Will the RF ever respond?

Never complain, never explain. But do we think there will be a time that someone will have to say something? The whole thing is just so, so sad 💔 I feel dreadfully sorry for KC

It would be better for them to read the actual book on Tuesday before thinking about any type of comment. For all we know the Spanish translator meant to say “my brother loves me and I said let’s smash this fishbowl we live in.”

SoyMarina · 07/01/2023 14:15

So when all the dirty laundry has been aired Harry will be forgotten about and the RF will remain as always withholding their motto of ‘never complain, never explain’….

Eilan50 · 07/01/2023 14:16

I don't think they will respond. But if they do I think it would be to say any issues raised will be dealt with as private family matter.

Blossomtoes · 07/01/2023 14:17

The lack of response or reaction is absolutely perfect. Discretion is the better part of valour.

Off topic but the typo in your name (intentional or otherwise) @Coucous makes me twitch every time I see it 😫

Do you speak French?

Cuckoo

sashagabadon · 07/01/2023 14:21

Hopefully not!

theveg · 07/01/2023 14:23

Do we know when they are next due to be seen in public? What engagements that have coming up?

Agree they'll have to have a line ready.

theveg · 07/01/2023 14:26

I don't think they should have to do any more than that. No response is working well for them at the minute as the dignified silence is in such contrast with the tawdry, embarrassing over sharing from Harry.

Initially when the first story about the fight came out, I thought William would have to respond as it was such a serious accusation. But now in conjunction with all the other ridicule details, Harry looked increasingly unhinged so I don't think a response is necessary.

jtaeapa · 07/01/2023 14:26

I hope they don’t respond. It’s just a circus.

I feel sorry for Harry. He needs help. Proper help. Whatever therapist he has needs sacking and anyone who advised him to publish this crap also needs weeding out of his life.

This !

The rf also kept their wet mouths shut when Clarkson had his article after meeting Camilla. While a lot of people complained.

No HMQE around anymore to get away with insulting statements like 'recollections may vary'. Harry will fight back this time.

theveg · 07/01/2023 14:41

Why is "recollections may vary" insulting?

I thought it was genius! And very true. Recollections do vary.

Falalalalalalaetc · 07/01/2023 14:43

"recollections may vary" is genius in my opinion.

It just says they don't accept his version of events but won't be drawn further.

His version of events - if excerpts from the book are true - tend to make the RF look like the adults in the room and him petulant, entitled and selfish.

Harry will fight back this time.

Against and with what? More and more petulance as the RF calmly get on with their lives and ignore him? Hasn’t he made himself enough of a laughing stock?

Georgeskitchen · 07/01/2023 14:46

Silence is golden.
I think Harry has gone too far with this. Way too much private stuff . Hie frostbite cock. Burying the miscarriage, Harry losing his virginity (bleugh)
That's their business and OK I they wish to make it public but revealing Charles takes a Teddy everywhere with him was beyond the pale IMHO.
Charles, for all his mistakes, genuinely love his sons and I can only imagine he's devastated at having such private details exposed. I wonder if Harry realises the irony of he's doing. I honestly didn't think he was that dense 😡

HaggisBurger · 07/01/2023 14:46

The dignified silence makes H look quite deranged and as though he is howling into the wind. It’s often the best policy.

goodbyestranger · 07/01/2023 14:50

All the accusations of Harry having lost the plot are seriously gaslighty. Inevitable I suppose given those perpetrating the gaslightling but another nail in the monarchy's coffin as far as more reasonable people are concerned.

If you think you’re one of those “reasonable” people, there aren’t many of you.

bakalava · 07/01/2023 14:53

It's awkward because Charles has not even had his coronation yet. His team are still adapting to his change of role. He probably has to deal with new staff and new responsibilities. He will not respond unless it all causes a problem on a global scale.

It was dismissive of issues of MH and racism. Which should be taken very seriously indeed. Especially by a head of the commonwealth and an establishment that says they care about mental health.

Incredibly disrespectful and arrogant.

ittakes2 · 07/01/2023 14:56

I think Harry does not sound like someone that wants to have a rational conversation so it would not make any sense for the RF to engage in a global media conversation with him.

See, I totally disagree. 'Opinions may vary' 😁

💯%

Incredibly gaslighting.

Falalalalalalaetc · 07/01/2023 14:57

I think getting into a tit for tat would be bad for Harry's mental health. By leaving it at that they were modelling how to deal with the press in a way which is good for mental health

sashagabadon · 07/01/2023 15:00

Least said soonest mended is a v wise saying and one I agree with

goodbyestranger · 07/01/2023 15:00

@Blossomtoes Clearly not inside this particularly narrow echo chamber, but in real life there are plenty of us.
