Last thread has filled up so I thought I'd create another to chat trailers and teasers while we hang about waiting for better more truth bombs to drop in the main event.

Not mentioning Andrew is more about protecting Meghan and keeping the stories about her racy past hidden from their adoring fans. There is a LOT that the demonized media could print but aren't printing. I'm sure Haitch and Meghan know that they are really not that bad for keeping it quiet. But it is the usual thing, goad those who will not answer back.

Ohnonevermind · 15/12/2022 13:08

The plane comment is just delusional

the only thing is they are now laughing stocks (like when Obama roasted trump) and I hope they don’t lash out)

MoirasSaggyBundles · 15/12/2022 13:09

Meghan has a racy past? Why do I not know any of this stuff??!!

Allegedly.

But there's no proof and it's just speculation and rumour.

You can move on with your life and still discuss your past. He seems to be living his life. So weird that people want this shut down and the RF protected. I think he should talk as much as he wants to. People can turn off if they don’t want to hear.

I’ve had awful abuse in my past from my parents and sibling. I’ve had therapy and I’ve dealt with it. I’m in a good place, living my life, have lovely friends and some family, but I still talk about my past when I want to. It’s my life to talk about just as it’s Harry’s. Good for him.

To the press? For funds. Would you?

I've been through serious trauma. I could write one of those misery life-story books that sell on Amazon kindle for a decent profit, yet somehow monetising it doesn't appeal. Mostly because beside intimate friends, I'm not up for sharing the horrible details of my trauma with the entire world.

What racy past? That is sounding very 1950s

ArcaneWireless · 15/12/2022 13:13

If only someone had made them watch the Bros documentary first…

They are now figures of fun instead of figureheads.

Everyone is different. I certainly made sure that everyone who thought my father was a nice man, got to know the truth. I’d have done whatever I had to do to let everyone know that. I found it very healing. A bonus if I could have made some cash from it. Neither of us are wrong, just different. Good for Harry.

Oh, there us proof. Whether you will get to see it is for the media to decide.

They never said it was a slum.

I compare it to the other residences of members of the RF. Very different. I'm seeing the footage in Ep1 now. It's really quite ordinary.

I expect to get attacked for this comment but I liken it to Andrew and his ex living on a massive Estate (30 rooms, 98 acres)

Good enough for William and Catherine (and George) till KP was ready.

Rinoachicken · 15/12/2022 13:16

This was posted on another thread. Hope the poster doesn’t mind me reposting it here but I think it’s an interesting take:

”I actually think harry might be really struggling. He is clearly in his head comparing his wife to his mother, and reliving it. The paparazzi, the chasing, the popularity.

there are huge contradictions in what they say, one minute they needed to leave due to racism, hatred and abuse, the next it’s because Meghan is so popular with the British public the royal family can’t take it, so were briefing against her. The latter is a narrative we know all too well

he tells us repeatedly he was scared history would repeat itself, there was an odd clip about them being scared in the car due to a pap biker following, now he is going on about the palace briefing against him, which is what Diana said and he’s also now saying it’s because Meghan was a rock star to the British public,, put performing Charles, he tells us how Meghan is just like his mother, with her warmth and caring etc

i don’t know but I’m starting to think this isn’t quite what it seems, that he is deeply struggling and is reliving his child hood trauma,

I agree, he seems to be conflating Meghan and Diana and know wants to save Meghan to redeem the poor 12-year old who couldn't save his mum. He needs more support than a Netflix tell-all can provide.”

MarshaMelrose · 15/12/2022 13:16

@FancyFran

I watched the lot and I haven't changed my mind from last week but I do think Meghan will have changed the Royal family as Diana did.
If the Royal household didn't do any on boarding they have a lot to answer for.

But she was offered help and guidance when she first started. The Queen offered her Sophies services to show her the ropes. She told Sophie she didn't need her help because she had Harry.

Ed Lane Fox, Harry's private secretary, prepared a 30 point document for her on everything she would be faced with eg, walkabouts, fashion, protocols. With contact names and numbers of who to call for for advice or if she had questions. And she did contact people from the list.

