Meghan & Harry Were Lying From The Start, Weren't They?

TheShellBeach · 15/12/2022 17:47

As per the thread title.

Right from the word go, Meghan and Harry were not telling the truth. About anything.

Now the Netflix series has come out it just proves it, over and over again.

Roussette is always trying to make out that people who do not approve of MM are racist. It can never be possible that people do not like her because of what she says and does.

Im afraid that is the trait of every thing they post, one might think there is another agenda being pushed. 😂

Roussette · 16/12/2022 11:41

eople buy papers for plenty of reasons and the DM does print both factual and very funny stories that are good for a light hearted read and a chuckle

Yeah like stories about those pesky brown people trying to reach our shores safely or banging on about pc woke lefties. A real chuckle Hmm

Oh look another hyperbolic reply, from the virtious. 🙄

I have no idea what you mean. That was a different conversation. Just get back to your 'chuckles' in the Daily Fail......

AL257 · 15/12/2022 18:05

What lies has she genuinely told? God the way some people are so desperate to hate her is insane. Their are already 10 different threads open which you can use to shit on her why start another ?

What baffles me is, people automatically call her a liar but don't for one minute question any of the other royal family members?? And also don't question how the Queen spent millions to keep Andrew 'safe' from the things he got up to, if they wanna hate somebody they should hate Andrew,
But I don't understand the hate towards Meghan. It's disgusting. It's easier for people to say she's a liar than to accept that the things she has said may be true

Ohnonevermind · 16/12/2022 12:59

This has been my only name, I’ve not name changed.

I don’t have premium, and I’m not getting it, just to prove to you what YOU posted (if the thread wasn’t deleted) , just own it and move on, because I’m just bored having to post everytime you say you don’t comment on relationships and now you don’t do rumours, like some moral arbiter

i’m pretty consistent on my opinions of lies and liars,

Its called forming a blanced view from all angles, but then again you would not know would you. As long as your sources of information are all confirmation bias and your never challanged youll never be wrong. 😂

JadeSeahorse · 16/12/2022 13:01

Well this is pretty typical of an outsider's opinion when someone stands up and breaks away from a highly toxic family.

I went completely NC with mine finally 30 plus years ago following 30 years of abject misery and torture that I had pretty much kept to myself. From the outside we looked like an archetypical good family.
Believe me, dreadful things occur behind the prettiest of curtains!

Guess who was the bad guy, appalling daughter, had a ridiculous imagination etc. ? 😥😡

I saw signs in Harry - always have - that he has suffered and well before he met Meghan. Can't explain but when you have endured similar you just know.

Meghan gave Harry the strength to break away just as my DH did with me.

Brefugee · 16/12/2022 13:02

I'm a republican so i want to see the back of all of them.

But. I would like to see concrete examples of these lies. Thank you.

Roussette · 16/12/2022 13:02

ohno Stop trying to admonish me for something you don't like, you're not a moderator or the police, it's pathetic!! Get back to your rumours.

By the way, I wasn't saying you had NC'd. It was the OP who said she had.

rumship · 16/12/2022 13:03

How do you know, are we not allowed to have views on more than one subject. Just because we are not discussing seperate subjects in this tread or today does not mean we do not look into or evaluate them.

So sorry your the one thats baffleing me. 🙄

Why where have I stated that I restrict the sources of my opinions and dont read a range of source material. Come on give me the proof?

Let me guess this is your truth 😚

Roussette · 16/12/2022 13:08

"Forming a balanced view from all angles" says you... by reading the DailyFail. Ok got you!

I read all sorts of articles by the way but draw the line at that toxic rag.

warofthemonstertrucks · 16/12/2022 13:08

I'm sure they are all lying or telling what they believe to be their versions of the truth at least, which differ.

Meghan and Harry do come across as whiny and bit attention seeky. When you look at what they've said it amounts to a family argument and that's it really.

I don't think they had worse press than other royals especially, until they decided to leave. But the frequent moaning and big show biz exposé's are not endearing them to probably half the population, in a nation famous for putting up and shutting up-rightly or wrongly.

Either way im pretty bored of the whole thing and there will be months more of it when the book comes out. It's just dull and that won't help them either as lots of people who were hitherto neutral will like
Me be wishing they'd bore off.

