No I didn’t deliberately omit - I was just too lazy! Of course she would have had professional lessons, particularly for such an occasion. Lots of people do that. She could easily afforded to have a top makeup artist there and it would have been quicker and easier. The fact she chose not to suggests she’s not a very high maintenance person.

On the contrary, the opposite is true. It would have been far easier and cheaper to have had a make up artist do it than have people come to her home numerous times for her to learn and practise how to do it herself. You make it sound as if she popped to the BB counter in John Lewis for a quick session on how to apply lipstick. And the Kate of today is very different to 29 year old Kate who has numerous homes and people doing everything for her.

Absolute rubbish. Super injunctions only impact reporting in England and Wales (or Scotland also if you can tie up getting an interdict at precisely the same time). But the way all the media outlets know they can’t report on either the story or the injunction itself is because they are all served with a copy of the order.

So you’d have journalists in newsrooms across the country, many with sister publications in foreign countries, knowing about the story, and perfectly able to tell their foreign-publishing colleagues about it, just not able to publish anything about it themselves. And the fact that William had obtained an injunction to quash reporting on an affair would be HUGE news worldwide.

I don’t get what’s aspirational about marrying a rich bloke, never having a career of your own, popping out kids and being thin and completely silent (apart from grinning and laughing for the press). How is that something to emulate? Never giving an opinion or standing up for anything or showing any signs of being your own person? Not something any feminist should be wanting to emulate or have respect for. I have respect for people who stand up for what they believe in and live life on their own terms, even if it means people don’t like you. Not just being a total subservient doormat.

It must be quite something if you feel justified in mocking someone as impressive as the Princess of Wales, who juggles parenthood, a catalogue of charitable causes, and a life under public scrutiny with charm and aplomb.
