Will the RF ever respond?

Never complain, never explain. But do we think there will be a time that someone will have to say something? The whole thing is just so, so sad 💔 I feel dreadfully sorry for KC

Hope not

TooBigForMyBoots · 07/01/2023 15:01

Yes, they will. At the minute you have Sources close to the Royal Family. At some point one of them will do a televised interview.

theveg · 07/01/2023 15:03

@notanotheroneagain it wasn't dismissive of those issues. The full statement acknowledged the issue of racism and also said the RF was sad to learn of how challenging M&H had found the period. I thought it was a compassionate and wise statement.

Will the RF ever respond?
Novella4 · 07/01/2023 15:04

This is not a family dispute

This 'family' costs the country 350 million a year .
The unnecessary Charles PR coronation will cost a further 100 million

These are serious allegations. Any other public body would be required to respond quickly and fully

I suspect they don't know what to do apart from their usual 'leaks ' to the media while pretending to be above it all

That is an aging formula which no longer works

notanotheroneagain · 07/01/2023 15:23

@theveg why would they include the snarky 'recollection' line in such a short statement. They knew exactly what they were doing, they been in this game long enough.

Anyway, where is the independent investigation they were so quick to make regarding bullying allegations.

And yes, the palace source will leak (or Clackson/Morgan/ whichever vile person on their WhatsApp hate group). They are not above anything .

Legrandetraitor · 07/01/2023 15:26

I thought that they would respond because of the assault allegations but now I am less sure because some of the other stuff coming out of the books sounds fully moronic so I think it’s wiser to stay silent

goodbyestranger · 07/01/2023 15:28

The rf needs to tread with care given how many more beans Harry could spill.

goodbyestranger · 07/01/2023 15:31

Harry having been in the military knows full well the value of keeping at least some of the tinder dry.

theveg · 07/01/2023 15:38

Because recollections did vary 🤣. Even m&H can't get their own recollections straight because the way they described the flower girl dress incident was different on Oprah to how it is in the book.

As for the bullying report, it seems likely this was buried to protect Meghan but don't be surprised if it comes out now and doesn't paint her in a favourable light. Even her own husband isn't portraying her favourably in what has come out of his own book so far......

theveg · 07/01/2023 15:39

@Legrandetraitor yes I agree

TodayInahurry · 07/01/2023 15:39

I don’t really read much about them, did not watch the Netflix pity poor us program or would ever read his book. However there has been much in the paper today.

He was extremely unwise to discuss the killings, could be lies, but seriously stupid..

The drug use also tells a story, I had a relation who was the same, no trauma, just got into it. Took ‘everything’ he could get his hands on and became paranoid and aggressive, like Harry. Now egged on by an extreme narcissist he seems completely unhinged. Sad really

BMW6 · 07/01/2023 15:44

Recollections even vary about how H & M met.........according to ...........H & M 🙄

Blossomtoes · 07/01/2023 15:47

This 'family' costs the country 350 million a year

We all know the cost. It’s 35 million.

And they explained they had a script.

lippylippy · 07/01/2023 15:53

I do not think they will comment. Harry has totally jumped the shark. It is pointless as, to quote Noel Gallagher, Harry is the angriest man you'll ever meet. He's like a man with a fork in a world of soup.

Viviennemary · 07/01/2023 15:54

I dont think there will be a response. But they might say it's a family matter and ask for privacy. I thught that was what Harry wanted. Made enough fuss when Thomas Markle spoke to the press.,

“He's like a man with a fork in a world of soup”

LOL

Prescottdanni123 · 07/01/2023 16:43

Where does it end though? If the RF says something, H&M will say something in response and then the RF will argue back.

Harry and Meghan are doing a sterling job of making themselves look like utter prats without the RF having to do anything. RF are better off doing nothing

loobylou10 · 07/01/2023 16:56

'No HMQE around anymore to get away with insulting statements like 'recollections may vary'. Harry will fight back this time.'

You see I think this was a brilliant reply - even recollections between H and M vary (how they met, who questioned Archie's skin colour) so who can believe a single word they say?

I don't think they would recognise the truth if it hit them in the face.

ZeroFuchsGiven · 07/01/2023 17:01

BillLius · 07/01/2023 14:14

It would be better for them to read the actual book on Tuesday before thinking about any type of comment. For all we know the Spanish translator meant to say “my brother loves me and I said let’s smash this fishbowl we live in.”

They will already have the book and a proper translator imo

Do you speak French?

Cuckoo

I don’t speak French, but as I said in a reply to the poster after my post above, I did look up the French spelling to see if it was that.

I see ‘Coucou’ means Cuckoo in French and is commonly used as an informal greeting meaning hi.

But again, the poster’s name here is Coucous, not Coucou. Coucous keeps coming up as an error in Google, and in the Collins French to English dictionary it just comes up as Coucou, no plural.

In a few places though it does come up as the plural for cuckoos.

You need to get a hobby more rewarding rather than trying, and failing, to trip up some random poster with your own ignorance

Not a hobby, I’m autistic. I like to make logical sense of things.

Shame you see it as ignorance when I straightaway said I looked the word up in French, but Coucous wasn’t coming up.

hopeishere · 07/01/2023 17:57

I doubt they will respond. What Harry wants - a sit down airing of grievances and apology won't happen. They're both backed into corners.

goodbyestranger · 07/01/2023 14:50

All the accusations of Harry having lost the plot are seriously gaslighty. Inevitable I suppose given those perpetrating the gaslightling but another nail in the monarchy's coffin as far as more reasonable people are concerned.

What incredible arrogance to assert that your view is the only correct and reasonable one.
