In what capacity are Harry and Meghan visiting New York

They are no longer working members of the Royal Family so have they gone to New York as private citizens?

How do they get to meet with Chelsea Clinton at the WHO offices and UN officials and politicians?

According to the Mail (I know, I know) they had federal protection.

Do Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex (as they are styled there) have much clout in the US? Why?

Apart from a wire poking out of Harry's back pocket, is there any evidence that they were actually recording content for their Netflix show? It'll be amusing if the show comes out and then it turns out nothing of this trip is incorporated into it.

As non senior royals they should only attend events other non senior royals do. This is generally wedding and funerals and jubilee events.

The balcony scenes are getting smaller and smaller in line with Charles wishes.

Christmas church event, I think they can because other non senior working royals attend. And who Maj invites to her home at Christmas is up to Maj.

Thing is, has trust been broken? Can they rely on H and M not recalling Williams stories on Christmas after one two many sherries and Kate sneaking a fag out the back.

They will turn up, but be kept at arm's length, so they may not attend because it's kinda awkward when you walk in to a room and everyone stops talking or worse walks out. Who wants that kind of Christmas?!

You really think any of the RF want to be seen anywhere near Harry anywhere in public? It's not a case of "why shouldn't they" it's a case of why should the RF have to play pretend with Harry's view of the world where there are no consequences to having said your dad and brother are trapped etc etc etc?

Yes I am saying that there should be no public appearances as royalty. No walk to church no balcony. Because it will be all fodder for their Netflix or spotify whatever that is.

But they are members of their family. Blood relatives. So why shouldn’t they walk together.

Although as another poster has said, the RF might not want anything to do with them anyway. And I wouldn’t blame them for not trusting them.

But if they want to, I don’t see why they shouldn’t.

No, I agree with you.

My point is - if they want to spend time with them then they should be allowed to be. Who knows if relationships with ever repair enough for it to actually happen (beyond a funeral) but if William and Harry reconcile them of course they should be allowed to be seen publicly together.

Whether Harry is a working Royal or not, he is still family.

Well at least Meghan can’t blame Harry’s family for keeping him away from RF events, she knows personally how it feels having family members selling stories on her and how no contact is the only way to go.

Whether Harry realises the damage to his family relationship, no I don’t imagine he does realise - yet. But I don’t expect he imagined being just above Andrew and below Meghan in latest ranking of popularity either.

Lots of people care for the environment, travel, but ask that we travel responsibly . What about it?

Harry is a veteran and I assume he is going and has being invited because he served?. To get to New York he can choose whatever mode of transport that he fancies. Other Royals do the same every time. We not paying for him so🤷‍♀️

Their real position will be clearer if the christening takes place, if they come for Christmas and if they are at the Jubilee celebrations. I hope they are barred from all of them after the Oprah fiasco.

I don't think we are - I mean look at the posts below - over invested are people who dislike them but make time in their day to churn out comment s as above. I can understand better someone being over invested as you put it if they at least like them a little or what they do not (necessarily fans) I've said before if there was thread about someone I didn't like - I would pass by or make one or two comments but these posters practically live on the M&H threads - doesn't it drive you mad? - to be spending so much of your time thinking about someone you dislike unless Of course buried in that bitterness there is a little envy about these two, what they do and how. Apparently They have upset you because they spoke out against the RF, are making money - and generally looking too well for your liking. well it really isn't going to stop - They will always find a way to live well. If you think they are Hypocrites fair enough - so are plenty of others out there. And I mean plenty long before them. Honestly they are in US with their family and it is very unlikely they will bring their children back to live here so accept it and move on, focus on those who bring you joy or at least you are in the same country with.
