They've surely mined the months they were in the Royal Family to the depths. There can't be much left to dig up.

There's one major thing left to dig up, which they will, sadly it has zilch to do with H and M, much as they will try to make out it does, and be very hurtful indeed to the RF

Harry is showing astounding arrogance and entitlement in all of this.
Didn't he also say (possibly in the last section of the NF bore-fest) that his family showed "misunderstanding" of it all? Something like that, anyway.

KalvinPhillipsBoots · 02/01/2023 17:34

Get rid of his wife then perhaps bridges can be built. He clearly had a lot of built up anger over the years, Meghan just helped him release it.

WilsonMilson · 02/01/2023 17:34

Harry doesn’t seem to appreciate that actions have consequences. If you throw your family under the bus in the most public way possible, why would you then feel aggrieved that they don’t want to reconcile with you?

He’s a gigantic man child, with huge entitlement, a massive chip on his shoulder and has had his childhood trauma well and truly exploited by Meghan who seems to have fashioned herself into Diana reincarnated.

An abysmal pair of plonkers.

Gilmorehill · 02/01/2023 17:35

I can’t understand H at all. He was zero self awareness. I’ve also never seen a public figure who has united public opinion like him. I don’t know a single person in RL who doesn’t think he’s a twat.

EngTech · 02/01/2023 17:36

There will come a point, I am there already, that it becomes boring

There are bigger stories to worry about in the UK e.g. Cost of living crisis, ongoing strikes, country falling to bits etc 😳

What’s this please?

GyozaGuiting · 02/01/2023 17:36

I don’t understand why he keeps banging on. He’s saying the same thing over and over, in print, in a series, in a 60 minute special.
You don’t like being a royal, you don’t like the UK, we get it.
He needs to move on, get therapy, reconcile in private. He’s only making it worse for himself and the public get less and less interested, and they garner less sympathy with each deal.

Harry decided, unwisely I think, to try to take on the media. He was never going to win and the Palace knew it. He tried to get the family to join with him in his crusade but they also knew it would be futile, counter-productive and dangerous to the Monarchy. Harry chose to interpret that as selling him and Meghan down the river.

Maireas · 02/01/2023 17:40

He decided to take on the media?
I do wonder what he thinks Netflix is, or the Oprah show, or Cut magazine, or Variety.

Something imaginary

CheshireCat1 · 02/01/2023 17:40

To be honest I’m not interested in what he has to say. It’s all background noise.

BlackFriday · 02/01/2023 17:43

Don't forget that a high volume of book sales doesn't necessarily mean that those buying/reading it agree with him.
I think he's over-egged his pudding here.

Yes.

Didn't he release a statement not long after they "went public" in effect telling the press off?

I'm not sure what more he expected "them" (his family?) to do.

As a rule they don't issue such statements do they?

Possibly Harry was advised not to & when he did he was on his own?

Maybe that was hurtful if that's what happened but at the end of the day he's an adult & must realise that he can't keep wailing "they did/didn't do what I wanted"

DorritLittle · 02/01/2023 17:48

Charles might, but I would be astonished if William agrees to any mèeting with them. The trust is now gone. He also won't want to give them any new material.

Aye. We had the wisteria.

Now we have Japanese knotweed.

Excellent Grin

AuroraCake · 02/01/2023 17:50

He was told not to take on the media…he fundamentally disagreed…ala Netflix.

You can’t control the media. There is absolutely no point. However they aren’t exposed to public scrutiny now. Only difference but also can’t get them to have any serious coverage of their work bar Invictus. Now it’s all slating them. Now it’s just eye rolling.

feellikeanalien · 02/01/2023 17:50

I just don't see where this is going to end up. Is he going to carry on whingeing for the rest of his life. Any chance they had of being viewed as "humanitarians" and focusing on service which seemed to be what they were suggesting initially when they left the RF is becoming less and less likely. Surely as they moan more and more and are seen as being one trick ponies then any charity or cause would be more likely to be harmed from their association with them than benefit from it.

I really don't see their long term strategy here and hope for the sake of their kids they get their acts together and enjoy a happy and fulfilled life. Bitching about your family doesn't seem to be the way to do that.

BornBlonde · 02/01/2023 17:51

It's all so tacky. Reminds me of Katie Price/Kerry Katina years ago making a career out of re-hashing insults. He's already had the Oprah interview, the book and now 2 new interviews due this month.

He's selling out his family for money it's really repulsive. He should focus on his blessings and counselling. Especially if he thinks he wants to rebuild relationships.

bakalava · 02/01/2023 17:51

They wanted their provocations to set the wheel of content-generation in motion but the wheel is stuck without a reaction from the RF. It must be so frustrating for H&M who thought they were controlling the narrative. To have NF breathing down your backs and making you feel that you have lost them a ton of money.

This to @feellikeanalien

Surely PR people are telling them this will not help the image they want of philanthropy/service/community/kindness

bakalava · 02/01/2023 17:53

That was the reason why she married him, in a nutshell

BasiliskStare · 02/01/2023 17:54

I used to really like Harry , despite his youthful indiscretions. But he does come across now as bitter & arrogant & naive. He doesn't like being "the spare" but has he ever thought that the only reason a reasonably likely lad with a cheeky personality would have been able to set up Sentenable or the Invictus Games was being brother of the heir , grandson to the Queen . Come on Harry - you know your privilege ( or you ought to) . Being 2nd son of the current King - well - forgive me if I don't cry a river.

It will never happen but I would love to see them being interviewed by the likes of Jeremy Paxman in his heyday who would not just take "their truth" as the final answer. I would like to think Anderson Cooper ( who I quite like) would be a bit less fluffy than Oprah but I suspect the whole thing is ringed by what questions allowed etc.
