Oh dear...

He’s a man on a mission to change things in a way he thinks they need to be changed.
Has he forgotten that he left, that he is not part of the furniture anymore?
Has it not sunk in yet?

Glassofwhatever · 17/12/2022 21:45

Agree surely no invite to the coronation under any circumstances?

Butitsnotfunnyisititsserious · 17/12/2022 21:47

The RF won't have a sit down with them as they've shown anything that happens will be made public. They lost the right when they betrayed the family.

Blip · 17/12/2022 21:47

Sounds like they are invited to the coronation and I don't see why they wouldn't go.

Blip · 17/12/2022 21:49

I think they need to carry on being seen to be Royal. As without that is anything left?

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 17/12/2022 21:49

So if they get an apology they’ll go away and be quiet will they?

I bet Charles and W&K are heartily fed up of the pair of them and also frustrated but relieved that they can’t reply. H&M will never shut up now though, they’re too far gone on the merry go round of speaking to anyone who’ll listen and sympathise and get them to say more.

The media of course love all this and H&M are really coming across as being too stupid to actually to listen to eg Michelle Obama and be quiet/let it die down.

Inspecto · 17/12/2022 21:49

The request for an apology has been taken out of context. It’s happening in response to and this helps explain:

The couple feel the royal family has shown double standards by instigating a reconciliation meeting between Ngozi Fulani, the charity boss, and Lady Susan Hussey, a former lady-in-waiting to Queen Elizabeth. The latter made “unacceptable and deeply regrettable” comments about Fulani’s heritage last month, and Hussey offered her “sincere apologies” at last week’s meetings.
**
A source close to the Sussexes said: “Nothing like that was ever done when Harry and Meghan raised various concerns — no meeting, formal apology or taking responsibility or accountability. That is hard to swallow — 100 per cent yes they’d like to have a meeting.

Of course they'll be invited!

But I think only George will be old enough to be a page, but I expect all the DGC will be invited on to the balcony

JustAnotherManicNameChange · 17/12/2022 21:56

The article is just a more polished, polite and socially acceptable version of Jeremy Clarkson's vile rant. Similar levels of "journalism " , but one can claim some veneer of respectability under the Times umbrella.

Shit in sparkly foil, is still shit, not chocolate.

BellePeppa · 17/12/2022 21:59

Oh boo hoo. The RF staying quiet must be driving these two creeps mad.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 17/12/2022 22:00

Hang on.....why are we believing what the press say?

BethJ62 · 17/12/2022 22:01

I don’t understand why they would want to go to the Coronation. They feel they have been badly treated . They think the Royal Family is toxic .

Samcro · 17/12/2022 22:03

Op how much are you being paid?

StClare101 · 17/12/2022 22:10

What I find baffling is why on earth would they even want to go to the coronation given what it signifies? Maybe they don’t….

They keep using their Duke and Duchess titles though so nothing would surprise me.

LolaSmiles · 17/12/2022 22:11

VivienneDelacroix
Agree with you about how hurt children easily grow into adults who have dysfunctional relationships/parenting styles.

But considering how much H&M seem to over-egg how terrible life was, they seem to think the public will forget that they were very happy to have a half in, half out relationship. If it really was as bad as they keep saying, why on earth would they have wanted anything to do with the RF at all? It does feel like a flounce on their part that they didn't get their own way.

They could have left, raised their children away from the public eye, and been private citizens, albeit very wealthy private citizens. Plenty of celebrities live their lives away from the press and raise families out of the public eye.

Oh look, yet another biased newspaper article quoting random sources and people believing every word they read as it must be true. I can’t even see where H & M actually said this.

he said she said…

gailforce1 · 17/12/2022 22:14

To show any signs of being genuine Harry and Meghan should voluntarily give up their titles. They show such hatred towards the Royal family you would think that they would want to distance themselves as far as possible not cling to titles which are meaningless to them.

The Gayle King bit is precisely sourced.

I don't think that her show is shown in UK (or if it is, I don't think it gets a very high audience) so this article is probably the only place that UK residents might see her comments.

As she's believed to be close to the Sussexes, I think that comment is interesting in itself (regardless of rest of the article)

Jennybeans401 · 17/12/2022 22:21

Even if the RF concede to this it will feel very artificial and forced. I also don't think an apology is really needed, the press should be the ones to apologise.

I also really wouldn't trust H&M. They'd want to film everything, I hope William is strong enough to encourage all conversations to be private.

Eyerollcentral · 17/12/2022 22:25

These two are hilarious. I love the way they keep wanting HR style meetings in the royal family. It’s not gonna happen babes. Meghan must be rageballs she is out of time with an employment tribunal claim. She is determined to make them out to be like a branch of wernham Hogg in a faux attempt to be down with the people in their little jobs with their little employment problems. Neither of them have ever had what any one on here would consider a ‘real job’ in a month of Sundays!!! They would be astounded that most HR involvement revolves around facts!!!
The book is going to be absolutely cut throat. They must be dreading it dropping. I don’t think they expected the queen to die before it came out. Now things have shifted substantially and granny isn’t there to take Harry’s side. They are screwed and want to try and claw back some place before it comes out and to be included in the coronation. Otherwise they’ve no story to sell going forward and they have nothing else but their brief royal past as a couple

Jennybeans401 · 17/12/2022 22:28

I think they should give up their titles due to their feelings about the RF. They'd be just Haz and Meg then, live a quiet life in California.

I just can't see it.

Charles' response...

A senior Palace source told The Times: “If they want to get in touch with the King, they know where he lives" 😁

Made me smile too..true or not!

Puzzledandpissedoff · 17/12/2022 22:30

You may well ask Confused

I'm surprised it's The Times though; admittedly I don't read that either, but thought it was supposed to be reasonably respectable and therefore less likely to make up crap?

cyclamenqueen · 17/12/2022 19:40

As my mother used to say ; wanting is not a good reason for having

I always tell my kids 'I want never gets'

Really do wish they'd leave the RF alone now.

whymewhynow · 17/12/2022 22:30

Hmm, I wonder how long until the contents of the investigation into the bullying allegations accidentally finds its way into the hands of a trusted journalist? The palace doesn't need to say anything with that up its sleeve.
