Will Harry and William ever repair their falling out

Sadly, it just seems to be getting worse. I don’t really care or take any notice of relationships in the celebrity or world or the relationships of public figures, but I do find it quite sad that there are two brothers who were probably very close at one point and brought closer together by the premature death of their mother at a young age and are now so distant from each other, and I don’t just mean geographically.

I can’t see Harry and William ever making amends, what with all this Netflix stuff, the Oprah stuff and his new book.

It just seems a bit sad!

Surely if they are paid for by the public then we are basically their employer and they should adhere to what the employer wants

go on - tell me what “we” wanted back then.
anyone with any sense wanted them to stay up in Balmoral, where the boys could have privacy.

I think Harry & Meghan have diametrically opposed views about fame that will become more difficult to reconcile as time goes on.

Meghan wants to be famous & wants a public role to champion causes. She wants the status and celebrity that goes with all of that. Harry doesn't. I wonder if love will be enough.

I can imagine the anger is well entrenched both sides now but if I saw my brother and his wife being ripped to shreds all the time - I'd like to think that as a sibling, I'd try and make things up. I'd hate to think of my brother / sister facing that sort of thing alone.

Sadly for him, I suspect that Harry will only have a 5 year shelf life with Meghan. When he's outlasted his usefulness to her, she'll move on. Then her next chapter documentry will be about the bitter divorce and how brave Meghan fights against the British establishment.

Where all this hatred comes from? So many people here just can't wait to see M&H fail, divorce, get further isolated, destroyed, humiliated, lose everything they have including their sanity. Why??? What have they done which is so wrong, and how on earth it matters so deeply to so many of you to the point which you feel entitled to barrage them with criticism and abuse? Some of the comments here are disturbing.

Mumsnet, this thread (and likely others on this topic) border hatred speech. Please consider your response.

I really hope they don’t divorce. I think it could really finish Harry off , his mental health, by his own admission is not strong and divorce could really break him, especially if it meant losing his dc. Surely even his strongest critics wouldn’t wish that on him.

I hope his therapist is ongoing. I've had therapy and things hurt less after therapy. He still feels so hurt. Although this was all filmed between 6 months and a year ago. I feel meghan would leave him for somebody with more power in America.

they aren't alone - they have each other, and clearly that is what they want. Neither particularly value family connection outside their own "family unit".

Meghan and Harry have ripped the RF - particular, William, Kate and Charles - to threads in their PR series- so do you think they (M&H) will try and make it up with his family?

I think most of the posters on here still can't get past the fact that Harry has left his role and started a new life. How many of us would spend all our life's playing second fiddle to our brother and sister in law. The only thing Harry and Megan need to do is get past all this hate and look forward. At the end of the day they aren't living off the tax payers anymore unlike the rest of the royal family.

I'd hate to be in the royal family. It would be stultifyingly dull touring the country, smiling sweetly and saying nothing of any consequence. I'd have left (as gracefully as possible) at the first opportunity.

What I wouldn't have done is then badmouth my family to the press. I can't imagine being so bitter as to do that. I also wouldn't have gone on a pity me rant to Tom Bradbury after having visited victims of sexual assault in SA. It was a dreadful error of judgment.

I watched Suits when it first came out and liked her. I changed my mind from her engagement interview onwards as it's all been about feeding her ego and her feelings. She's relished throwing the RF under a bus and that's why I no longer like her. Harry is just as bad, after all it's his family they're attacking.

M will get the ick. H will succomb to a different addiction. M will take the moral highground and respectfully & consciously uncouple.

M becomes movie/TV mogul or POTUS.

H becomes a therapist & TV talking head specialising in toxic relationships. He could do much good in that field.

Have you met her.? Are you a family member or a friend.? If not that's a very big assumption on a person you don't know, and very unkind. Why do People spout hatred on the internet..? I don't understand it.? Is it a reflection of who you are in real life.? Do you go about life hating people you meet and being horrible to them.

We only have evidence of one brother and 1 SIL backstabbing their family and it's not William or Kate.

It's the Queen people wanted to see. Not the boys. Charles was at Balmoral with them. She didn't need to be there 24/7.
