I am just interested to see your opinions about the royal family. No judgement. And it can be from any royal family, not just the British one.

OP posts:

The fawning over the regular children who happen to be royal is too much

HinchcliffeandMurgatroyd · 22/08/2022 15:09

Or we could just not bitch about women’s appearance and say Beatrice = Redhead, Eugenie = Brunette?

Isaidnoalready · 22/08/2022 15:09

They don't need us if they were removed tomorrow they have enough money and houses to last several lifetimes the only difference to there day is they could tell everyone to fuck off if they wanted too

So they do it all from the goodness of their heart ?

I'm not a big fan of the queen, to have that many bloody awful children doesn't say much for their parenting

W&K come across as really bloody smug

Diana knew how to work the cameras her advantage

SudocremOnEverything · 22/08/2022 16:18

I find it all quite tedious. I just cannot get myself all worked up about any of it.

given the choice, I’d go for a republic. But they’re so pointless I can see why it seems like to much effort to change.

I think Andrew is dodgy as fuck and is as self serving as the rest of the family he belongs to.

This is the unpopular opinion ...

What I don't understand is why he is called 'peado' and 'nonce' when I've never seen any articles or evidence that he engages in sex with actual
Children 🤷‍♀️

Teenagers ( that's gross yes! ) but not children. As someone else pointed out upthread she would have been legal pretty much everywhere else. I was having sex at 17, not with a 40 plus yo man no but I was having sex at that age.

Whether he knew she was trafficked is a different question but still doesn't make him a peadophile. His brother on the other hand was besties with Sir Jimmy Saville so ... ?

There was an article published by the daily fail which interviewed another of JE's victim who was brought in by VG as she was not only his sex slave but she was required to recruit other young girls for him.

She said that VG texted her saying guess who ive just had sex with!? PA! And, that VG has made a lot of money from this and got a lot more when she and the other other victims got nothing bar a cursory amount due to them not actually being the ones that were suing PA.

It's an unpopular opinion but I don't think he should be called 'nonce' when he isn't a peadophile ? If he is I haven't seen anything that backs that up?

I don't like him, I don't like the whole family much as I think it's a bit of an outdated thing now but that's always perplexed me?

Totally agree with what you say.

Novella4 · 22/08/2022 17:01

@ajandjjmum and @Wagsandclaws

Sounds like you are both trying to downplay Andrews activities.

Do you also think he doesn't need to co operate with the FBI as he promised to do over 1000 days ago.

Or is that something people have 'got wrong' too?

Novella4 · 22/08/2022 17:13

@maddy68
Sorry I you should have been mentioned you in my post before @ajandjjmum and @claws

You think Andrew didn't do much wrong !

Utter disgrace .
Perhaps you could put the FBI right while you are at it

Not downplaying - I think he's an odious man - but the fact is that it has never been suggested that he is interested in children, which is what would make him a paedophile.

And yes - he should co-operate with the FBI. But not doing this doesn't make him a paedophile either. Just makes him even more odious!

jewishmum · 22/08/2022 17:27

Sexual attraction to sexually maturing teens who are not yet adults (ephebophilia). So he's an ephebophile. He should legally if guilty be convicted as a sex offender.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 22/08/2022 17:47

The French had the right idea in 1789 as far as I'm concerned.

Hintofreality · 22/08/2022 17:49

Scrounging inbred paedo sympathisers (apart from Harry, he saw them for what they are and fucked off)

Well that's an intelligent argument.

Pemba · 22/08/2022 18:05

Well I agree, after the Queen pops off, phase them out. They're just very ordinary people, certainly not particularly nice, intelligent or attractive, who have taken advantage of their (god - given!) position to get everything they can. And a lot of people are stupid enough to tug their forelocks to them. And now with Prince Andrew's antics I think the rest of the world can see them for what they are. Certainly nothing for the UK to be proud of.

I do think younger people can see through them though, they are less brainwashed, so the phasing out will probably happen naturally.

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 22/08/2022 18:16

True however.

They need to go and the vast majority of the properties given back to the state and to be made into starter homes for anyone who has never bought a house.

I used to be an arch royalist but no more, they may or may not be ok as people but they’re far too rich and think the public are stupid. Take today for instance, we are told the Cambridges are “moving to a modest 4 bed home in Windsor”. They neglect to mention that they are keeping their Apartment in Kensington Palace and their massive home at Sandringham. So the truth is they are adding an extra home to their family.

limitededitionbarbie · 22/08/2022 18:23

I don't see the point of them anymore.

There have been too many scandals now.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 22/08/2022 18:25

Completely irrelevant in this day and age.

They are self serving, out-of-touch parasites.

pawkins · 22/08/2022 18:25

Cambridge’s houses so far…

KP
Anner Hall
Windsor
Scottish property left to William by QM.

They didn't neglect to mention that they were keeping KP - it was in the statement.

The daft thing is if the RF ceased to be the RF, they have enough personal wealth for them all to live a much happier and free life, like the many other aristocratic families in the country. If I were them I could see the appeal. As it is, there will always be critics (as well as supporters), and people scrutinizing every penny they spend and every move they make.

Tiptoeingthroughthetulips · 22/08/2022 18:29

The whole concept of one very rich, un-elected family being able to (technically) rule over a country is very weird.

However, I think the Queen is a lovely, genuine lady who despite her riches and privilege has had a tough life trying to navigate scandal after scandal. I also suspect MM to be a narcissist.

Novella4 · 22/08/2022 18:35

@ajandjjmum
The question is - why don't they jack it in then ?

And don't trot out the old 'duty' line - even the most gullible royalist won't believe that old lie

The Queen is anything but genuine. A total hands off Mummy, makes laws to suit herself and her tax position, pays millions to keep her dodgy son out of court, doesn't give a shit about the plebs, and is laughing all the way to the bank. No one will know what their net worth is, because their wills are sealed. No scandals allowed there!

I do not respect her at all I'm afraid. She is just another in a long line of greedy leeches. Enough is never enough for them.

FriedasCarLoad · 22/08/2022 18:45

I think the idea that their palaces should be given over to refugees/homeless is just silly posturing.

If we became a Republic, those palaces would be major tourist attractions, bringing in lots of money to (presumably) the taxpayers.

Using that money to help vulnerable people? Great!

It would be more effective, make far more economic sense and do far more good than using these priceless pieces of history for housing.
