He’s very much a deluded man at this stage. And the fact that they don’t understand that at this stage they are flogging a dead horse is laughable.

Wasn’t it said that Harry tried to change pieces of the book last minute after the Queen passed away? Because of how it would be received. Surely if they were saying the whole truth nothing would need to be recanted.

The next time those two will garner any kind of hungry attention is when/if they divorce. And whatever about Meghan it will be extremely interesting to see what Harry says and does if that day comes. He truly is isolated.

His arrogance and plain contempt for his own family and sheer ego that he has reminds me a lot of Prince Andrew. (Serious allegations left aside of course for Harry)

And he might wish he had a family back. I believe on some level that it is true he misses them. But whatever is going on in the background with them two is not allowing him to reflect on his own actions in all of this.

Not to mention I don’t think the British public would welcome him back with open arms after all they have said and implied there!

julz87 · 02/01/2023 16:37

Harry wants his family back but he didn't care when TM wanted his daughter back.. nor did he care that he has never met his grandchildren.

Harry is pathetic.

Lockupyourbiscuits · 02/01/2023 16:37

One other part of the book that might cause problems if if Harry talks in detail about Afghanistan
He has broadcast how worried he is about security, it seems idiotic to raise this

He literally thinks no further than the end of his nose 😩

SighsTheNewWord · 02/01/2023 16:39

I actually don't think Harry cares about being the spare; he seems like someone who prefers his freedom. He's probably latching onto that 'Spare' rhetoric to sell his book but perhaps all he wanted was for his family to be head over heels in love with his wife as much as he is and when that wasn't happening, he felt hurt on her behalf and wanted to support her. It also probably made him feel like he can't do anything right in their eyes so he may not feel valued as a member, not necessarily heir.

Has Thomas Markle kept quiet then as requested by H&M?

How is this relevant to what I said? He did speak, so did Meghan. Both say they’re estranged. Only Harry is speaking about his estrangement.

HotChoxs · 02/01/2023 16:40

He wants a family not an institution. Perhaps he would have preferred to grow up on a rough estate?

Anyway, I really can't be bothered with this, I hope this is the final hurrah and that they fade away.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 02/01/2023 16:40

Mamma34575
They failed to protect Meghan from racist stories in the media. The family did nothing to stop it, saying that everyone else had to go through it at some point, not recognising how much worse racist abuse can be.

Two questions arise here.

One, whose word do we have for their having said everyone else had to go through it at some point: his, or theirs? (Or just something that has been said on here.)

Two, have the RF ever had any particular success in controlling what the gutter press do or do not say about them? (If they did have that ability, you'd think Harry might have a little more trouble screaming his woes from the rooftops. And that after Diana's death the RF would not have been so widely trashed and vilified because the gutter press needed someone to blame other than themselves for the way she was hounded to her death by the paparazzi.)

Glindara · 02/01/2023 16:42

Inkanta · 02/01/2023 16:31

Yes brutal hounding online - as explained in the documentary.

Agree this happens and is abhorrent.

Should this not be the priority of the SM companies Twitter / Meta etc to ensure their platforms are oppression free? And if they can’t step up to self regulation then our lawmakers need to step in.

I really wonder if his wife looks at him sometimes and thinks “Wtaf have I done?”

I bet she does! I remember when they were at the UN I think and he pulled his hand away from here but she grabbed it back. Everyone saw it as evidence of her being controlling and Harry losing interest. I didn’t. I thought it looked like a petulant/sulky hand drop and she looked as though she was trying to placate him and mend whatever was going on.

I am interested (because I don’t know) if Thomas Markle has continued to talk to the press after H&M asked him not to - or if he has gone quiet.

If both (MM & TM) have confirmed that they are estranged but MM then deems it appropriate to give a one sided “expose” monologue via NF about Thomas Markle to a global media audience but TM has been requested not to speak - it seems unfair?

As I said I have no idea if he is continuing to speak to the media or if he has chosen to go silent.

Fluffymule · 02/01/2023 17:01

I understand that Thomas Markle is seriously ill, has been for some time now, and has trouble physically speaking at all. I'm sure I saw something reported that he had spent further time in hospital last year too.

