Harry and Meghan - lies?

Ok I’m keeping my fingers crossed this thread will not descend into an unsubstantiated bun fight! Please bear with me.

I’m definitely no Royalist, and am pretty ambivalent about H and M but from the little I’ve read they seem to have been treated pretty badly. However I keep seeing on other threads here that their claims have all be proven to be lies, which would make me much less sympathetic to them. But I can’t find any verification for this.

So I’m asking more knowledgeable posters - what lies specifically have H&M told and where’s the evidence to the contrary please?

You might not like my opinion and you can label it wrong but there is no getting away from the fact that there was no SM and no MN and so pics of Kate would not generate the same outcry as pics released now of MM as a teen or young person.
You have strong opinions too. They're just different to my strong opinions and you can't scold me for being incorrect, as I can't you.

If someone released a bunch of pics of Kate as a teen or young person now, I would similarly condemn that action as I have on Meghan's pics sold to the DM.
It's wrong. And I doubt there would be posts about someone "copping a feel" of happy shots of Kate

so you would condemn pictures of Kate as a teen but you post links to stories of her mooning people. I’m confused about how you differentiate between the two, perhaps you could explain. Could they both not be equally hurtful

At the weekend, my OH sails with a man who attended Marlborough at the same time as Kate and was in her year group. He said that he has never heard anything about it and the spreading of the rumour must be jolly japes (hopefully nothing more sinister). If she did it every day for half a year then she would have become notorious.

What a dull life. I remember my sister mooning with her friends when a teenager. We have all been to parties. We have all got drunk and done silly things. Why should the Royals be any different? Kate wasn’t born a Royal. She was a normal girl from an upper middle class background.

Exactly. The other point is that people keep saying how dull Kate is. You can't have it both ways. I don't understand what's so wrong with the Meghan pictures are either.

Just been reading some tripe about MM . She is wittering on about how hard it is to organise her family, getting the lunchbox ready for Archie to go to school. He is 3!! How can he be at school at 3? A lot of stuff about how terribly difficult it all is and how busy their household is. She has staff! A nanny! She doesn't work and her husband doesn't work. Honest to God.

I also was a bit surprised about her saying that Harry didn’t know the answers to the U.K. residency questions! A bit unkind to suggest he isn’t clever which we all know but you don’t expect your spouse too announce it to the world!

Kids can go to preschool at aged 3 in the US if the parents so wish and can afford it. It is for socialization and beginning learning skills.

Prince George started school on September 7, 2017. He turned 4 in July and started school in September.

Charlotte started school September 2019, was born May 2015. So just months past her 4th birthday as well.

My own kids went to preschool starting when they were 3 and I was a stay at home mom.

Can you please find something else to bitch about and not mom shame? Being a working mom is difficult, and yes she works. Being a mom to toddlers is difficult, the toughest job you'll ever love. The house is crazy busy and always moving and you drop into the couch at night after getting the kids to bed.

Meghan was photographed carrying Archie from “ school” when she was pregnant with Lilibet so he was 2 at the most .

I don’t think their life is in any way comparable to that of a normal family without staff and nannies. Nursery is not school. She doesn’t work in any real sense and neither does Harry.

In the US, there is no such thing as nursery. It is pre-school or day care.

In preschool they are learning. Numbers, colors, letters, even how to take care of themselves.

Stop projecting your UK life onto a family living in the US.

And she is a hands on mom, even if she does have staff. She wouldn't be packing lunches and carrying Archie while pregant if she wasn't.

How do you know what she does? How? Do you know what a typical day is like for her?

Quite - she could be lying on a chaise all day with martinis on tap and never have changed a nappy diaper in her life. None of us know ....

My dh had to take that test. Some of the questions are a bit WTF but they are not intellectually taxing. Dh did say he learned a bit about the U.K. from doing it. Only the other day he was just talking about the War of the Roses and having to know about it for the test. Harry should surely know about that.

Meghan has had a lot of people who she was formerly close to, but who she ghosted completely or dropped as she became more and more famous, speak up to say so, though, you are right. It might give her cause to reflect on the way she has treated people on her way up, and why that treatment hasn’t engendered loyalty. I can’t imagine she’s bothered, though!

or it could be that Meghan wasn’t all that good at picking loyal, honest friends. Given her Dad and sisters behaviour I wouldn’t be at all surprised. It’s pretty common that if you have a toxic parent you will repeat this by surrounding yourself with people who have similar traits to that parent.

Perhaps it’s that Meghan became aware of this and divested herself of ‘friends’ who were like that.

Its very likely she has good friends that we are never going to hear from because they are good people who wouldn’t betray a friend. She learned how to choose new friends more wisely.
