As the last thread filled up & there's plenty of discussion of Meghan's interview in The Cut, seems worthwhile starting a new thread!

A read yesterday that a series of media interviews are planned to promote the podcasts. Should be very interesting if The Cut interview is anything to go by!

'Catherine engineered the 2 brothers walking back to the castle but I read that at the reception/ tea afterwards only A spoke to H and he didn’t hand around .'

We have no idea if any of this is true. Too many people see W and H as 'Diana's boys' and are way too invested in their relationship. They are middle aged men now, and I'm sure their relationship has been extremely complex for some time. Siblings become estranged, I have personal experience of this - yes it's sad but it happens and I'm sure there is way more to it than any of us know

Wheresthebeach · 31/08/2022 12:04

It certainly feels like she's drip feeding dirt, or tantalising hints of dirt, about the RF at regular intervals. Presumably it happens when 'numbers are down' on press stories...

Puzzledandpissedoff · 31/08/2022 12:12

Speaking of numbers, does anyone know what the ranking/viewing figures were for the Meghan/Maria podcast? With Serena it raced up the charts but I don't think anyone's mentioned about this one yet?

Also can anyone suggest where a transcript's available? Last time it was on Spotify's own link, but the one published this time round doesn't seems to have gaps

Harry was with William and Kate at the funeral.

From memory, this referred to the time he was isolating at Frogmore, when he could only socialise outdoors.

I've just looked on Spotify, I don't when they update but the new episode isn't showing in the top 200, the ambition one is down to number 8.

LondonWolf · 31/08/2022 12:19

Yes - I’ve posted a few times about how Prince Andrew became the convenient public scapegoat for some very powerful and influential men, which illustrated that although he had the title, and in theory all the money and influence that entails, in practice that was all just illusory. He was the one who couldn’t avoid the public scrutiny as he has no real power and his wealth is chickenfeed compared to theirs. So the rest are still getting away with it all.

I said this to an American FB acquaintance who was expressing performative horror at PA's behaviour and was sneered at for getting my info from QAnon 🤷🏼‍♀️...

CauliflowerCheese30 · 31/08/2022 12:19

I don't know when!! Wish there was an edit button.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 31/08/2022 12:24

Thanks, CauliflowerCheese - I guess maybe it'll appear in the days ahead?

In the meantime is there any chance of a link to where I can find it for myself please? I don't usually listen to podcasts so am not very good with this stuff!!

I hope this works!!

CauliflowerCheese30 · 31/08/2022 12:26

I must admit, I have been listening to more podcasts, I love the true crime ones, but maybe not when I'm supposed to be going to sleep Grin

Ohnonevermind · 31/08/2022 12:34

@CauliflowerCheese30

i love true crime too, ever since I read about Ted Bundy as a child in a readers digest 🤣

i love the real narcos / dictators podcasts too which are great. One of the characters(not in the series) is being made into a film/series starring Sofia Vergagra

CauliflowerCheese30 · 31/08/2022 12:39

I don't remember what got me liking true crime, maybe Jon Benet, I hope the Delphi murders get solved, that one bugs me.

CauliflowerCheese30 · 31/08/2022 12:40

I'll have a look at the real narco ones!!

"Catherine engineered the 2 brothers walking back to the castle but I read that at the reception/ tea afterwards only A spoke to H and he didn’t hand around".

Under Covid protocols at the time, receptions for funerals were not allowed.
Which I know as I also attended a funeral at that time - max 30; no reception

I read that the attendees had tea etc outside

Readinginthesun · 31/08/2022 12:49

From the time :

Following the end of Prince Philip's funeral, the Queen invited 15 members of the Royal Family to Windsor Castle. This move is in line with the Government's regulations on coronavirus. It is not known who, out of the 30 people who attended the funeral, was picked by the sovereign.

Madasahattersteaparty1749 · 31/08/2022 12:55

Oh no just saw that the Queen is to welcome the BJ and the new Prime Minister at Balmoral not BP. The first time in her 70 year reign.

I do hope that Harry will take a brief stop up to see her when they are over in September.

SpinCityBlues · 31/08/2022 12:57

She's not well enough to travel apparently.

@DFOD
'bend yourself out of shape to cover for a random you don’t know and have never met.'

Tell that to the disgraceful Andrew apologists on here

I haven’t seen any. All I’ve seen is people suggesting that it’s a good idea to stick to the facts.

smilesy · 31/08/2022 13:07

The explanation is that taking a decision now provides clarity for planning the new PM's diary and avoids any last-minute changes, in case the Queen faced a recurrence of her mobility problems next week and couldn't travel.

This is the official reason, apparently

Flowerandtrees · 31/08/2022 13:10

Mm seems very hardworking and the podcasts etc would have been a great boost to modernise the RF. at least we would have seen some value for taxpayer spending.
Im not sure, but what does Kate do?

Novella4 · 31/08/2022 13:11

@Blossomtoes

The facts are :
Girls were trafficked
Andrew was close friends with Epstein

This is before we get to the BBC interview and 12 million given to someone he says he'd never met .

Multiple royal engagements. You know the kind of thing MM found so taxing (all 72 of them) and is still suffering from having to do several years later.

Just in case this isn't a joke.....what exactly is hardworking about sitting down talking to her 'close friends' for an hour a week about how difficult her life is, having been paid something like 25 million dollars for the privilege?

As for Kate, I don't know her exact schedule, but I believe it's fairly public, I'm guessing dozens of official engagements a year. What she 'does' is represent the royal family, that is her job.
Just like it was Megans job, until she bunked off, while still wanting the pay and perks.
