Kate you are playing a blinder, keep schtum & keep having the stiff upper lip. The queen would be so proud of you & William right now.
Your silence is speaking volumes. If someone I barely knew attempted to hug me, I would recoil, it's not appropriate as is overfamiliarity.
You have a great circle of friends from childhood & school you can trust who have your back & a wonderful family who raised you beautifully.
Millions of British people are so proud of how you are winning & owing this. Stay strong Kate, you've got this.

I have known about YankeeWally and another one called MurkyMeg for a long time. They are only there to spread outright lies, hate and make money. And it has been proven.
No one should believe one word they write so can readers on this thread please ignore the Tumblr link from the OP about the Givenchy bridesmaid dresses.

And anyone doubts that Meghan wasn't targeted? Give me a break.

monsteramunch · 11/01/2023 11:05

I'll be interested to see if @Kateforqueen's blanket statement 'there's no smoke without fire' applies to the rumours, that have been present for a number of years, that William has had an affair.

goodbyestranger · 11/01/2023 11:08

The 'rumours' are that he had one long meaningful affair and that he has had many others.

goodbyestranger · 11/01/2023 11:09

I imagine that OP will take the easy way out and ask for this thread to be removed because it's backfiring horribly. I do MN doesn't agree.

goodbyestranger · 11/01/2023 11:09

*do hope

Port1aCastis · 11/01/2023 11:10

Well done Rousette I'm just astounded at what people will believe thoug

Port1aCastis · 11/01/2023 11:12

The thread title is gushing about Kate so why has the thread descended into a let's all bitch about Meghan instead.

Oh dear, if you genuinely believe the Royals would likewise have pulled faces at one of their own (eg Justin Welby) overruning his timeslot, all I can say is that you're pitifully naive and slavish. They take pomp and ceremony very seriously, when it's in their own image and one of their lot.

If you've grown up around different cultures, I'd have expected you to be more alive to the nuances of behaviour around "ingroup" and "outgroup" members. It doesn't make us bad people, it's psychologically and sociologically verified that we all subconsciously do it, you and me included.

But most grown ups know you can think "wtf, how naff" about a different cultural norm, but you shouldn't display it on your face out of respect. Especially on national telly and if you're literally paid to exist to represent your country. However I truly hope you enjoy your slavish existence defending people who almost certainly don't hold your social subgroup in high or even decent regard either — and won't be afraid to show it publicly!

Im not defending them. Im saying it’s human nature to have a laugh or pull faces at something that was quite funny on the day the longer the sermon went on without it being as bad (or as misleading) as people are making it out to be here.

Because most of those who love Kate only seem to do so so they can saw how awful Meghan is in contrast. They appear to really hate her. It is unhinged.

Exactly.

The OP was intent in playing one woman off against the other so brought into it how dreadful Meghan was and linked to proven made up stories to prove (in her head, and her head only) she was awful. That way it would apparently show that Kate was a saint. Ho hum...

Maybe just maybe if it was some sort of local wedding of your cousin where old Uncle Fred was doing a reading and descended into one of his daft speeches.

But not when the eyes of the whole world are on you. Are they incapable of doing a poker face?

BradfordGirl · 11/01/2023 11:33

I think the laughing at the sermon was just dreadful. Extremely rude. But the Royal Family have form for this. Look at when Charles and Camilla openly laughed at the throat singer demonstration.

But the rumour is someone said that William has had an affair. There's no detail there to strike one as true or not.

How can one gave an opinion on five words .

TheKeatingFive · 11/01/2023 11:54

But the rumour is someone said that William has had an affair. There's no detail there to strike one as true or not.

Well that's total nonsense, there is plenty of detail. Who he had an affair with, her marital circumstances, the timing of it, Kate's reactions, commentary among the media.

goodbyestranger · 11/01/2023 11:56

But the rumour is someone said that William has had an affair. There's no detail there to strike one as true or not

No the 'rumour' is that literally all the Turnip Toffs know that William has had a long affair, and with who, and that all journalists are aware of the details too, from unimpeachable sources.

goodbyestranger · 11/01/2023 11:58

Cross post. This inability to accept that William cheats is astonishing. It's interesting too: why the fear of William having an affair?

BradfordGirl · 11/01/2023 12:00

I have no idea. Too many people have confirmed the affair. It is obviously true.

monsteramunch · 11/01/2023 12:01

@Diverseopinions

But the rumour is someone said that William has had an affair. There's no detail there to strike one as true or not.

Not the case, there have been specifics about this rumour for years including who the person is and when it started etc.

I don't have an opinion on whether it's true or not and frankly I'm not bothered, my reason for bringing it up was that OP made the blanket statement 'there's no smoke without fire' about one half of a couple she doesn't like and I wondered if she'd apply this blanket policy to a couple she does like.

I'm sure she'll come back to confirm either way soon.

HangoverSquare · 11/01/2023 12:01

William's alleged affair was reported in foreign magazines. Doesn't mean it's definitely true but definitely mean it's a definite rumour.

Can you talk through what is wrong with the bodice?

Yep. It’s part of the royal brand and mystique: meangirling and othering is as vital to the Firm’s playbook as their own pomp and ceremony.

PrincessKateofWales · 11/01/2023 12:18

Girls GIRLS. OMG. Honestly.

It's been two days and you're still arguing about a toddler bridesmaid's dress at a wedding 5 years ago none of yous went to. Stitching! Hems! Honestly I DNGAF and I'm her fucken mum! Get over it. I know I have.

I ask Char last night. Put down the phone and look at me Char. Now do you remember uncle Harold's wedding and she said WHO?

Exactly.

Enough with the bodice chat it's boring. I'm sure you've all get better things to do like earn some money, pay some tax and buy me a new Hobbs wool coat.

LOLOLOL JK.

hotpotlover · 11/01/2023 12:20

It was a beautiful wedding. I noticed the facepulling and eyerolling at the wedding.

I thought it was rude and was surprised they would do it knowing that the world was watching.

Watching, but wouldn’t dream of publicly calling them out on it. Imagine if Meghan was caught doing something as disrespectful 🫣
