The Star Claim Kate is Seething with Jealousy over Meghan

I totally missed this. The Star newspaper claimed that Kate is seething with jealousy that Meghan no longer has to abide by Royal protocols and can live her life as she wants.

My personal take is that this is probably over-egged, which trashy tabloids ten to do. But I can imagine her at times feeling a bit jealous of Meghan's freedoms. Surely that would just be natural as she has to follow yet another Royal protocol, and yet sees Meghan doing what she wants to do?

Why a biscuit? This is the RF board, and the RF gossip sites were all talking about this when it came out. Although lots of extreme views on some boards.

And yes, the Cambridges certainly took their time and made sure knew what she was letting herself in for.

Kate knew what she was getting into 100 percent.
I don't believe for one minute she wants Megan's freedom. She has what she wants. Fame .money. status.

I agree she had a good idea of what she was marrying into. But don't most people sometimes get a bit jealous of aspects of other peoples lives, even if they wouldn't change their own life?
So Kate may want to be Queen and stay married, but surely it would be natural at times to get irritated that you cant say or do things that other people can?

Kate can leave if she wants to. She appears to be aware what she has signed up for (and possibly what happened to Diana and her access to the children when she left), and is going for it in order to be Queen.

However it would be fair to say that all of them are stuck in a gilded cage, none of the women joining fully know what it will be like until it is too late and there must be times when they think 'What if?'

He has a supportive and close family and loyal, discreet friends. She's more popular than she's ever been and looks very happy these days. She's sort of growing into her role. I'm not sure what there is to envy Meghan over. Meghan's living her best life in the USA and Kate is living hers in the UK. I wonder why its constantly necessary to keep dragging on either or both of them.

I think if Kate was jealous of anyone's life style it would be Pippa's. Mega mega rich DH with no need to appear on tacky chat shows. Go where you like do what you like.

I really can’t see why she would be jealous , and it doesn’t matter how much more popular or less popular other members of the family are it’s Catherine who will be Queen.

I have a secret theory that William is a closet republican anyway , I suspect he doesn’t want his son to have to be King and think it’s entirely possible that he will dedicate his reign to abolishing the monarchy.

Jealousy ? Yes, I think there has been jealousy but it's coming one way from Meghan.

I doubt it. Kate has her own family here, gets on with the in-laws, has 3 lovely kids, title etc whereas her BIL and SIL are estranged, have 2 kids and Doria and that's pretty much it, except for American acquaintances. They might have a decent climate but going LC is a high price to pay.

Nah, I think Kate is very clearly flourishing the more she steps into the role and spotlight. She seems to be made for it and fair play to her. Nice to see someone who doesn't see totally destroyed by an RF role.

Why would she envy someone who’s caused to much upset to her family?

I think Kate has her freedoms to some extent, she raises her children the way she wants, she drives herself around London doing various bits and pieces, she supports charities and believes in. I think she was fully aware of what the role entailed and has accepted it. Do I think she's upset at the way the other two have behaved, probably, but you only need to read the threads on here to know all families have their issues.
