Harry and Meghan - lies?

1000 replies

FurAndFeathers · 28/10/2022 19:51

Ok I’m keeping my fingers crossed this thread will not descend into an unsubstantiated bun fight! Please bear with me.

I’m definitely no Royalist, and am pretty ambivalent about H and M but from the little I’ve read they seem to have been treated pretty badly. However I keep seeing on other threads here that their claims have all be proven to be lies, which would make me much less sympathetic to them. But I can’t find any verification for this.

So I’m asking more knowledgeable posters - what lies specifically have H&M told and where’s the evidence to the contrary please?

thank you

@FurAndFeathers Still ignoring US media then? 😂

I haven’t seen any links to headlines/racist news reports towards Meghan in the USA media. Happy to concede this happens if you can link them please?

I have already posted you multiple headlines.

Serenster · 23/12/2022 13:45

Yes that’s a good example. How many examples of the avian in the British media do you need before you acknowledge that Meghan experienced racism in the British media?

what ‘counts’?

So, there is one example. I’m gathering from your refusal to add others that you don’t have any.

As you yourself said, “one example from several years ago that doesn’t represent a sustained campaign amongst mainstream media”.

I haven’t refused to add others. I don’t see how it answers my question though so it’s irrelevant

it would be great if posters could make their points and answer straightforward questions without the whataboutery -
it would certainly be more compelling if you’re trying to prove a point that the USA media is more racist to Meghan than the British media

And did you deliberately miss the part where one is a self report of a lived experience and the other is a national newspaper headline? Thus only one represents an example of racism by the press (hint it’s not the USA example)

@FurAndFeathers What aboutery at its finest 😬

well I think that’s answered my very straightforward question then!

it seems that denigrating Meghan and Harry for moving to the USA to escape racism in the British press is yet another groundless attack, as the assertion that the US press is just as racist as the UK press has no basis, at least not where they’re concerned, and not in any way that anyone can evidence.

OP posts:
rumship · 23/12/2022 14:33

Well thats your one sided take on it yet again and there me that thought the only reason they went to the US was to sell their pre-planned sob story`s and footage they have been collecting from before they were even married to merch themselfs for cash on the back of the royal family in the US.

Meghan the griofter never once wanted to stay in the UK as far as im concerned. She`s a gold digging grifter, if you belive she came all the way to the UK to marry a known rasist, she did not even know then you must be very naive. 😂

The mere act of saying something doesn't make it true.

People have given you evidence, you're just ignoring it.

sorry have I missed a link @susan12345678 ?

which post contained the evidence of the US press making racist attacks on Meghan in a way that was worse than the UK press please?

It depends? If by discussion you mean incoherent skewing of bile and unfounded allegations then yep, that’s not my bag.

if you’re able to have a nuanced, evidence-based discussion based in reality rather than personal vindictiveness for two people you’ve never met and have no bearing on your life then sure, I’m up for that!

@FurAndFeathers You ask for evidence from people knowing full well you are going to deny the evidence given to you.

Maybe turn it on it's head and ask you to clarify Harry and Meghans constant referrals to 'they' did this, said that etc? So far all we have had from them is unsubstantiated allegations against people who can't fight back. Like that's a fair fight?

Apart from Compton/exotic blood/speculation about any offspring's skin colour, there's not much in the newspapers or from the RF. so the whole case seems to rest on a tiny bit of negative press. Social media, totally is the Wild West, but every man and their dog has been hammered on SM. H&M no exception and who the hell can control a bunch of SM morons?

MM is an arch manipulator of speech but unfortunate has a poor memory. If you lie you need a good one. She said on OW there were questions asked about Archie's skin colour. Well as he hadn't been conceived at the time, that can hardly be true? To name Archie is to personalise the insult and make it more powerful. I think it was wrong to bring this up at any time, but as the circumstances are unknown we don't know if it was malicious or a clumsy joke.

We have the ridiculous curtsy which she didn't know about.. despite Harry and her being a couple for a year and her having personal guidance from palace officials. Naughty Harry for not helping your DW. Also having seen her do one on Suits, mmm she apparently did know you don't do an exaggerated bow.

Married 3 days before the actually ceremony. Not a blessing, but an actual marriage ceremony!
Never heard the n word growing up in America until her mother was insulted. Really? She didn't know what the n word meant as a young woman. Lived in a cardboard box?
Didn't know anything about Harry. Didn't google him? Really?
Met on a date arranged by a mutual friend? Oh no, now it's Harry fell for Instagram Meghan with a dogs face. Like that's something everyone does?
Proposal was over a chicken dinner... which was hastily changed to a candlelit garden.
The s African actor who wasn't present telling her about his countrymen dancing in the streets because she is a Mandela like figure. Omg delusions of grandeur.
Single handedly changed advertising in America, when it was a class effort with her centre stage because her dad pulled strings. I think she believes her own sense of grandiosity and believes she will gain worldwide approval as a pioneering, feminist, eco leader. Flying by private jets to all engagements. Oh did I mention, she's also a hypocrite?
I could go on and on, but you won't listen.

Harry's no better. A pathetic excuse for a man child. My dislike for him is just as strong, and he is just as much a liar. What I find more distasteful than anything is he knows his family can't fight back.

purpledalmation · 23/12/2022 15:58

She almost faced prison for perjury. But of course that's doesn't count.

Aspiringmatriarch · 23/12/2022 15:58

@Rumship the word is racist. Not rasist. If you're going to spend so much energy on posting about something, maybe do a little spell check too.

Is that best you can come up, spell it however you like I call it bollocks 😂.

@Aspiringmatriarch you should really focus on the subject rather than petty crap directed towards some one with dyslexia, but then again that just reflects the sort of person you are.

@Aspiringmatriarch

The poster has explained she has dyslexia but that doesn’t stop you using it to stick the boot in.

Shame on you.

Ohnonevermind · 23/12/2022 16:20

You understood her words, which is the important thing, but you thought you’d engage in petty behaviour

my son is dyslexic and luckily the world has moved beyond small minded people like you.

Aspiringmatriarch · 23/12/2022 16:35

How funny that two of the most virulent hate-posters are suddenly oh-so-offended. But I bet you think everyone else is a PC snowflake, don't you?
As I said, if I was going to make multiple posts pouring scorn on someone's experience of racism, I'd probably run it through a spell check myself.

Where have I denied any evidence?

I find it fascinating that you actively choose to spend your time recording the minutiae of the life of someone you dislike so much! I honestly couldn’t be arsed 😁

right so if we just discount this very obvious racism and ignore the racism more generally (Princess Michael’s broach, Prince Philip’s comments overseas, the palace’s hiring practices, the comments the other week towards a black woman at the palace)

then sure, we can definitely say there’s no evidence of racism in the RF.

as long as we ignore all the evidence 🙄

@Aspiringmatriarch

i’d educate myself before telling someone with dyslexia to just ‘try harder’, and then flinging few insults, to try to justify your behaviour (it doesn’t)
