could not believe it when I saw the advert for it last night. so PW is presenting this thing. the same Prince who flies all over the world.
obviously won't be watching as him and DA lecturing people about climate change is so hypocritical.

Also, I was not at all surprised by the pictures posted on here, they are thee same exact handful of pics, out of thousands, we get every time someone tries to prove that K&W are into each other.

I think they honestly struggled to find pics showing closeness. They showed the same pics shown here, and quickly ran out. They picked pics of them smiling together, but close like brother and sister, with no touching - which from what I have seen is typical of the pics of the couple.

The vast majority of photos of the couple are from when they are on engagements together, though - i.e. at work. Typically when at work they tend to focus on the people they are meeting and the activities they are involved in, rather than each other. Most couples I know who work together keep a professional distance from each other when at work.

This is 'work' where they show us their babies as they come out of hospital, first days of school, calendars etc. so hardly strict professional, nothing personal, clinical kind of set up most people have.

As I had said, various professional couples show more togetherness, without being ott. This couple is not convincing.

PW might be work shy and have no green credentials, but I do think he and Kate are well suited.
does make me lol when posters who will a thread slagging of another royal and his wife, are so pro PW.

The other couples I mentioned who are heads of states typically have way bigger audiences than W&K.

Their working events also include meeting front line workers to discuss vaccination programmes, attending youth activities etc but yes the froideur at these recent work events is palpable..

I was really taken by the comments I think made by @Gwrach about how isolating it must be to be the heir to the heir at the moment. As was said, yes he could abdicate but he would be doing so knowing of the vast imposition and implications it would have on both his brother and his children (if the monarch endures) or on the monarchy itself (if it precipitated its ending). Wrestling with those forks in the road must be nigh on impossible. With all that going on I hope PW does find himself energised with the Earthshot initiative. We are all hypocritical to varying degrees - including all of us on this thread. Our self interest whether that is using a helicopter or going on a long haul flight for a holiday will always be in conflict with our more altruistic intentions (using alternative transport, limiting holiday destinations to closer at home locations). How well we manage that conflict is down to the individual. Notwithstanding the personal commitment challenge, the ambition of Earthshot is to be applauded - supporting innovation into action and hopefully scaleable action.

I don't think they will ever divorce. But I doubt it is a happy marriage. Although they have large enough palaces and enough money that they can largely live separate lives if they choose to do. It is what Charles and Camilla seem to do.

@myrtleWilson All those reasons are why the RF should have projects that really do connect with their personal interests and where they have integrity. The mismatch with William and the environment is too great.

I think the photos you are referring to were taken at a football match. The Euros. Where England were playing. Enough to make anyone look stressed 🤣

Yes maybe a football match. Everyone was cooing about how close it showed Kate and William were with George, but no one on how Kate and William seemed to be as far apart from each other as they could physically get.

Can we not speculate on people's marriages and how close they are.

We don't know what goes on behind closed doors in out own family marriages let alone royals and celebrities.

How many times have we been shocked to discover one friends spouse playing away and said "I never though he/she would, they seemed so in love" and how many of us know couples who have been together years, show very little PDA but their marriage is as strong as a concrete foundation.

All the photos I saw had George standing in between. He had his own seat. This looks like a posed photo. Not how they were when watching the match.

@Gwrach I think you can tell if a couple love each other. You can see in their body language. Love is not enough, so it may still be a bad marriage though.

Oh for goodness sake julieca. I think the one you are referring to may have been where England beat Germany. Again, some photos show them looking understandably very tense, as it was an important game in case you didn’t realise. This photo was , however, taken after the win.

Julieca I can’t really believe that you genuinely believe this, but if you do want to come up with your own narrative it helps to make sure that it survives consideration of the facts.

If you actually look at the dignitaries box at Wembley, unlike the general admission areas, they have big seats, quite a long way apart from each other (you can google for pictures of people sitting in it at the final, if you care).

The Cambridges sat with George between them, and stayed that way for most of the match. Taking up three seats in a line automatically meant they were quite some way apart, so that is “how they looked while watching the match”. If you look for example at the footage of William celebrating England’s goal, you can see they are all sitting down, only to leap to their feet cheering when the goal was scored. Each of them leant down in turn to hug and celebrate with their son, who was between them.

Towards the end of the match when it got very tense, they stood up and moved closer together. You can see tv footage of this, by the way, and this was very much a candid shot, not a posed photo.

This thread is making me laugh.

They could be madly in love or hate each others guts, no idea.
I imagine they get on ok because they're stuck with each other far more than any other couple, so I would like to think they both individually work hard at their marriage.

I laugh because my DH looks a miserable sod at times with his grumpy resting face, he's awkward and contrary and I bet observers would think we're on our way to the divorce courts.
