Meghan & Harry Were Lying From The Start, Weren't They?

As per the thread title.

Right from the word go, Meghan and Harry were not telling the truth. About anything.

Now the Netflix series has come out it just proves it, over and over again.

There are loads of little bits of half truths and untruths none of which are important its silly things like

They got married before
There was a "fire" (implications seem to be a big fire)
No-one prepared her for royal protocols
They didn't know how to get mental health support
Harry didn't have any support
How they met

Most of which was refuted by witnesses and in some cases their OWN WORDS

But it's petty nonsense nothing really to get worked up about they come across as immature and childlike and like children they only want to show themselves favorably

Things I DO believe
She genuinely thought the rules didn't apply to her
He didn't prepare her enough on a personal level
She was met with resistance from traditionalists
He tried to bully his way through because he has lost girlfriend's before and threw tantrums to get his own way which caused conflict with his family

I had sympathy for them its waning now

Just think - for a minute... that potentially the palace did not support Meghan when the press were being really horrrible to her. If this was a sister in law of yours that was being vilified in the media. Would you step in if you had the power to do do (which I believe the RF had) or would you feed her to the wolves....

She was not protected. Let's be honest and that is discraceful.

@Roussette people are coming down do hard on her and forget she is a human.... she's got flaws like the rest of us but has suffered so much horrrible press which is so disproportionate.

Can we please remember this is a human who has feelings like the rest of us!? When I read these threads I'm stunned at how people dehumanise her and it's cruel.

The palace did support them when the press were being difficult though. Jason Knauff details what was done and when in his court submission.

Totally agree and this is what I wrote on another thread. I don't care that I'm repeating it. It's what I think, and that's what forums are for... opinions.

They have been dehumanised because some people need someone to rant against and hate. Their lives aren't complete unless there is a person to do this to to make themselves feel better. Someone, they can wake up, look up what they're doing and post about them endlessly... picking their lives apart, every facial expression pounced upon, every outfit they wear scrutinised, everything they write twisted and manipulated to get others agree with you about how disgusting they are. And when you run out of current fodder, just regurgitate wedding 3 days ago, the time she smiled in church, Nelson Mandela, holding her baby bump, and letter to her Dad. On and on and on.

And for what? That rush of adrenalin when you think of a new name or insult to call him or her. You feel very pleased with yourself but time doesn't stop because it's then on to the next insult or way to dehumanise them. The nicknames of them, the endless ways to call Harry thick, and her scheming, nasty, a two bit actress, a fake, a destroyer.

I cannot understand people, there has never been such hate that I have known. And let's not drag Fergie, Camilla and Kate into this as equal. This is way way beyond what they went through. It's been since the engagement. Five years now. No point in disputing that, there are threads on here back in 2017 to prove it. I can link if you don't believe me.

Not everyone has been like this but there are a core of posters on here who never gave her a chance and there are posters whose dislike of her has built over the years and they have been recruited into this with a vengeance.
I find it worrying and sad.

These are not heroes that I want my children to emulate, self serving, self-focused, self aggrandising people who use good deeds as photo ops.

these are not the people I want my 13 year old to want to emulate. I don’t want her to emulate Kate either though.

Well considering they have a Netflix documentary and eleventy million threads on MN that’s patently untrue.

I find it ironic that most of their ‘fame’ is likely driven by those who hate them consuming documentaries and books then starting bile-filled threads like this to say how much they wish they’d stop making documentaries and books.

I’m no MM fan whatsoever but Clarkson needs to be done away with after his comments on her, as a female those comments made me very upset to my core.

It was the lies in the Oprah Winfrey interview that made me change my opinion.

Until then, I thought she was a lovely, charismatic woman. I thought he was nice but a bit thick.

His interviews the past few weeks have only cemented my feeling that they are fibbing on an industrial scale.

The only thing I think I've maybe shifted on is that they have such a warped lens that they are viewing events through that they genuinely believe some of the things they say, even though they can be proved false.

Agree. They are paranoid and assume all the negative stories are planted by journalists. It is the same old desperation which she is clinging to of being recognised as a Grace Kelly princess-heroine.

There was no negative press about her day with the queen.

He seems totally arrogant, like he thinks he should be beyond reproach.

He’s got a weird thing going on as well, where he actually blames the press for his own actions.

He’s saying about his behaviour when he was younger, not that he was a sentient being with his own responsibility for his own actions, but that the press had ‘created’ a role for him, and there was nothing else he could possibly do other than fit that role. The press had decided he was the human shield for William, therefore that’s why he had to take drugs, have scraps with photographs and make racial slurs on camera