Which would suggest he has been pretty silent, whether by choice or not.

piedbeauty · 02/01/2023 17:05

With all his navel gazing and self awareness, you'd think he'd spend some time thinking about how his actions impact OTHER people, wouldn't you???

Got you. I agree.

Harry really needs something to do.

He desperately needs a job.

Problem is, who'd employ him?

He would have had a job with the family firm, but it seems he decided against it.

He’s a grown man. There’s been far too much infantilising of Harry, probably because his mum died when he was twelve and his emotional growth stopped then. It’s ridiculous for a grown man to expect their family to be as in love with their partner as they are. The RF were very welcoming of Meghan, she said so herself in the engagement interview and she was invited to things Kate was never allowed to go to before marriage. He is childish and emotionally immature.

Maireas · 02/01/2023 17:16

Wasn't he given a senior role in the Commonwealth?

1mabon · 02/01/2023 17:20

Bitter man. I would not trust either he or his wife, they would wear wires and then tell the story to Netflix for a few million
.

ReunitedThorns · 02/01/2023 17:20

After sitting through 6 hours of their boring Netflix series I think we all need a break from it.

Highfivemum · 02/01/2023 17:20

MarshaMelrose · 02/01/2023 15:00

Exactly. I've just read Martina Navratilova has been diagnosed with breast and throat cancer and she's moans less than him. He's truly blessed but he's just to wrapped up in self-pity to see it.

Oh no. That is such sad news.

BellePeppa · 02/01/2023 17:22

StaunchMomma · 02/01/2023 16:20

I'd bet those most angered by this won't even read the article, as was the case with those who were furious about the Netflix show & didn't watch that either.

This weird collective public outrage is even more pathetic than the amount of articles written about the pair.

I wish Harry, Meghan & the baying crowds of fury would all piss off, frankly.

You're ALL boring.

You do realise you are part of the baying crowds (your rant backs that up). 😁

This is exactly how I feel. When the two of them likely get their divorce it will be interesting to see what she has to say about him (in probably another exclusive Netflix series).

He as become as boorish as his uncle and will likely come back a recluse like him after the likely divorce.

Don't burn all of your bridges, because some day you'll likely have to cross them.

sashagabadon · 02/01/2023 17:25

His behaviour is astonishing. I’m actually a big believer in forgiveness but some contrition from the aggressor is appropriate. Not grovelling just an apology but Harry is no where near thinking he is the one at fault, he still thinks he is the victim and so if I was William I’d steer well clear. Charles it’s maybe different as he is the parent and so better able to forgive and forget but not yet.

Yes I agree. How many would happily swap for the chance not to have a mortgage / worry about seeing a doctor. Putting food in the table. Heating the house. How many wouldn’t swap to even have a family. ? He has one different than most but he has one. He grew up without a care, he wasn’t neglected or beaten or left alone. Life for him has been a lucky one in so many ways. He wants freedom. He has it and yet still he is moaning. He lost his mum young so very sad but others do and some don’t have a mother. I wish them well but I don’t think either will find happiness unless they take some responsibility for themselves and stop basking in self pity.

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 02/01/2023 13:39

Nailed it in one. Meghan backs him up 100% and so do their hanger on friends.

My DB was married to a woman who’d been traumatised and had undergone years of therapy and she projected issues within our family which weren’t there at all, so I can see similar in what Meghan is doing, I’m guessing.

There is truth in what you say. He has said 'they' wouldn't stop until Meghan was dead, 'they' treated her as Diana was treated etc and dear Meghan is there to play on Harry's paranoia.
I only found out today that 'Spare' is one of 4 planned volumes, and that Meghan is writing a memoir of her time in the RF. So we have tons of hysterical dramas, embellished events and downright lies to look to forward to. But how long can they keep this.boring drivel going? They've surely mined the months they were in the Royal Family to the depths. There can't be much left to dig up.

Bestcatmum · 02/01/2023 17:31

God almighty. Why do they think anyone gives a shit. People in the UK are suffering unimaginable hardship and can't even access health care because of the appalling crisis currently.
The last thing I need is to listen to this poor little me and I want to be king of everyone's heart crap after a 12 hour shift for the 6th day running.
There they are living in luxury without a care in the world. I wish they would just go away.
