I feel the same posh - it would be a shame.

That makes it all the more disgusting that the Royal family exploited her. I think Archie and Lillibet are best kept away.

Bullshit Rocky
It was an arranged marriage &
it was for her family to protect her. Not the royals.

I had an arranged marriage as did sil & BIL, PIL, my parents & most of my cousins. It’s for the parent to decide whether the groom/bride is a good fit for their child. One of my cousins met her husband 2 days before her wedding but the negotiations had been done.

I accept though that the RF didn’t choose wisely for Charles. Things could have been very different. Unfortunately they were both needy people & didn’t find what they needed in each other.

Are you sure Harry didn't sing the national anthem?

I find it sad that Harry is undermining the monarchy but he is his mother's son as he repeatedly stated in the Netflix programme and obviously holds a massive grudge.

It's embarrassing, rather than publicly airing his dirty linen, he should move forward with love and humility. He's rich beyond imagination, he has only ever been the spare so nothing new here. He's still a million times better off than the majority of people on this planet. He will be remembered as a Sir Spoilt Whingebag.

Sadly, he didn’t appear to be singing. IIRC HMTQ’s funeral was shown on two different channels, BBC and ???, so not everyone saw the same footage. I’m pretty sure that we watched the BBC coverage, which clearly showed Harry not singing, then briefly Meghan, who also didn’t appear to be singing. I heard that the other channel showed Beatrice or Eugenie clearly upset ☹️ which wasn’t shown on the channel I was watching, so if you saw that then you wouldn’t have seen H&M not singing.

Of course KC would invite his son to his Coronation. He's a Duke so I suspect that protocol dictates that he gets invited automatically . If KC wanted to make a strong statement that he'd not invite Andrew but I suspect that he's keeping A close so he doesn't do a Harry and try to cash in.
We will inevitably get the will L and A fly over speculation but considering that A's birthday is on the same day, I think that he will bring the kids. I think that Meghan's rumoured memoir and future series of their Netflix show means that they will attend.

BethJ62 · 03/01/2023 21:43

I am sure they will be invited but will they actually attend ? How on earth would that work ? Harry would have kneel and swear allegiance ( although I think there is another term) to The King and Queen . Would doing that not make everyone question all the complaints etc ?

They will definitely attend, their whole status depends on their relationship and proximity to the Royal family.

Nonsense, the British Press would report this, why wouldn't they. If they're not reporting it, it's because it's not true.

I don't think it will be a long and happy marriage because they are both damaged people but for now they are still together that's obvious. It's not that long since the walk about and they were clearly still together then. They ring fenced their assets because if one is sued then the other's assets are safe.

My mother is like MM, always the victim, never wrong, she can hurt you but you can't ask her to stop, zero capacity for self-reflection. My father is a weak man who enables her and enjoys being her rescuer in situations she has made up. It is uncanny. My Dad lost his mum at 7. They have been together 55 years.

This will probably be H&M. They are co-dependent and neither will probably instigate a split but I can totally imagine them as Martha and George in a few years time (from Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf).

Besides there will be more fodder for their sense of injustice. More material for interviews about how terribly they were treated at the Coronation.

PicturesOfDogs · 03/01/2023 21:55

Or, don’t attend and still use an invite as material?
’After the way they’ve treated us, how dare they expect us to come and kneel before them and swear fealty to them’ etc etc

Yep. They can't stay away. They need to have something to talk about, complain about, feel hard done by. The family will do more olive branches, again, in a vain attempt to keep the peace. Hopefully then there will be tumbleweed.

ThighMistress · 03/01/2023 22:37

It’s probably part of their Netflix deal that they must attend (with crew and notebooks).

Not sure about that. MM has, it seems, form for decisively and swiftly erasing husbands, partners, relatives, colleagues and friends from her life and not looking back.

Petlover9 · 03/01/2023 22:47

SallyLockheart · 02/01/2023 12:33

they have clearly been reading all the polls in the UK about not wanting them at the coronation and being stripped of their titles

Think you have hit the nail on the head . Sooner or later Hapless and MeAgain will part, I think he is a twerp

Maximinimalist · 03/01/2023 23:07

I hope all of you hoping Harry and Meghan split have solid relationships. Karma exists and the ditch you dig for someone, you may well fall into it.

It is better to focus on your own relationships than that of two people who have zero real impact on your lives.

I saw an interesting tweet on Twitter today which pointed out that M and H would be separated for the whole ceremony and would she be able to cope with that.

tasamoon · 03/01/2023 23:22

Every question will have been approved in advance, and I also expect that Harry will have requested, and got, the right to preview the final interview before release.

No journalist worth their salt would ever agree to this. Harry needs to do interviews to promote his book. He will be contractually obliged to do them.

His power and influence goes as far as to choose, out of the bids, which journalists would conduct the interviews. And choosing ones he hoped would be more sympathetic. He might try to say that certain topics are "off limits" but the journalists might not agree.

There is no way they will give him approval of questions or edits.

She was way too young for him. It was creepy.

It is quite horrendous that people are hoping they'll split. Even if you don't like them personally, little Archie and Lillibet are completely innocent.

I think anyone would be a miffed if they were separated from their husband at an event. Wouldn't you be missed off is someone did that to you?

Not really. I can manage to be separated from my bloke for an hour or so.

If your DH was Best Man at a wedding, sat at the front during the ceremony, top table at the wedding breakfast etc you’d cope wouldn’t you?

I don't think people are hoping they split, just pointing out it's a possibility.

I feel that when people thrust their relationship at you by videoing it all and playing it to the world via netflix, it's appropriate for people to comment.

I wouldn't advertise my relationship on Netflix, or post videos to the world of my husband and I doing yoga together (not that we ever would.do yoga together!!) I also wouldn't air my family's laundry for the world to see. If I did, I'd expect people to comment on what they'd seen, to speculate and to discuss.

If you don't want it talked about. If you don't want people to speculate. Then keep private and turn the cameras off.

BornBlonde · 03/01/2023 23:25

@Gilmorehill why would they be separated during the ceremony?

As far as I know the Royal Dukes have to kneel before the new Monarch . Harry will say "I, Henry, Duke of Sussex, do become your liege man of life and limb, and of earthly worship; and faith and truth I will bear unto you, to live and die, against all manner of folks. So help me God."
Meghan and other wives will be seated elsewhere during the proceedings.
Look at photos of 1953 Coronation and you will see that Queen Mary , the QM , Margaret and other Royal women were on a balcony watching proceedings.
