@JustAnotherManicNameChange But I haven’t said any of this ‘What I'm not willing to accept is that only MM is lying and everyone else including unnamed sources and (highly biased )media are telling the truth .’
I have said I think they are a pair of jokers trying to present themselves as underlings in some kind of business going to HR people. H and M are not down to earth kind of people. They haven’t been battling with Horrible bosses like many of us do. Meghan is not a poor girl done good - she might be poorer than Harry, she is certainly poorer than Oprah but for those of us actually poor in childhood it’s a bit of a joke tbh.
I have also said that whilst it seems pretty clear that Meghan bullied and harassed a number of staff from their jobs, there are probably worse stories about others that the Palace wants to keep under wraps.
TBH I think they are both pretty reasonable comments.

The request for an apology has been taken out of context. It’s happening in response to and this helps explain:

The couple feel the royal family has shown double standards by instigating a reconciliation meeting between Ngozi Fulani, the charity boss, and Lady Susan Hussey, a former lady-in-waiting to Queen Elizabeth. The latter made “unacceptable and deeply regrettable” comments about Fulani’s heritage last month, and Hussey offered her “sincere apologies” at last week’s meetings.
**
A source close to the Sussexes said: “Nothing like that was ever done when Harry and Meghan raised various concerns — no meeting, formal apology or taking responsibility or accountability. That is hard to swallow — 100 per cent yes they’d like to have a meeting.

Ah. So who is it that they want the apology from, one wonders...

I wonder if Harry thinks he is reforming the Monarchy in the way Diana did?

His approach is a huge departure and unprecedented in the Royal Family's history.

I am not a Royal fan but I loved the late Queen's 'never complain never explain' motto. Harry is doing the complete opposite.

I think/hope he knows what he wants. They are certainly known globally and must have made a small fortune through this.

I would also hazard he didn't really love his family and that is actually ok. Love is earned and they failed him in that.

‘Unprecedented’ I think you need to read up on Edward VIII

Whistling it's really fucking worrying how people lose their inability to think for themselves and blindly believe nonsense because it's online. 😬

....or on Netflix.

Poor Lady Sue. She's going to be very busy...

What's that got to do with my post?

I don't believe this stupid article and whoever wrote this is no journalist.
Until I hear from either Harry or Meghan that they want a summit, then I'll listen

The fact that you have read and believe this article and the so called "sources", is on you.

Quite, a friend of the King told me just the other day that a senior palace official, heard from a courier that a member if the Royal family wore odd socks the other day.

Macaroni1924 · 17/12/2022 23:21

People around her are telling her that proposal or these two doing x, y or z is going to be seen as an attack on the institution, then she’s going to go on the advice she’s been given.” Here, then, is Harry’s new version of the Queen — a pushover monarch, guided more by courtiers than her own razor-sharp instinct honed over a 70-year reign.

How is this any different from the queen being told what to do years ago re Princess Margaret and Peter Townsend? She has always been guided by others and then would have been a time to stand by her sister and she didn’t. I’m sure there are plenty of other examples. Is this not how the institution works, people in the background calling the shots, guiding the press and ensuring everything appears as perfect as it can?

HitMeWithAHotNoteAndWatchMeBounce · 17/12/2022 23:22

If the Royal Family give them one, will they shut up and fuck off once and for all? 🙏

If so, it’s a small price to pay.

MarshaMelrose · 17/12/2022 23:27

No, that's not how it works. The Queen was the Queen. Not a puppet. As all sensible people would do, she listened to expert advice and opposing opinions. Then she decided what she'd do. It was the palace's job to carry out those, wishes and make everything as perfect as it could be.

M may have encountered some Horrible Bosses...

Therefore not Harry’s new version of the Queen? He hasn’t called her a pushover he has said that she was told… aka given advice.

OMG. It was the Duke of Gloucester. He came to our village hall and embarrassedly pointed it out - not that we hadn't noticed. Lol!. Really lovely guy.

And Mrs Simpson. Another American divorcee.

My sister has an annoying habit of telling me something and when I don't agree with her, she tells me I haven't understood. 🙄 😂😂

I don't know what Harry's new version is. But I guess if she wouldn't agree with what he wanted, he'll have decided it couldn't be her opinion. Because like my sister, he can't countenance not getting his own way so someone else must be at fault.

So why excuse does the Queen have for failing to defend the faith properly?

Faith numbers dropped throughout her reign. So you’ll be hard pressed to argue she did well as ‘defender of the faith’.

Can you imagine her appraisal with God?

You already created a posted about that once today and it was so banal no one bothered replying to it 😂

Or, it was another example of responding with a “never complain and never explain” banal answer to anything challenging people to think.

Like it or not, but I’m making a fair point.

Georgeskitchen · 18/12/2022 00:07

Princess Margaret could have married Peter Townsend but she would have to give up her Royal privileges. She wasn't willing to do that 😕

  • I meant what not why.
Macaroni1924 · 18/12/2022 00:09

Jeezo I have no idea what’s going on now. I just feel it’s unfair to make it out like Harry has said something he hasn’t, it’s what the press always do. At no point did he say she was a pushover or that she had lost her razor sharp instinct. I think Harry is a very likeable young man and has done what he thinks is best for his family. It’s a shame that he has had to choose one over the other.

Yes but the Queen had the ability to let them marry when they initially wanted to and chose not to. I personally don’t think I could forgive my sister if she had done that.
