So it look like the following Kate & Meghan tidbits have been released from Harry’s book.

They include:

• Meghan forgot to bring lipgloss to an event and asked to borrow Kate’s. Kate reluctantly obliged but pulled a disgusted face when she saw Meghan dabbed the gloss with her finger
• Kate told Meghan there was a problem with the bridesmaids’ dresses - said they were too big and Charlotte cried when she tried hers on - and was advised by her own fashion house/tailor that the dresses needed completely remaking (this is a week before the wedding). Meghan tried to solve the problem with the palace tailor - but the stress of the bridesmaid issues caused her to break down into tears. Harry also confirms that Kate later apologised and bought her flowers.
• Harry & Meghan seemed jealous that William & Kate’s house was decorated with priceless art and heirlooms whilst they had to furnish their house with IKEA furniture and buy items on Meghan’s credit card
• Kate seems to have assumed that Meghan was hinting that she wanted to use Kate’s connections in the fashion industry. This was a miscommunication as Meghan actually already had her own connections.
• William & Kate felt disgruntled that Harry & Meghan hadn’t sent them an Easter gift.
• Kate had forgotten something and Meghan told her not to worry about it because of pregnancy hormones. Kate said the two of them weren’t close enough to talk about her hormones - Meghan said this is a comment she would make to her own friends - William points his finger at Meghan and tells her “these things aren’t done here” which Meghan didn’t take well

Most of it seems pretty petty (from both sides) to be honest. Although I think I would pull a face if someone fingered my lipgloss. But yeah, just two women, completely different backgrounds and personalities, having minor disputes and realising they’re not compatible with each other.

The only other thing I thought is perhaps the animosity is more between William & Meghan, and Harry and Kate are siding with their partners?

The Royals all seem tight, except with themselves.

Why didn't she correct it.

They corrected botox and hair extensions stories.

Surely they lived in the "shack"- which William and Kate had previously lived in and was then Harry's home- whilst the 10 room apartment in Kensington Palace was being completed. They also had a country place of their own too. They then decided they didn't want to live in Kensington Palace and so looked elsewhere.

I thought Harry and Meghan did not have any other house when they lived in Nottingham Cottage?

William and Kate had Nottingham Cottage and a number of other houses.

Obviously Nottingham Cottage is not a shack, but it is not a palace either.

So you believe everything in the tabloids and in social media unless and until the “victim” comes out to deny / correct it?

He denied there was an altercation. He said when he asked, everyone was puzzled, and didn't know anything about anyone making someone cry.

K&W did have other houses.

Including a place when he was working as helicopter rescue.

Don't they have like, 4 places or something? One of them a 'cottage' that the nannies 'don't live in' - well if you don't count the dedicated cottage for them on the same grounds.

Now, MM goes to a film set. Where a make up artist comes along with trays of make up used on everyone, so maybe KM is used to having exclusive make up. A difference there, KM was rude.

How is MM lying.

Scobie already clarified that he was going around talking to people working with MM etc. He made it clear he never spoke to MM (showed in court that JK spoke to him, not MM). He never met MM when writing the book and he was transparent about that.

This is an absolutely ridiculous comment which shows how some posters see everything through the prism of race and allow it to poison everything.

Also, on a film set, make up artists use brushes and would clean the brushes between different actors or use a different set of brushes for each person.

This was because the companies were using it to advertise their own products which was misleading.

As you say, just clean it before next use.

It’s a dick move to not only say the bridesmaids’ dresses need remaking from scratch but to consult your own wedding dress designer for a “Well, the expert agrees with me” backup. If someone did a MN AIBU thread from Kate’s POV they’d get hammered – “I’m married and spent a lot on my wedding: everyone particularly admired my dress. BIL is about to get married and I’m not keen on the fit of the bridesmaids’ dresses, which are designer but not the designer I used, IYSWIM. I had a word with future SIL, with whom I don’t really rub along well with at the best of times, but she wouldn’t listen so I got my wedding dress designer to weigh in and confirm I’m right. There’s four days to go so plenty of time for SIL to have the dresses remade to my ideal but she’s upset and says they can just be tailored. AIBU?”

We already heard KM version. It was that MM made her cry, and she let that run*

It was interesting that this version didn't include Meg's rude and sexist "your hormones" comment and that bit came from Harry 🤯🤯

Kate already made one of the York sisters cry anyway.

Sister in laws shoved together a lot under the media glare with absolutely nothing in common and totally different life experiences don’t understand or like each other. Hardly surprising.
The thing that surprises me is that the palace who presumably have their main job ensuring the wellbeing and ongoing co-operation of their royalty didn’t quickly realise this (or predict it) and rapidly ensure they all had enough space from one another to be able to play nicely when the occasion required. Instead they kept shoving them together. Why? I’d guess total incompetence at the human psychology part of the role due to being boarding school tories with limited socialisation.

I cannot comment about whether Kate was racist or not but l emphasise that racism doesn’t have to be deliberate. The same way when in work places men expected women to make tea etc. I am sure they weren’t deliberately trying to put women down at least not all of them. Being asked to make tea is a very small thing and normally should not be annoying. However if you’re the only woman in your team and it is just being asked to make tea then it can become grating.

Black women’s boundaries are pushed every day and when they defend themselves, they are called angry and aggressive.

Again I am not saying this happened with Kate, but I suspect it probably happened with the staff and it certainly happened with media. The issue was that tge palace was not protecting Meghan

All these Kate/Meghan stories seem oh so petty, but unfortunately it was more grist to Harry’s mill that everyone’s meeeeaaaan.
