Why did Harry and Meghan walk in alone?

I have had a very busy weekend so have only been able to catch snippets of the jubilee weekend events but noticed how Harry and Meghan walked into the service together, seemingly after everybody else, including those sitting in front and behind them?
Why was this? I understand why they didn't walk in with the serving royals but it seemed strange that their entrance stood out so much.

Fair enough, I take back that bit, I don't follow them slavishly so had missed it. Will that do?

Roussette · 08/06/2022 08:54

Do you love everything that everyone wears all the time?

No. I was just gobsmacked you called it 'an ugly grey coat' when - to me - she looked knock out. It just sounded like criticism for the sake of it.
Do you ever think she looks really good? Curious
I love her style actually. There's the odd outfit that does nothing for me, but on balance I like what she wears.

All of those a far right tabloids. Sky News is an Australian media and completely different from UK Sky. Australian Sky is the equivalent of Fox News. They all hate Meghan with a passion.

It seems that once one far right tabloid gets a story, it is syndicated to all of them.

It really proves absolutely NOTHING. Let us know when the BBC, CNN or any real actual genuine media posts it.

she chose to wear haute couture Dior. It was going to get commented on. For many of us the fashion is the most interesting aspect of the whole shebang. It didn’t fit her properly

It never occurred to me it was grey, it fitted perfectly, and I thought she looked really great, classy and elegant, so there you go.

If I’d shelled out for haute couture I’d want it to fit better than this.

Forinara · 08/06/2022 09:01

Some people are born to wear haute couture and some people are born to wear Florence & Fred I guess..

PaddingtonBearStareAgain · 08/06/2022 09:01

They realky aren't. Since when has the labour leaning Mirror been classed as 'far right'. It just seems to be a label attached to things as an alternative for 'I don't like'

zafferana · 08/06/2022 09:01

Uh, I was asked to provide links to anyone but the DM, so I did that. And now those other news outlets also aren't to your liking either. Silly me! Hmm

Bully for you! I thought it looked really great. Not sure what you mean about the fitting being bad and I used to work in medium to high end fashion. Slate me for not knowing anything if you want

I do actually! I thought she looked stunning in that turquoise dress she wore on their last visit and she wore a gorgeous navy skirt on one occasion with royal blue between the pleats on the skirt. She looks much better in a dress than in boxy coats, and since most of the other young royal women were in dresses it was a shame she hadn't done the same.

Awww shame for you although I have a couple of lovely F&F bits so don't despair.

Seriously... are you honestly saying Meghan is only suited to supermarket clothes? What an unpleasant comment but it's not the first is it?

According to the TV commentary it was lilac not grey. It looked white or cream to me but it certainly wasn't ugly. I do think she looks best in either casual or red carpet glam but there was absolutely nothing wrong with the way she looked or was dressed

Alwayscheerful · 08/06/2022 09:16

I would guess Meghan chose the colour because it was platinum.

Samcro · 08/06/2022 09:45

must go and check Heat magazine to find out the truth about the photographer.

Gosh you’re rude and unnecessarily combative. I haven’t and wouldn’t slate anyone, I’m just interested in fashion. The front is puckered. If I was appearing on the world stage with her resources I would not have a pucker in the front of my coat. The spring Dior collection has several exquisite pieces which would have suited her body shape and the occasion far better in my humble opinion, but that belted coat is not her best look and it wasn’t shown done up to the neck originally. If she wanted to wear it like that it needed adjusting to sit properly.

Roussette · 08/06/2022 10:25

In your opinion. I loved it. As did many others Not sure how that's rude and combative

DFOD · 08/06/2022 10:27

@Roussette

Rousette - are you aware that your little phrases such as:

Bully for you.

Awww shame for you…

Are you feeling alright?

…all your nastiness

….so there you go.

Will that do?

….might make you come across as nasty and as unpleasant as your own attempts to cast these other posters.

You have some valid points to make and they would have more impact if you engaged in respectful discourse.

Andromachehadabadday · 08/06/2022 10:52

i thought the ‘wife in the stern comment’ was the poster wondering if she was in the early stages of pregnancy. Not a dig.

I always find these thread fascinating, because some many of the ‘we love H&M’ posters, can’t stand if anything ever vaguely negative is said.

As above, getting arsey and challenging someone because they don’t like her outfit. And pretending because they do like the outfit that’s it, case closed.

The vast majority of people don’t really care either way. They are just joining a discussion and will have opinions that aren’t 100% positive. That doesn’t mean they hate H&M and all they do.

I disliked the coat. Wasn’t keen on her hat. But someone that must mean that I hate her and how she dresses. Not really just didn’t like that particular outfit on her.

SoyMarina · 08/06/2022 11:47

Roussette is Meghan a personal friend of yours?
If not, you are worryingly overinvested.
She is a stunning woman and sometimes gets it right stylewise but not this time.
Anyone with the slightest fashion sense would agree that Coat outfit was wrong for her.
It did not flatter her in the slightest.
