People think harry is going to see the light and leave her and start again but I see a lot of my parents marriage in them.

My mother needs her rosy view of herself reflect back to her and luckily she has my father telling her that yes she is right again of course and my father who lost his mother at 7 and has been depressed has strength as one half of a very strong couple (because it's led by my mum). Together they are strong. Even though deep down my mother is very insecure and my father cannot ever be strong on his own, only strong in backing somebody else up.

They've lasted 53 years so far.

To be honest if any royal puts themselves in the media people have the right to comment. I freely admit I don’t like any of them. Yes they do stamp out bad press stories and swap them for other unique articles etc

….but Harry was always a knob and protected by the military and the press after Diana. Naked billiards was just lads fun and boys will be boys action. As was drinking or anything else. Harry was deluded thinking he was equal to William - he never was, he was the spare.
the press allowed the image of cheeky Harry who could do people stuff but they are full of yes men and women and deluded that their voice is intelligent and worth listening to.

They have the best education, best medical care, no financial worries , people to squeeze their toothbrush and people then tell them they have a unique voice to change the world.

Harry has interesting morals, he wants to be someone like his mother or the king and he’s not. Research his a levels as you’ll find a complaint by his art teacher upheld that she did his coursework when he was 18 not him.

I loved Meghan when she came on the scene - she made her own money and had her own views etc and she changed him from messing about with his mates.
I had every respect for her. I think he hustled her up the aisle before she discovered that being a princess in rainy England and not being allowed your own views and being seen as a clothes horse is shit - she’d lived in LA and they wanted to pick and choose a role.

Considering Andrew has £60 million in the bank that Harry inherited off his mum, his grandparents and great gran parents - estimates had her worth £6 million and they whined they couldn’t affford the house. Harry had never paid a bill in his life. It wasn’t he didn’t have any money it was that he didn’t want to spend it. Frogmore he never got a bill it was all paid for. Want it required - fine you tell your secretary or repaint no problem. Meghan will go into politics if she can drum up enough money and support.

I don’t see her as the problem but him. She’s had a dysfunctional
family and thought she had married a family but the royals are as cold as they come and all clambering for position.

I can almost imagine her sitting in her plush chair working on policy or something and him playing candy crush next to her.

@Puzzledandpissedoff and @Farmageddon yep I am sure there is some security somewhere. I would actually hope so. But it is SO low key. Seriously didn’t see any this weekend on Norfolk beach. Kate stripped to her swimsuit and jumped in the sea. No paps to be found.

They did hand out homemade pasta all beautifully packaged by the children around the norfolk estate during lockdown though….

More like the press are keeping a low profile about them.

If they made as many suppositions and speculations, we would all go on about how they are not discreet and quiet.

MM spoke at OW - what? 2yrs ago, and had a vague mention now on the cut. On podcasts, she was talking about her son (ok, at a UK embassy, but quickly changed the subject and further questions off the agenda).

H spoke at OW, Armchair expect, Apple documentary - all on MH month, and MH related. 2yrs ago.

The entwined palm tree story is just nauseating. True I'm not a very romantic person, so that sort of thing just leaves me cold.

Anyway, what's so special about a couple of entwined palm trees? I'm on holiday in Exmoor and there's loads of double trees that have grown out of one base all along every walk I go on. I'll have to get a picture when out on my next time.

It was cringey when in the middle of the interview Meghan tries to co opt the author into some shared racial grievance but Alison shies away from it sharpish.

From whatever I've seen of her public persona, Meghan comes across as very toxic. Or very disingenuous. Neither is a good look.

But some posters here @notanotheroneagain see Meghan only through the lens of race. It's such a crude tool to use to defend someone.

People are getting irritated with Meghan for many reasons. Race is just one of them.

I'm forever trying to step back and see Meghan in a more positive light because I do believe the press manipulate things. But the number of times she is making vague accusations and complaints against the RF (who I do not support as an institution), in a public forum, now just feels like bullying. We get it, she didn't like that they did not want her to do what she wanted to do. She seems like a very needy woman who can't bear that anyone might not see things her way. But this way of handling it, against people who cannot retort, is not portraying her as the victim. Quote the opposite.

If she wants to try and hone her interview skills then go ahead but she really needs to stop re-hashing old hurts.

I hate to tell you but it’s been around 27 years now and people still talk about Princess Diana on Panorama…

Meghan needs to allow the public to have their opinion of her and to detach herself from that public opinion and just 'sit' with it and think about who who she is, get on with that and stop trying to ''subtly'' tell the public out we ought to be perceiving her. It's painful.

At kate and william's engagement interview, the interviewer asked kate how she felt about all the headlines saying she was workshy and she said something along the lines of well, so long as she knows she works hard then she can deal with it.

That's a good mindset. What people think of you? It might be right, it might be wrong but you're not up in the dock in need of a defence, you're just free to let people think what they think and if you're comfortable in your own actions then so much the better.

But meghan doesn't get this and it's so so so painfully obvious that this is her biggest problem in terms of ''likeability'' which if she wants to build a brand, somebody should tell her this.
