For those that are interested - I know I am.

Does anyone know when the appeal judgement will be made.

Its being broadcast in the US tomorrow night apparently. So at least nobody has long to wait to see what new revelations she comes up with next. I would think that HM the Queen and the rest of the family have quite enough on their plate without this.

She said she felt that she couldn’t work with Scobie going forwards if he didn’t correct that. I felt that gave weight to the idea that details that appeared on the book were unlikely to have been made up. I wasn’t addressing whether she would sue or not.

Ok, so the argument goes:

• They would have corrected false stories
• We know they worked on the book
• Everything in there must be accurate (in their view) or they would have sued.

My counter to that is:

• We still don't know that they collaborated on the book other than giving some background.
• We don't know that they had any control over what was written or published.
• We still don't know whether any of the 'private moments' are factual or artistic licence on Scobie/Durant's part.
• We have no reason to assume they would necessarily sue any more than they have Lady Colin Campbell over her book.

I don't think I need to have read the book to see that this is a fairly logical position (isn't it?)
Unless details from the book are proven to be both accurate and information that had to have come from Meghan and Harry directly, we can't say definitively. Not suing, and correcting information in a tweet have no real bearing on that as far as I can see?

Aspiring I agree that we don’t know and I also agree that the fact that they didn’t sue does not necessarily mean that they collaborated ( although given their litigious nature it would be likely imo), but the episode about the Tiara that appeared in FF is pretty much a verbatim repeat of Meghan’s third person email about the incident. That is not just background info. Sorry,I have seen the two compared somewhere but I can’t find it just now. I’ll have a look on a while.

Really? You do know there are many actual terrible things happening in the world at any one time, and this is not one of them?

Ellen doesn’t exactly do hard-hitting. I’m fairly sure this will largely be fluffy conversations about how happy Meghan and Harry are, how adorable and advanced their children are and some discussion around recent and upcoming projects. They are bound to mention the Quern’s health (surely? Another chance to mention how they are zooming ). I expect anything close to court cases and Meghan’s family will not be included!

I was about to say that I am surprised by Meghan wanting to associate with Ellen given the bullying accusations but, on the basis Meghan has a reputation for wanting control over her narrative, maybe she is limited to who will agree to interview her as a result.

Hope she never ever does Piers Morgan. The way he has treated her and other black women like Simone Biles was disgusting. If she ever wanted a UK interview she could always do an interview with Trevor Phillips for instance. She is not a politician so that may not work but at least he can have fair, sensitive serious discussions about racism for example.

Ellen is very problematic and I’m disappointed Meghan is doing an interview with her. I suppose they are friends or whatever. Ellen defended Meghan when the UK press were constantly brutal so maybe that’s why she is doing it. Meghan should have had done an interview with Essence instead, as both HaM said they would give other media a chance. I suppose a publication like Essence has limited reach( most readers are AA & black people outside the US. ) But this would have been great I think. Ellen is more mainstream so maybe that’s why she chose to go with her.If the ratings bomb then Meghan will get criticism, this time I think she will deserve it. Ellen & her toxic workplace , low wages for staff plus bullying allegations made a lot of people cancel her. I will give this one a pass & not go looking for it online as I have no time for Ellen.

Interesting choice. Just had a look on Twitter and it's mainly Meghan fans commenting, along the following lines - either:

• wow, no leaks about Meghan being on Ellen, just shows their team now is really behind them

• why would Meghan associate herself with someone who's got a rep for bullying?

Some genuine puzzlement from Meghan supporters on that last one.

If it's the Ellen show, it merely involves waving to a screaming overexcited audience, smile and laugh, participate in a competition where a semi hysterical audience member wins money, wave again and go. Silly, self important fluff.

There's a 90 second preview clip of tomorrow's interview where M talks about life as a struggling actress. It's possible that this will be a light and fluffy distraction from her life post meeting Harry
