Thanks for the new thread @Roussette
Hopefully, we'll hear from the judge soon.

In the meantime, I know he is their father and they are trying to show support, but I did have to laugh at PA being described as a "good egg". Definitely seems like a rotten one to me!

Roussette · 09/01/2022 19:33

My heart bleeds for them not

A good egg, my arse! Whilst I feel slightly sorry for B&E, SF and the daughters really need to button it, whilst this is going on. They are not going to change public opinion, they just make it worse AFAIC

I do feel sorry for them as presumably they believe he's innocent and trust him implicitly. Plus, they're in no way responsible for his actions so they really are innocent parties. I agree it would be best if they didn't say anything, but imagine they find that difficult when they want to fight his corner and speak up for him.

Anyway, hope there's a decision soon!

OverByYer · 09/01/2022 19:41

Im getting nervous that the Judge is taking so long, last week sounded positive and I thought would come straight back and tell PA's legal team to pipe down and the case would run. Now I'm worried that he may back track.

Roussette · 09/01/2022 19:42

Yes, the longer it goes on, the more I wonder

I’ve no doubt Andrew is a good dad to B and E but that doesn’t make him an angel. I don’t know how all the people who knew JE and GM and took advantage of their ‘hospitality’ can claim they are innocent.

Vapeyvapevape · 09/01/2022 19:46

Just checking in, the house sale article was very interesting and just seems to cast even more of a dodgy cloud over PA.

Roussette · 09/01/2022 19:53

PA has been dodgy for a very long time. I quoted on the previous thread another of his dealings.

Thanks Roussette! Settling my bum down with some biscuits for thread three. This week will be interesting.

Vapeyvapevape · 09/01/2022 20:13

As I said before,I really hope that this court case is a catalyst and proper investigations into all his dodgy dealings take place.

NiceShrubbery · 09/01/2022 20:23

He's the door-opener. This case will show how all these dodgy elites are connected. I have no faith that justice will be done but hopefully am wrong.

Malariahilaria · 09/01/2022 20:24

@Gilmorehill

I’ve no doubt Andrew is a good dad to B and E but that doesn’t make him an angel. I don’t know how all the people who knew JE and GM and took advantage of their ‘hospitality’ can claim they are innocent.
The thing is, you can say he's a good dad, but girls his daughter's age were seen as fair game for a shag by multiple men in dodgy circumstances. You'd hope a 'good dad' would see multiple teenage girls led into rooms for sex and hope he'd be horrified and disgusted, but he joined in.
BlackAlys · 09/01/2022 20:41

Those girls were expendable though. Commoners, 'normal' folk. They mattered less.

CathyorClaire · 09/01/2022 20:43

Thanks for the new thread, Roussette Smile

I did have to laugh at PA being described as a "good egg"

I quite liked the bit about 'protecting the family name'.

They're not known as the brightest little buttons in the box but surely even they realised that ship sailed long ago?

I'm also quite intrigued by them being 'sad' he 'couldn't' join them in the mysteriously financed now it's paid-up and now it isn't ski pad.

Why couldn't he is the question that nags.

StartupRepair · 09/01/2022 20:46

Agree that in Andrews's world there are the girls who are there to service rich men and then his own daughters are like a separate protected species.

This is from a couple of years ago but Marina Hyde was really good on the differences between the girls.

Vapeyvapevape · 09/01/2022 20:48

He's doing the honourable thing by not going skiing, doesn't want it to look like he's having a whale of a time while there's a court case hanging over him. (though I'm sure he would have gone had he not been advised against it)

Buddywoo · 09/01/2022 20:50

I imagine some pressure will be put on the judge through 'channels' such as HM is very elderly and it is her platinum jubilee this year, do you want that to be spoiled with all the stress. We will see.

Roussette · 09/01/2022 20:51

No way could he have gone. Pics of him having a ball on the slopes with all the extended family would've made him look like more of a tit than he is!

OP posts:
CathyorClaire · 09/01/2022 21:05

And yet he's happy to be snapped riding royal nags (with the inevitable flunky in attendance) in Windsor.

I'm not sure the tit scale is or ever has been on his brazen radar.

If it's finally made it through the fog, it's a miracle Grin

CaveMum · 09/01/2022 21:08

@SerendipityJane The Queen reportedly believes in changing nothing unless you really have to

Or unless one of her kids stamps his feet and insists on marrying a divorcee.
