Never complain, never explain. But do we think there will be a time that someone will have to say something? The whole thing is just so, so sad 💔 I feel dreadfully sorry for KC

No. Because it is a family matter and no-one else's business, no matter how much Harry tries to make it so.
It is obvious that H is having a breakdown of some kind and will need a safe haven if MM leaves him. and they'll be there.

LotteryWinPlease · 07/01/2023 00:54

I agree, they'll take him back with relief, he will have to live behind the scenes pretty quietly and although it will take a long time I think things will be repaired to some extent. Whether it will be the same I doubt it and I think it will be a lot harder to build bridges with PW than it will be with KC.

No

Because this is Jeremy Kyle on steroids ( if she hasn't already bailed she will soon) he will need a safe habour..............oh wait family. Who knew.....

BMW6 · 07/01/2023 07:10

I hope not.* *By saying nothing they are winning the PR war and public sympathy.

It is also better for Harry IMO as engaging with his foolishness would only cause him to meltdown further, and Christ knows how that could end for him with his precarious MH.

KC must be desperately worried about him, along with angry and frustrated beyond belief

WandaWonder · 07/01/2023 07:18

I really hope they don't, let Harry and Meghan do all the attention seeking they want and just leave them to it

Oh look, there's the book picture again (ignoring the fact that many of those books are pretty picture books about romance and weddings and engagements and are very Mills and Boon and quite a few of them are about not just Harry but William too).

SingingWithSeals · 07/01/2023 07:38

Off topic but the typo in your name (intentional or otherwise) @Coucous makes me twitch every time I see it 😫

Interesting choice of photo. Another prolific poster on this board likes to use that one a lot.

There's nothing they can say. A bland all purpose statement won't heal any rifts. They can't start addressing individual complaints. And to be honest, it's going their way, they don't need to say anything. The public don't actually care about any of the charges Harry has made, except perhaps who the hell let Harry lose his cherry in a field behind a pub...

Nothing Harry has complained about really looks bad for the firm. Even a raging William has started to feel like inevitable given Harry's behaviour.

It's all really sad.

That your name is spelt Coucous and not Couscous.

I checked to see if that was the proper French spelling but couldn’t find that it was.

StarInTheHeavens · 07/01/2023 13:10

The RF will put out a brief statement next week after the book has been officially lauched & it's been checked over and they'll say something very brief about reaching out to H&M and that'll be it.

Imogensmumma · 07/01/2023 13:13

They really don’t need to at this point PH just keeps digging the whole deeper and deeper

Imogensmumma · 07/01/2023 13:14

Lol hole I mean sorry baby brain

PatchworkElmer · 07/01/2023 13:17

No I don’t think they will, but there’ll be a lot of “palace sources say” leaks that will essentially be them having their say anyway.

Imogensmumma · 07/01/2023 13:14

’Baby brain’ being another controversial part of the book 😁

StormObelisk · 07/01/2023 13:26

I really hope the RF maintain a dignified silence. What did Michelle Obama say - something like when they go low we go high. The RF do not need to stoop to their level.

Charles needs to strip the Sussexes of all titles and anything else related to the institution they so despise. Councillor of State, the lot.

Hopefully in time they can reconcile as individuals/family but 'Harold' should not be allowed to have a role in the institution he is trying to 💣.

BarrelOfOtters · 07/01/2023 13:27

They are responding, ‘sources’ are briefing against Harry and Meghan in all the papers.

Springiscoming82 · 07/01/2023 13:29

Why was the book launched earlier in Spain? Was that intentional?
I want to read but heard most of it already!

defi · 07/01/2023 13:30

I hope so this is like Jeremy Kyle for posh people. I'd also like to see wills and Harry battle it out royal rumble style.

TizerorFizz · 07/01/2023 13:41

A mistake apparently! Gave lots of work to translators and journos scrabbling for a story. Probably deliberate to get all the attention. As usual.

TizerorFizz · 07/01/2023 13:42

If Will had been a steer fighter he would have head-butted him. I feel sorry for the dog that lost his bowl.

TizerorFizz · 07/01/2023 13:43

Aaaah. Street fighter!

mpsw · 07/01/2023 14:11

No, they won't respond.

They'll need a brush-off line to take if anyone asks them (not that the press or the public calling questions necessarily deserve a response, but they might want to have a polite version of 'naff off' up their sleeves)

I doubt very much that it's any form of authorised palace source making ant form of response right now. Things like Harry's whereabouts when the drug testers came knocking would have been spotted by loads in the military, and the veteran community in general is pretty hacked off with the detail and terminology which Harry has just used (not with the general idea of him talking about his service and impact - no probs when he used a more appropriate way of saying the same thing just after he got back)

Anyone caught using class A drugs is sacked from the military. Strict policy.
