I work in IT within financial services, and I’ll be expecting a change freeze to be put in place. The banking system will be looking to keep their systems as stable as possible.

In what way? Sorry, I'm not saying that it won't be a profound shock for the UK, but things like the credit crunch, the EU referendum, general elections, wars impact the stock market far more. I know it's an awful moment with the new PM only in office for two days. but we're still a stable parliamentary democracy, we have an established line of succession, it's hardly going to cause panic and pandemonium.
