Meghan 'offended' for telling Kate she had 'baby brain'

Well, the Daily Fail have got their hands on a Spanish copy of the ''memoir'', so there is going to be shrapnel flying about from now until kingdom come.

One of these ''revelations'' is that Meghan made a joke about Kate having ''baby brain hormones'' a month after having Louis, which upset Kate, which in turn then upset Meghan.

Can you imagine the Oprah-style feeding frenzy had this been reversed - Kate telling Meghan that she had baby brain and hormones, which would have perfectly tapped into the villainous ice queen depiction that H&M are flogging right now?

Harry is soap operatising the royal family in the most sensational and tabloid dripfeed way possible (calling his brother his 'archnemesis'.

He is shockingly narcissistic, if he thinks this is not also going to also blow up on him and Meghan. The hypocrisy and whole thing is a shit show.

I think it's an offensive thing to say in the context of a disagreement. But I think it's so unintentionally revealing that Kate was upset to the point where William intervened and yet H&M were more bothered by a finger being waved in her direction than the fact she'd really upset her future SIL and BIL, and that they presented this story repeatedly as damage done to them for which Kate 'apologised'. She is a thank-you-letter and flower-sender type; of course she sent flowers after they had a row. Harry should know better than to allow Meghan to imply that means she admits was at fault. I think it's graceless in the extreme to talk about something like that publicly anyway, assuming Meghan accepted the flowers, and it seems she sent absolutely nothing back to Kate. I think the reason BP didn't intervene on their behalf to correct stories is because the pair of them are completely unable to be objective about their own behaviour and stories couldn't be corrected because they were true. The more Harry talks, the more sympathy I feel for the palace.

I think MM has form for coming across as very condescending and can imagine it did come across as rude. All these vile insights into family disputes are getting embarrassing now and utterly childish. Silence is dignity.

Meghan so wanted to queen bee Kate. Kate is not your natural queen bee so felt very uncomfortable as she is Meghan senior in the firm. You get personalities like Meghan who enter a new workplace and instantly want to change things and to be the boss even if they're junior. Bloody annoying people.

Yes, that's the exact energy here. Meghan was challenging the hierarchy all the time and thinks it's a good thing, like a very keen new hire. That's not the job.

I think it's sad that Harry talks about rivalry with his brother when he was never in the race. He could only have become king if William (and now his family) died; it's not a popularity contest and even if it was, I don't think he would ever have won it. He seems thoroughly deluded.

Can someone please tell me why. Baby Brain is so offensive. to me it’s like saying it must be that time of the month, it means you are not "right" at that moment, hence your judgment/actions are questionable .
imagine someone you’ve only met a handful of times telling you that , and imagine all her friends witnessing it, I’d be furious ,

Imagine making the effort to go to a bridesmaid fitting whilst about to pop or with a tiny newborn in tow. Feeling fat uncomfortable and tired but making the effort to turn up, and having your new sister in law making a disparaging sexist comment like that.

I’d cry too.

And don’t forget it would have been said in front of Jessica Mulroney and others, Kate must have felt she was being bullied by the mean girls.

Are you one of those people who talk about banter when you mean bullying ?
I used to work with a bully who tried to tell me I have no sense of humour when I retaliated to his comments.

Yeah hardly any of this stuff would be of interest if it involved the family down the road. Why do H&M think it’s worth sharing with the public?

'You have baby brain hormones' is Meghan's way to say Kate was hysterical. Not cool.

Telling someone they have Covid Brian can be offensive depending on the circumstance. Clearly Meghan has been playing power games from the beginning.

There’s a bit in one of the articles saying that William pointed his finger at Meghan and told her off for saying it and she told him something like ‘get your finger out of my face.’ I quite like her for that. William is starting to come across as insufferably pompous.

Well i have got so
Much more respect for william after reading Harry's winge fest! He clearly doesn't suffer fools easily ( or social climbing, narcissistic liars) says what he thinks and acts on his opinion! He will make a fantastic king!

I don't care. Now we've got to the spanking bit, I can't look away. He's absolute gold now. If loving this is wrong, I don't want to be right.

drinkyourwater · 05/01/2023 18:33

Putting 2 and 2 together and making 46, I imagine Kate said something like 'I thought the little bridesmaids were wearing tights?' and Megan did a tinkly laugh 'is that your baby brain kicking in again?' answer.

Catspyjamas17 · 05/01/2023 16:53

Are you all hate Meghan bots or what? Honestly it's all just so minor. It's the sort of thing my SIL would say to me, we would both laugh and we would certainly not be falling out about it.

If one of my SiLs said it to me I'd smile and laugh politely. If the other one said it to me I'd want to slap her.

Codfishermen · 05/01/2023 18:37

I lost a baby who was born prem. The grief hit me hard (she was an IVF baby too so possibly our last chance to be parents). Three days after the birth/death my MIL told be I was hormonal and my SIL had been just the same after her (very much alive) baby had been born, always bursting into tears. Do you think I should have laughed about that too?

Your MIL sounds like a twat.

goodbyestranger · 05/01/2023 18:41

Yes, what a seriously stupid, grim MIL

You can't be a senior royal and release this stuff and expect people not to talk about it.

Especially the spanking stuff. I can't breathe. This is amazing.

BradfordGirl · 05/01/2023 18:47

The reaction from people reminds me of when the tampax tape was revealed between Charles and Camilla.

goodbyestranger · 05/01/2023 18:48

The tampax tape was genius tbf

I completely agree with this. Trying to make a living as a jobbing actress in Hollywood must be soul destroying. Meghan showed great tenacity in building her career to the point she did.

Agree with this tenfold! I don't like some of the ways she comes across but this is disgusting misogyny.

goodbyestranger · 05/01/2023 18:49

As was Andrew's inability to sweat and his over honourableness.

goodbyestranger · 05/01/2023 18:49

And still the public fawns.
