I'm feeling a bit sorry for Harry

I feel like he needs his mum more than ever. To put an arm round him and say "enough son".

He needs guidance, he's never had maternal guidance. Its well documented that Williams life has been really enhanced by Kates parents. Harry has never had that and i feel sorry for him.

It’s lovely that he seemed so happy with his cousins but it still remains that he didn’t acknowledge his brother, sister-in-law and nieces and nephews who he was once incredibly close to. It’s tragic. I think Meghan will run for President one day. It’s just one massive power struggle.

FFS. He could hardly have shouted 'coo-ee!' as they went past! There was no opportunity for them to acknowledge each other in the Abbey. For all anyone knows they could've met the evening before – the fact that Harry wasn't at Oswald's makes me think he wonder whether he with his immediate family for some of the time. I'm sure Omid Scobie will tell us later…

I agree, I thought it was sad that his attendance was so sidelined, Wills dressing and kissing Charles on the cheek (very personal and intimate) and Harry hidden behind the ridiculous hat and not acknowledged at all.

Kate acted out all of her duties, being jolly and smiling when needed, but it seemed choreographed. I wondered did all the working royals have ear pieces, instructing them on how to behave, where to look, when to smile or wave.

I think if MM had attended she would have stolen the show!! I think it would have made for better viewing and her youth, agency and freedom would have been a stark contrast to the endless drudgery of lifelong (till deathbed) duty

Pity she didn't rock in, in some amazing outfit and rustled a few feathers...... Maybe rustled Anne's plume.

Youth? She's 41.

CreationNat1on · 07/05/2023 11:19

She s a youthful 41!!

SecretsIWouldNeverTell · 07/05/2023 11:20

PMSL at @CreationNat1on 's post. AS IF Meghan would have stolen the show. Penny Mourdaunt was the one everyone was looking at for a while, it would not have been drab Meghan.

Bugeyedowl · 07/05/2023 11:22

If they have lemon trees it's quite possible Archie has grown up with lemon cake and lemony flavours, it could well be his favourite! Kids like what they are familiar with and what they know, especially when it comes to food.

Oh come on. Calling Meghan drab is like saying Liz Truss has a strong grasp of maths.

Rhondaa · 07/05/2023 11:25

'Couldn't have put this better myself to be honest. Big chicken shit just got in a car and fucked off as soon as he could get away from the Coronation. Don't know why he bothered turning up. He wouldn't have been missed.'

Oh but it was his son's birthday he needed to dash back for that! <phew thanks rf for giving him that very shaky get out clause>

I wonder if he thinks we're as stupid as he is.

'How do you know he was even invited to that? Or that Charles wanted it? He can’t win with you lot can he. So glad he left this behind.'

I would bet a tenner he was invited to formal refreshments at the palace afterwards. Not obviously any relaxed informal family gathering later on, but they won't be able to trust him not to blab to Oprah so hardly likely to let their guards down.

Sudeko · 07/05/2023 11:27

Oh, it's Sunday. The Church Of The Patron Saint Of Montecito springs into action!

😂😂😂Well, you are clearly not insiders in that world so I'll let you believe that you are all knowledgeable about it and I know nothing.

Well, you're the one that was spouting bollocks about it!

😂😂
From who?!
I think they can probably manage to behave appropriately in a church service without instruction.

They rehearsed the nuts and bolts of the ceremony a couple of days before, for all the participants including clergy and the broadcast team. (This would not have included cuing individual smiles and waves though.)

Its really sad.that women are judged purely on the way they look.

Whaeanui · 07/05/2023 11:28

I would bet a tenner oh then it must be true! You’re just creating a fantasy and then judging him based on it.

Pugdogmom · 07/05/2023 11:28

I'm no fan of any of the RF, but Harry went to the Coronation because apparently his Dad wanted him there. He looked fine, and then went on a plane back to his son. Don't see what the issue is.

Sudeko · 07/05/2023 11:00

All apparently to get back for a birthday, that was yesterday.

🤔😁

When I read that bit about Meghan baking a lemon cake using lemons from the mansion garden (how many four year olds would choose a lemon cake? 😐) it look me back to The Cut interview, painstakingly contriving that image of being gold plated free- range and eco super-conscious. I've been there once, biding time in an unsatisfactory relationship feeling virtuous and trying to create some meaning, I know that so well.

There are kids who would pick something unconventional like coffee cake over chocolate.

You are clearly not knowledgeable about Parisian culture and fashion no need to follow me around offering dull clichéd opinions in reply to everything I write.

That was Parisian by the way, not Peacocks.

The rf have never reacted to all his crap, they have always risen above it. There is not a chance he wouldn't have been offered a cup of tea and biscuit afterwards but nope as always he had to make the most of the Evil Media to photograph his dramatic dash to the airport.

user146539089 · 07/05/2023 11:35

There were plenty of opportunities for the brothers, Kate and the children to acknowledge one another.

Sudeko · 07/05/2023 11:38

After several years of Harry dishing the dirt publicly on his family, of course they are not going to let their guards down completely. You got to ask yourself whether he was invited as a formality or whether they really, really wanted him there. It was good that he came for the sake of him not missing out if they ever reconciled in the future and to give him some publicly available content for NF showing that he still retains ties. I'd rush back too. I'm sure they were happy to wave him off.

Your opinions are irrelevant. Maybe tag those who are interested. I'd get more unique insights from watching Eastenders or eavesdropping at Mc Donalds. Stop stalking me.

'You got to ask yourself whether he was invited as a formality or whether they really, really wanted him there.'

Sources said Charles apparently wanted him there. As did Netflix Grin.

I wonder if William will be as gracious when it's his turn, I would guess that'll be a big fat no chance.

It would've been Dior's US-based PR office who sorted out the outfit and the fittings would've been done in LA, not Paris. So you are clearly not knowledgeable at all.

MamoruHisaishi · 07/05/2023 11:45

I think it’s a good thing that Harry left early. The rest of the family are probably relieved that he left sooner rather than later. He was invited because he was the king’s son and it was mer formality, but it’s clear that the royal family have moved on and have no wish to continue communicating with Harry unless they absolutely have to. I think even if Harry wanted to continue milking the cow so to speak, there is nothing left to be said because his appearance clearly showed that he has been shunned by the working members of the royal family and the only ones who spoke to him were Andrew’s side of the family.

You're the one that keeps replying to me! And equally "irrelevant".
