The Star Claim Kate is Seething with Jealousy over Meghan

I totally missed this. The Star newspaper claimed that Kate is seething with jealousy that Meghan no longer has to abide by Royal protocols and can live her life as she wants.

My personal take is that this is probably over-egged, which trashy tabloids ten to do. But I can imagine her at times feeling a bit jealous of Meghan's freedoms. Surely that would just be natural as she has to follow yet another Royal protocol, and yet sees Meghan doing what she wants to do?

So can I, @julieca, don't worry, I can see too.

You can call Kate bland if you want, it's an opinion. Because on here we have a poster having a great dig at Meghan about a baby's bottle. Pathetic. She was in a comedy piece of a talk show, perhaps the poster missed that bit!

If only some of these posters had pointed out and pulled up posters on some of the cruel, vile, disgusting and quite frankly... deranged... insults thrown at Kate's SIL on the hundreds of threads over years. Then I would listen.

The 'endless, endless threads of vile and vitriolic comments about Harry and Meghan' comment that people spam this board with got boring really fast. It's just spam people use to try to derail, or in this particular case, justify the hate campaign against ar Kate and William.

This is a thread inviting misogynistic comments about both Kate and Meghan.

The hate-filled thread about Prince William dried up fairly soon after I pointed out Prince Harry had made a similar comment to the one that posters were calling William a 'cunt' and 'thick' etc. for. I had assumed this thread was about the Daily Star newspaper but it's actually about an American magazine called 'Star magazine' LOL.

If you consider my posts as 'spam' report them to MNHQ. You cannot control the narrative and only have positive comments about W&K, but anything goes with H&M. So I'll point that out as much as I like, thanks.

I don't believe the Star for what it's worth... they make up anything and everything. But you cannot have a go at a poster for something as mild as 'bland' .

As I said in my PP, I think Kate is too far removed from what goes on to be jealous of M. They lead such different lives. Having said that... I would imagine as a couple H&M are a bit of a thorn in the side as far as popularity because like it or not, they are popular over in the US.

I dont think they're "popular" in the us because they are trying to run in circles they wouldnt normally feel comfortable in. Ie,political. Meghan isnt stupid but politicans need to earn support at a ground level and bit by bit year by year election by election.

I do think more american people believed their poor us narrative though so they're more pitied in america because some americans dont understand or believe that if your life is imviting yr sister over, going to yr sisters house, extending/accepting invites from a loyal circle then you can "do what you want".

Questioning someone's decision to start a thread criticising a woman based on an unreliable story is not 'having a go'. Reinforcing my comment with a further example of negative comments by OP on another live thread on MN is not having a go either.

No question. I’d 100% decline. I can’t imagine it being Kate’s style either, not from what we know about her.

I’d thought it a piece from the Daily Star too. Never heard of this publication. It looks like one of those checkout mags that fills its pages with speculation.

I don’t find Kate bland, I simply perceive her as professional in her public role. She does what’s required of her without deflecting from the events she’s attending, which is what’s required.

I have no idea what her personality’s like as she keeps that side very private, but they seem to enjoy a varied life including the wider close knit family and I would imagine that suits her very well.

My perception is that the two duchesses are extremely different types and both are now living the lives they choose. It’s a non starter story designed to stir up bad blood.

Ooooer, "bland, seething, mom-of-three". It's as good as the prat headlines on some of the magazines in Morrisons. (I peruse the fronts of them but I don't buy them.)

I doubt she’s seething about it at all.

If Kate hates her role then she’s doing a very, very good job of not showing it at all. She always seems happy and enjoying life.
I think the tabloids just can’t accept that Kate and Meghan are two very different women with very different priorities and goals in life. I very much doubt they’re jealous of each other.

Thirding my voice. It's just an excuse for @julieca to tear lumps out of Catherine.

Saying I can understand if sometimes Catherine is jealous because of the restrictions placed on her, is not tearing lumps out of her.
I was sometimes jealous of single friends not having the restrictions on them that having small children brings. I still wanted those children.
People can have two opposing ideas of wanting their life but being jealous of the restrictions that life places on them and others don't have.
Yes I agree the Star is not a reliable source which is why I said I don't believe for one minute she is seething. But all the tabloids and trashy magazines exaggerate what may be a minor action or thought of a Royal Family member.

You should talk, when you just said 'tacky' on this thread.

You also are fine with people branding H&M with all sorts of names and labels.

You would sound more credible if you had the same energy admonishing those who attack H&M.

People quote all sorts of rags on here all the time when it's a negative story about H&M. Infact that is all they seem to do.

OP I would say that KM is stuck and she knows it.

William can cheat and do all he wants, there is nothing she can do about it. I think her family would also not like to disturb the apple cart, so not too sure how they would support her to leave - after all, the whole world is looking on and royalists would come after her if she did (unlike Diana who is loved for herself, KM is approved of because of her compliance).

Aside from having a husband who is deliriously in love with her, I don't think KM would necessarily look to MM for admiration/jelousy etc. After all, KM has her 'privilege' that MM cannot have. Currently, as long as she toes the line, the press are kinder to KM. As someone said, there are lots of women outside the spotlight (some with crowns, status etc) that she could well be jealous of as the limelight is not that much on them.

As for her 'knowing what she was getting into'. Well it's different for everyone, so will depend on how you are treated - eg. MM had more vitriol than her and that was rather unexpected.

'Bland' is nothing compared to all the names and nastiness on thousands of posts about the other two

I find it hilariously ironic that 'bland' can provoke such anger!

If I was to list all the revolting names and jibes levelled at M, I'd be here till a week on Saturday!! Christmas day!
