Has anyone ever met Megan?

Out of curiosity as many people are airing views about her. But what is she actually like in the flesh?
I'm not a fan at all but she comes across as lovely when interviewed

This is a pathetic conversation. Of course Meghan did this or that or the other. She has to be painted as the evil woman, the nasty individual in every single thing on here.

"I do not understand the reluctance of many people to accept this of Meghan" Personally I do not understand the reluctance of many people to accept that Meghan might not be guilty of every single thing quoted about her by someone out to make money from a book.

No one knows apart from the ex and her.

What’s pathetic about it? I haven’t said she has to be painted as anything. You’ve gone to a total extreme there in your response. I just do not get it.
Actually now appears to be two separate books saying exactly the same thing. Am sure that’s just an evil conspiracy, that’s definitely the most reasonable conclusion to come to. As you say Meghan and her ex husband do know what happened, that’s why this point in particular would be very easy to disprove, presumably by producing sworn statements by both of them. Meghan has sued over much, much less. That’s why it’s an anamoly that she hasn’t here despite this story appearing in more than one book.

barnbaby · 11/01/2023 13:49

@UWhatNow Kate Middleton's longest serving PS had a large sum of hush money paid to her by the palace when she 'left very unexpectedly. She is definitely not easy to work for. I think all the royals have to have exacting standards, how could you not when you are in the public eye and people are examining every detail of what you do.

So you think Meghan should sue every single person who quoted every single lie posted about her, and her ex husband should do a sworn statement too.

How ridiculous. Given for instance the DM has upwards of 25 articles a day with poetic licence in a lot of them, she would not have time to have a life!

You believe this. I don't. All I know is given the endless lies published about her to make money and as clickbait, I err on the side of disbelieving.

@Eyerollcentral

you cant argue with stupid. I commend your efforts but you’re wasting your time. These posters jump on multiple Royal threads to hammer home a very limited viewpoint. Must be their hobby

Great. Just call people stupid. That rather negates anything you have to say.

Do you have a source for this please?

Seems strange it would be made public if she was given “hush money” !

Although I don’t know what it’s got to do with the thread topic. Ditto for all the discussion about Harry and Andrew’s security.

Orangefir · 11/01/2023 14:07

As I said…..hobby

barnbaby · 11/01/2023 14:09

@DandyCan It has been very successfully kept from the press but is known in royal employee circles. KM broke some serious employment legislation and the palace got scared and paid up when the employee threatened tribunal.

I haven’t said anything of the sort. On a personal level if someone had said this is how I dumped my husband I would want to make very clear it was incorrect. So she either doesn’t care people think this or that it’s true. A sworn statement yes would be extremely useful to defeat these claims if they are incorrect, why are you outraged at that?
Meghan is not averse at all to issuing proceedings and as a litigator myself that is not a criticism from me! Given that she does pursue other matters it is odd she hasn’t here.
There may well be endless articles in the DM but we’re not referring to those, we are referring to claims in two separate books which I think you know is entirely different.

BradfordGirl · 11/01/2023 14:19

There are so many claims made with zero evidence that she would be putting statements out every week.

Why on earth do you think I am 'outraged'? That's funny. We're just having a conversation and a difference of opinion, that's all !

If it was settled, then it shouldn’t be making it’s way on to a public forum.

And it’s very convenient that it can’t be talked about in provable detail yet apparently happened.

if you want to play Meghan versus Kate tit for tat (rather you than me), at least do so with public info.

This could be anything though - from failing to calculate maternity pay properly or failing to make reasonable adjustments for a disability. You know the kind of issue that can arise in every work place. ‘Hush money’ is a bit disingenuous - any settlement for any reason re an employment issue is usually subject to an NDA that not only bars you from discussing what happened but also that you have reached a settlement. Maybe Kate is a real mega bitch I don’t know or care, but nothing you have said is comparable to having an internal investigation in to bullying completed is it?

BradfordGirl · 11/01/2023 14:19

Very true. But there these authors have provided the sources for their claims haven’t they. So there isn’t zero evidence here

barnbaby · 11/01/2023 14:27

@DandyCan @Eyerollcentral just recounting what is known in royal employment circles! Do with it what you wish. Just know that there is so much that never gets heard about. Because guess what - all members of the Royal Family are as flawed as everyone else and so they all have things they have done that don't look good if they become public knowledge. And the top tier need their mistakes covered up much better than the tier below for obvious reasons. Kate Middleton is a perfectionist - which you would expect - and she does not have an untainted employment history by any means.

Was this about sacking the employee with cancer? That was in the papers.

I’ve never come across an employer with an unblemished employment history tbf. I doubt one exists.
’all members of the Royal Family are as flawed as everyone else and so they all have things they have done that don't look good’ This is pretty much a paraphrase of what I have posted above.
Think everyone is aware that PRs protect reputations don’t they? Also you do understand that the employee might not want their personal business broadcast everywhere, don’t you?
So are you going to be more specific about what the employment issue was or not?

barnbaby · 11/01/2023 14:31

@BradfordGirl nope a different one. There are a few.

DandyCan · 11/01/2023 14:31

And MANY potential emolument tribunal claims are settled even if the employer has a defendable case purely due to the cost of defending ET cases. The way the ET works is that it’s very rare for an employer who wins the case to get their costs back from the (ex) employee. The costs of engaging lawyers, and having employees spend time giving evidence rather than working, means it’s often more cost effective to settle. And that before you bring potential negative publicity into it.

barnbaby · 11/01/2023 14:32

@Eyerollcentral No I am not going to be more specific, take what you want from it.
