01/2023 10:00

I call BS. Surely nobody exists like this? Please tell me it’s satire.

TheKeatingFive · 11/01/2023 10:03

Ive never seen them do that before and they've sat through plenty of long speeches in their time. Deny it all you want, but the world saw it.

warmzebra · 11/01/2023 10:03

Oh come on now, I really struggle to imagine them making such faces if say the white Archbishop of Canterbury had overrun his time

You don't see non white people laughing at the self important, pompous tone of white preachers in general ‐ so why laugh at how black preachers preach differently unless you think your way of being is innately superior to theirs?

warmzebra · 11/01/2023 10:05

I'm neither black nor white myself btw if it's relevant. I can clearly see that white people are falling over themselves trying to defend disgusting public behaviour you'd expect from 6 year olds, not people whose — as previous poster mentioned — only claim to a legitimate existence living off public funds is meant to be based on knowing how to behave in public.

Lampzade · 11/01/2023 10:07

They definitely wouldn’t be making faces if it was a white Archbishop.
It was disgraceful and they showed a lack of class
Very embarrassing