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 15/12/2022 13:18

Does a 'racy' past matter these days? I get being an escort or porn star might be a step too far but racy can mean anything.

I can remember the shock horror about Princess Grace of Monaco decades ago because she apparently liked sex and wasn't a virgin when she married Albert. I think those days are gone.

DewinDwl · 15/12/2022 13:18

The BBC coverage online where they are watching and commenting is hilariously brutal, it's like a spoof documentary commentary.

I have been reading it and found the tone incredibly inappropriate TBH. Baffled that it has come from the BBC.

OhmygodDont · 15/12/2022 13:19

Is racy code for 🛥️

CoffeeBoy · 15/12/2022 13:20

So I’m currently watching the 4th episode. Harry complains that Meghan was criticised in the media for wearing an off the shoulder dress where Kate wore a similar dress and wasn’t criticised. He laughs and says if you can’t see what was going on then he can’t help you. However he doesn’t make it clear the headline “criticising” Meghan was say8ng she wore an off the shoulder dress to Trooping the Colour. That was literally the headline. I have no idea what the article says, don’t know if it said it was inappropriate or whether the article actually wasn’t critical. But even if it was surely that’s the difference. Kate was wearing the dress to an evening function.

i mean I couldn’t give a shit about wearing an off the shoulder dress to trooping the colour and I have no idea if it breaks protocol or not but I can recognise there’s a difference between that and an evening function.

'So is that it then? No affairs, no Andrew, no tights? Come on Harry, what did Wills text you (or were you showing M that you'd passed another level on Candy crush?'

6 hours of allegations! but not one fact or teensy bit of proof to back up their gripes.

It's funny I don't get why no one at Netlfix said 'oh yes that sounds absolutely horrid..but where's the receipts? Let's see the incriminating emails'. Why did that lawyer say she'd seen evidence but didn't produce any? Not a lawyer very good at her job it would seem.

This is about establishing a narrative of "ego they are" to the American market

There is also the bit of oh here is Harry feeding the baby and here is Harry and Meghan bathing the baby. Oh how special they are for doing this. Narrative is: "we are hands on parents hint hint not everybody is" They need to get a grip, they are living in a bubble and have no idea what is to go above and beyond what ordinary people do.

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 15/12/2022 13:23

I think it's quite restrained, the odd quip but generally allowing the batshittery to speak for itself.

Roussette · 15/12/2022 12:43

Lovely to see Ashleigh has reconnected with them and was there for Christmas.

Why do we think she lost connection with them for 4-5 years?

Did she fall out with or was hurt by MM after not getting an invite to the wedding?

The outline of their very close relationship was refreshing new info in the earlier episodes but it seemed a shame that she was excluded from the wedding and their lives subsequently but was happy to reconnect and front up the doc for them?

Rhondaa · 15/12/2022 13:23

'I agree, he seems to be conflating Meghan and Diana and know wants to save Meghan to redeem the poor 12-year old who couldn't save his mum. He needs more support than a Netflix tell-all can provide'

Yes and it is all so very sad and quite disturbing. Why isn't anyone helping him, why are they feeding his paranoia?

tara66 · 15/12/2022 13:24

Will Netflix be providing them with top security for the rest of their lives following this treason - or will they have to pay for it themselves? Though I guess 'treason' does not apply to MM if she never became British).

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 15/12/2022 12:33

If A's two brothers and sister have not said a word why should his nephew speak out.

Because they never complain never explain. H's clearly not confined by that rule so he CAN speak out.

Andrew's daughters are his biggest allies in the RF aren't they? If they are he isn't likely to attack their dad is he.

bakalava · 15/12/2022 13:27

Poor Haitch. He is being handled by strong vultures in many directions. I wish he had found that aristo girl instead and settled down in a country pile. If he had got the right therapy at the right time, he would have valued himself more but he was taken advantage of because of his low self-esteem and sheltered life.
