The discussion is still rumbling on...
Over on the Daily Mail site there's yet another article about whether H&M will name names.
This I found was interestingly written as it only seems to mention one other family member...

@Why2why

This is the nonsensical and baseless level that H&M haters in the UK occupy whilst H&M hit the world stage on a big and impactful level.

H&M have risen well above this juvenile playground nonsense.

Sit back and observe their strategy. They are globally focused. They are big time. They do not intend to be dragged down into this silliness about imagined competitions between them and other Royals who spend their time cutting ribbons and doing low impact stuff within the borders of the UK.

H&M have progressed whilst the RF seems to be losing respect. It would be a good think for H&M to distance themselves from a failing, archaic institution that is an embarrassment worldwide for protecting someone who is accused of sexually abusing an trafficked underage girl and who are seen to have racist and colonial views that have no place in today’s society.

H&M would be fools to tie themselves too closely to that mess save for acknowledging they are part of the family.

Do you honestly believe all that!? "Globally focussed" "Risen well above" Not "dragged down into silliness"

And of course the essential mention of the delightful Andrew. Not forgetting that anyone who doesn't believe in their dodgy truth is a "hater" and probably "frothing" too

< sigh > here we go again . Haters . In what world does criticism equate to hate ?

Why2why · 06/09/2021 13:33

Yep I believe that and the evidence is clear. They’re not cutting ribbons and spouting inane stuff. They lead and they do not follow. The RF just goes along, coming in late in things that many have already raised issues about.

"They are not cutting ribbons" Of course not. No body asks them to

"not spouting inane stuff" I've not heard anything from them that was not 85 to 90% inane. But maybe you like word salad.

"they lead, do not follow" who have they led? and to where?

Roussette · 06/09/2021 13:54

So Harry's speech at the Vax live concert that got a standing ovation was just 'word salad' was it?
It helped mobilise 26M vaccine doses for the most vulnerable and raised £302M.
But that's word salad.. .rightio....

Roussette · 06/09/2021 13:57

And World Central Kitchen and the ongoing thanks that WCK continually give to the couple....just word salad

I think some posters on here need to face up to the fact that the MSM and some people over here just want to tear them down. It's a bitter pill to swallow but many in the US and elsewhere don't feel like you do

Why2why · 06/09/2021 15:11

You must be living in an alternative universe.

Here’s an idea; H&M has left the UK and doing their thing. Why not spend time talking about all the ribbon cutting the working royals here are doing? Let’s talk about all the current issues that they are leading the charge on. Like Kate bearing the flag for feminism and really champion women’s rights, including modelling what it means to be a modern woman. I mean she is a shining example of what all young women, who want to push forward women’s rights, should be aspiring to.

Or let’s talk about William leading the way on racism, proclaiming that the Royal Family cannot be racist and doing nothing to show how that can possibly be true with all evidence pointing to the contrary. But wait; William will be leading the way in any-racism as he is the first in this country to push for hiring diverse staff. What a leading example! Yessss sirrreee

I wish!

Why oh why was he the only Royal household not to reveal his ethnic diversity figures this year when the Q and PC managed it?
Obviously something to hide

I did watch his speech, but if it achieved what you say it did, then well done him - and his speech writer
smilesy · 06/09/2021 15:33

I thought it was only Clarence House that revealed the figure. All I can find from Buckingham Palace is that the amount is “not enough”. Unless I’ve missed it? 🤔

Why2why · 06/09/2021 15:40

Every senior person on that scale has a speech writer who works with said senior person to reflect what they want to say. That should tell you Harry is big time. Not some small time gig doing everything for himself.

So you think senior world leaders write their own speech? Do you think the Queen writes her own speech?

Harry is global, big impact. He should have a speech writer and does have one. He is appearing more and more polished and powerful. The man has done well.

Roussette · 06/09/2021 15:40

- and his speech writer

Lol. Even just once there has to be a barb!
It's funny

smiley all the figures were released for both Q and PC. That's BP and CH but not KP

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-57589589

That article shows what I said

Roussette · 06/09/2021 15:42

His speech was said with passion and it was very well received.

Yes the royals cut ribbons. And thereby raise funds for those whom they visit & unveil plaques etc. It's what they are supposed to do. Harry did his share.

Why is Kate less a feminist example than Meghan? They are both extremely rich woman. Even tho' the average woman-in-the-street can't aspire to a life like theirs, we do share a gender and some problems are universal.

What is William supposed to do to show he isn't racist? Always travel around with a black friend or two? What is the evidence to show he is racist?

smilesy · 06/09/2021 15:45

Ah ok. The report I read Made it sound that the “Royal Household” was referring to all the palaces. It’s not very clear 🙄🤣

Meh, it’s America. Their audiences applauded every completed sentence.

I thought he looked half asleep. But, as I said, I didn't watch much of it and he might have woken up and become passionate

Viviennemary · 06/09/2021 15:47

I hardly think Harry is on the scale of a senior world leader. That is what is so pathetic about his behaviour. He is a nobody. But its taking a long time to sink in.

Can only assume there must be two Harrys
Viviennemary · 06/09/2021 15:55

I googled the speech. Listened to the first sentence. And switched off. Nobody would give him the time of day if he wasnt a Prince. Shame he hasn't got the humility or self-awardness to realise this.

Roussette · 06/09/2021 15:58

Some of these posts are hilarious!
He was half asleep
He's pathetic
He's a nobody
America will applaud anybody

Seriously...some of these pathetic barbs and insults are just laughable!
Still we haven't had the dim, not brightest bulb one for a while!
Be thankful for that!

Well done H&M for getting out if this is the level of criticism ...just desperation!
Naughty old Harry making a success of a speech and helping raise all that dosh, how very dare he!

Roussette · 06/09/2021 16:00

Awww don't worry Vivienne you don't have to listen and torture yourself Grin

Maybe release the ethnic diversity figures all the other households had done, as opposed to refusing or 'declining'?