Thefriendlyone · 16/12/2022 13:10

From what I undeestand they had already discussed an interview with Oprah before the wedding, but the palace said no.

Of course they still did it In the end, but at the time of the marriage there were already issues in terms of the direction harry and Meg wanted to go in,and what rhe palace would permit.

harry and Meg wanted the big famous thing, doing celeb interviews, being very A list /Hollywood etc they were even going to be selling merchandise with their images just for profit, and the queen said no , it was about duty, not fame and money

I think that’s where harry was coming from in the whole Meghan would revolutionise it , throw out the stuffy ways, the royal family just thought Hollywood, and that they were jealous etc, he thinks that’s why they said no to their jet set celeb plans.

Obviously it wasn’t, but they wanted to go all super glitzy celeb and the queen said absolutely not

they then tried to make a dash for it, issued the statement saying they’d collaborate with the queen and do this half and half thing, thinking she’d accept it as job done, as they’d announced it, and of course, did she fuck , she put an immediate stop to it.

Ohnonevermind · 16/12/2022 13:10

i read the Washington post and NYT and economist but sometimes balance that on certain issues by having a look at the horrible fox.

Sometimes the truth lies in between (but never on the fox side🤣)

i trust the WP and NYT but I still check

Oh so yet again the trend continues, you cannot back up what you say as always, as with your interations with many other posters. Your good at throwing around aspersions but not backing them up. 🤔

Roussette · 16/12/2022 13:12

I have no idea what you're talking about or what I should back up. Just jump on the nearest bandwagon why don't you.
Sorry but your posts make little sense. I suggest you make a nice cuppa and get back to your 'chuckles.'

I specifically asked you to prove a point earlier yet your avoiding what I asked, you seem to do this alot.

HappinesDependsOnYou · 16/12/2022 13:28

Can't say I am a fan of either or the royal family but your argument is so weak. You say they lie but you have posted 1 "example" that is actually your opinion and not proven true or false. Their privacy could be that they wanted to be able to attend a baby shower without getting slagged off, to send their children to a school of their choosing without having to announce it with a beginning of year school photo or to allow her mum to put the rubbish out without being photographed. Celebrities do not have privacy like you and I but they have more then royals. Who says they wernt looking for celebrity style lives instead of their gilded cages? I don't believe they are entirely truthful since the comment about their wedding date but at least present examples of their lies rather than opinions if you brand them as having told lie after lie

And you seem to follow posters around asking them to prove something that you have thrown out as an insult to them in the first place. It appears to be your MO.

I'm not answering you any more, but do feel free to call me names and do a ner-ner-ner-ner-ner type post, I'm used to it.

Awww sorry may be you should go to Netflix and do your own pity party docuseries. Again casting aspersions with out fact, oh well Ill let you carry on your fact free crusade.

Care to back that up with proof "Sunshine" 😂

No need when your emojis do the job for me.

yesitssea · 17/12/2022 00:08

To me, they don't make massive claims. They flirt around the truth and bend it to make the described situation as flattering to themselves, sometimes telling the same stories more than once with glaring differences.

One being how they met- in the engagement interview it was said to be a blind date.

In the documentary they said it was via instagram.

She said she paid her way through school.
Her dad paid for her uni fees. He showed the receipts on an interview.

She said the archbishop married them in their back garden. He wasn't even in London (his schedule is public)

It's the inference and over exaggerated rather than direct claims that makes it irritating. There's a lot of 'they said this' or 'they said that' 'it was them' but no concrete accusations.

The archie skin colour thing. She said it was when she was pregnant (Harry was not on set) then when Harry came on set Oprah asked him. He said it was when it was when they were first dating. I suspect the comment is true but I also suspect she said it was when she was pregnant to raise the stakes.

This is what I mean when I say I don't find it to be out and out lies but fibs and truth embellishment. And that feeds into the disingenuousness.

Agree with this. The other side do not get to tell their side of the story , it’s all insinuation and painting themselves as victims perpetually. I find it quite malicious and repugnant. Not once do they admit culpability or express any insight into themselves. It’s just blame, anger, aggrievement and self righteousness.
The reading of the speech at the wedding in the last part was cringeworthy. Especially as it was all in calligraphy. Even Harry looked embarrassed.
