Meghan & Harry Were Lying From The Start, Weren't They?

As per the thread title.

Right from the word go, Meghan and Harry were not telling the truth. About anything.

Now the Netflix series has come out it just proves it, over and over again.

It was well known broadcaster Danny Baker. I don't believe that he didn't know Meghan was mixed race. It was after the wedding. There were 3 more senior children before Archie and there were no jokes about them

.....and I didn't believe him, the comedian, and I can't quite remember his name and please don't remind me of it as his name doesn't deserve to be uttered, or written.

He did quite a lot of tweets where he used dressed up monkeys to lampoon posh people. It was a meme he did. Only up to then the posh people were all white. Some of his defence didn’t make sense, but I think not knowing Meghan & Archie were mixed race is totally believable. Not everybody is switched on to royal news.

It was published in the Daily Mail which has a huge British readership sadly

The whole article was not just about Compton or tea... all of it, and it was long, was far worse than that.

I don't care that it was written by an American. I care that it was published in a widely read British newspaper.

Are you having a laugh? Seriously? He is the only one who didn't appear to know Meghan was bi-racial, it was written about a lot. He was a DJ, worked in print journalism, was on HIGNFY a lot, radio shows. Of COURSE he knew. That is a very poor excuse of him, honestly it is. And it's the first time I have seen anyone try to pretend Danny Baker didn't know.

@SparklingBubbly correction, Ruth Styles is British. And worked in England for a long time before doing the LA gig.

It wasn’t published in a British newspaper. It was on DailyMail.com. That’s the US version of MailOnline, which is visible thru DailyMail.co.uk but separate editors.

Lots of people didn’t know, I didn’t know till quite recently. I wasn’t interested in the RF then. Do you have any evidence he was lying?

@Roussette it's pointless to argue. Any visible/tangible negativity(racism) is ignored and excused with the flimsiest of excuses and extreme mental gymnastics because it ruins the narrative.

There's a lot of evidence of it.

Danny Baker knew exactly what he was doing but thought he would get away with blatant racism as it was toxic at the time.

That article is the same one referenced in the DB article I just shared. Like I said, whether he deserves to be pilloried online for it 5 years and counting… people will make up their own minds. The Vox article relies on the same 4 pieces of evidence already shared in this thread, which when contextualised and added up, aren’t very convincing. The reason you keep seeing the same 4 bad examples again and again, is because they are the only 4 examples that exist.

To some people they are enough along with the downplaying of the police officers who.were arrested for racist tweets shared amongst police officers and the two men that went to prison for wanting.Archie. The press aren't stupid and they know they can't be downright racist.

I am really amused at the defence of Danny Baker not knowing.

How can I... a boring old woman who lives in the middle of nowhere know that Meghan was bi-racial but a man who works in and on television, radio, shows like HIGNFY, podcasts... not know. Unbelievable.
