The discussion is still rumbling on...
Over on the Daily Mail site there's yet another article about whether H&M will name names.
This I found was interestingly written as it only seems to mention one other family member...

@Viviennemary

I hardly think Harry is on the scale of a senior world leader. That is what is so pathetic about his behaviour. He is a nobody. But its taking a long time to sink in.
for a "nobody" he gets a lot of threads about him!!!
Plumtree391 · 06/09/2021 16:12

I can't imagine William, or his wife or Prince Charles, being racist; it has never crossed my mind. His mother certainly wasn't and both her sons appear to have inherited her best bits.

Roussette · 06/09/2021 16:13

Hahaha lovin' your style @samcro!

All these posters who want him to disappear and are fed up with him, yet there is this absolute compulsion for them to keep writing about him!

dontyouwish2 · 06/09/2021 16:18

@Viviennemary

They need to be seen hob nobbing with the royals. Hey we're still royal dont ya know. Pathetic.
Is the world supposed to collective wake up with insomnia and forget that Harry is the queen's grandson, the future king' son, the future, future king's brother or something?

They have every right to use thee titles, just as much as other aristos. Duke of Marlborough - the drug addict with a long police record.
Earl of Strathmore - queen's cousin pleaded guilty to sexual assault

A slew of useless, profit making titled :
Viscounts Rothermere and his brother Viscount Hamsworth - owners of DM. Do not pay taxes in the UK, making money and telling you what to think all the while 'French resident'.
Duke of Bedford - just died but tilted going to son. Made lucrative deals in the name of titles and is super rich.
Duke of Westminster - the richest man in London almost all the freeholds around central London. Passed on from his forefathers making profits on titles.
Duke of Beaufort - 350M worth rock star
Duke of Richmond - high society star.

Then you have the family titles which you all know are literary trading on name(but have the handy amnesia kick in when convenient). Like the Michaels.

And no, it's immaterial that H&M are overseas. Just like their cousins keep their titles like Freddy in the US, and as I said before Viscount Rothermere lives in France and pays tax in offshore haven Cayman Islands.

i know.....yet they are the ones talking about him. I have seen nothing on the news about H&M only PC
Aspiringmatriarch · 06/09/2021 16:40

Well said @dontyouwish2. As if one of Prince Charles and Princess Diana's children is going to fade into obscurity and we'll all forget there was ever a royal connection. It's literally been his life up to now, and definitely not one I envy. But no, we can't have him 'capitalising on it' by...existing. Or God forbid, visiting his grandmother.

Made a good speech? Pfft, speech writers.
Standing ovation? The Americans would do that for an empty room (never mind that he also got a standing ovation after his GQ speech to a British audience, with Piers Morgan sitting in the audience 🤣).

There's a weird kind of bitterness behind this level of criticism, honestly.

Viviennemary · 06/09/2021 16:40

All these VIPs arent lecturing me about equality priviledge and other stuff. And doing deals with netflix and spotify. They know when to keep threir mouths shut. Thats the difference.

OK, so it's caring about issues, speaking, and being successful that bothers you? Good to get a better picture.
Viviennemary · 06/09/2021 16:45

Hypocrites bother me.

Aspiringmatriarch · 06/09/2021 16:46

🙄
Sure.

Roussette · 06/09/2021 16:47

@Aspiringmatriarch

Agree. It's strangely weird that someone can say they are sick of him yet keep posting about him on and on.
Can't get my head round it AT ALL.

Anyone that annoys me in the public eye, I avoid like the plague.

Aspiringmatriarch · 06/09/2021 16:52

@Roussette it honestly strikes me as some kind of collective mental...issue? Not sure how to word it. It's so peculiar though. The constant picking on fictions and trivialities.

They are doing worse. They are telling you who to like/hate, Vote for and how to run your country. Criticise your doctors, teachers and other key workers. Whatever will make them money and you are falling hook line and sinker for all of it.

Silly me, I was waiting for MN to start a thread on the actual scandal that took place and reported this weekend. But, nothing, nada from the supposedly objective critics who follow royals.

Aspiringmatriarch · 06/09/2021 16:57

I know, especially from those who apparently can't stand hypocrites!

dontyouwish2 · 06/09/2021 16:58

@Aspiringmatriarch

What I note the most is the bitter, rather aggressive 'criticism' that is not applied to all, and most certainly not on the same level or frequency.

smilesy · 06/09/2021 17:00

@dontyouwish2. Feel free to start a thread. Anyone can!

Why2why · 06/09/2021 17:02

@Viviennemary

That is some kind of nobody. If he is a nobody, God help the rest of us.

Harry never imagined his intelligent and beautiful wife would help propel him to such power in his own right.

Kate is a true example of independent women. She was very successful before she met William. She grafted, had several jobs that she was successful at and which made her independently wealthy before she meet William.

Viviennemary · 06/09/2021 17:03

Start a thread about all these things that concern you. Anyone can.

Aspiringmatriarch · 06/09/2021 17:05

Anyone can start a thread on the RF, as long they don't mind it degenerating into a load of complaints about Harry and Meghan! An enjoyable prospect indeed! I did think of making one about Harry's GQ speech but just couldn't be bothered with the thought of all the poisonous remarks.

dontyouwish2 · 06/09/2021 17:06

with Piers Morgan sitting in the audience 🤣).

Haha, I forgot he splashed pics of him and his wife attending. it must have stung.

Aspiringmatriarch · 06/09/2021 17:08

Yes, the wife who described Meghan as an 'impudent girl'. Actually, I wonder if she's one of these posters.

Celia..?

Roussette · 06/09/2021 17:09

Yes but...even when one starts a thread, will any of the ummm detractors grace that thread with their presence?
Nah.
They only want to criticise H&M

I've started PA threads before. Even when there was news out that day..tumbleweed. I'm told the reason is, everyone agrees he's awful
That's not the point, there is discussion to be had. But no, it's not that awful couple across the pond, so no interest.
Some posters on here would be very conspicuous by their absence on any thread about PC or PA.

derxa · 06/09/2021 17:15

Kate is a true example of independent women. She was very successful before she met William. She grafted, had several jobs that she was successful at and which made her independently wealthy before she meet William. I love Kate. I think she's great.

ajandjjmum · 06/09/2021 17:16

What is the discussion to be had @Roussette?

To me, a discussion is an exchange of opinion - can there be different opinions on PA?

Have to say, not a H & M supporter, but I'm bored of the conversations on here now, so tend to avoid. Everyone repeats the same stuff ad nauseum - not interesting, enlightening or thought provoking.
