The discussion is still rumbling on...
Over on the Daily Mail site there's yet another article about whether H&M will name names.
This I found was interestingly written as it only seems to mention one other family member...

OP posts:

listentomydeclaration

“It's bloody obvious it's either Charles or Camilla
It would be "damaging" to him as the next king
The relationship between Charles and Harry is strained - is this why?
DM hints at Camilla
MM implied she's "forgiven Kate for allegedly making her cry so it won't be Kate
Harry has said William is still his brother
Both brothers were at the statue unveiling

So it Charles or Camilla”

Ok but did someone not print a transcript of that part of the interview and it didn’t even say it was a member of the family , we all just assumed ? Until they clear up exactly what was sai by whom , the debate will continue !

Oh gosh, sorry to hear about your wrist oldbitstillgotit.
Your typing is good!

Oldbutstillgotit · 04/09/2021 18:04

Thank you it is so awkward 😢

Why would it be damaging for some unknown courtier that no one cares about to reveal they were saying something racist?

It was a family member - I remember being quite shocked as it's something I do except from the courtiers.

There were several conversations. Harry refers to a (what sounds like a first conversation at the beginning), he say he will never reveal what was actually said - presumably because it was really bad.

The palace knows who it is and the person is not apologetic, obviously, and neither is the palace from how they rudely shut it down. That is another reason I do not think it's the wives. Even with seeing the crown around the corner, I cannot imagine Camilla being so arrogant towards Charles children. While I would have said Kate is too meek to make this statement, I am also confused by her bitchy demeaned at the abbey. Still I don't think she or Camilla are protected enough by the palace for this to be swept under.

It has to be someone senior or older in the family, who has always had zero respect for Harry.

I know the statement itself is racist af, and there is nothing casual about 'concern' about how dark the baby would be and the 'implications' of that. However, to me the person was mostly being a cunt towards H&M more than anything. Someone who is probably used to saying all sorts of disrespectful things to H. That is why even when called out they did not put in an apology or excuse. In these cases usually someone would apologise for the message that came out wrong or was taken the wrong way and say they will be mindful in future etc. but this person clearly answered in an arrogant way judging from the statement that came out.

dontyouwish2 · 04/09/2021 18:10

Meant to attach the segments too

This person has dubbed the voice for licence purposes - sounds weird af, but it mostly sticks to the claim itself.

There were many many articles about how he really didn't like his royal life and they must've come from somewhere!

I am not disbelieving you I simply don’t remember reading anything as specific as that . I remember reading that he would like to live in Africa however the impression given ( in my opinion ) was that he still wanted to be Prince Harry but immerse himself in charity work .
I still maintain he always looked cheery when was out and about and crowds loved him especially when he with W and C .

If he was so deeply unhappy he could have put his titles into abeyance and led a relatively private life .
I hope he is happy

Excuse ant typos - have broken my wrist and typing with left hand only 😢

So sorry about your wrist? You're doing brilliantly with your typing.

I have seen the Oprah interview all the way through, twice, and extracts while watching other things but those ... well, it was if I was hearing it for the first time, and seeing Meghan's face. It's very upsetting.

listentomydeclaration, yes it was a C. A stupid one who hasn't learned to know better.

What did they say? I can’t find it
Mummyoflittledragon · 04/09/2021 18:38

@Plumtree391
Do you really think that was just one ‘take’? This interview was scripted and rehearsed. It is far too perfect. Oprah’s reactions were filmed and refilmed if not good enough. Meghan and Oprah are both actresses. Of course Meghan’s was full of feeling. Ditto Oprah. They both may have felt some or all of these feelings at the time or at some time. But they specifically wanted to portray very raw emotions.

dontyouwish2 · 04/09/2021 18:45

I do not view Oprah as some kind of liar.

No doubt she played up the reactions, but I don't think she would go to the pains of lying about it being scripted and rehearsed. She has built her career for years, and this is a big interview. It would be very damaging for her if to be caught out on a lie and it would not be worth it. People have betrayed for nothing, I'm sure lots of publications would pay a lot for such a scoop at the time 'Oprah caught on a lie, rehearsing the interview'. So many out to hunt down H&M, you have to be joking. Am surprised the DM did not pay anyone to lie and say that already.

Most of all though, they did not need to say it was not scripted. If it had been, H&M's PR people would have gone through the interview with a fine comb to see what the British media would tear apart and how she should answer.

The whole world was watching and everyone knew the only way is to be raw and authentic with this, as it would come out as stilted and unconvincing otherwise.

I gave the links above in a different post. You can play them on here, without exiting the mn site as it's youtube.

dontyouwish2 · 04/09/2021 18:53

Yes @Plumtree391, when you see it again, it is very upsetting. Harry looks like someone who is resigned (to what his family have done or decided). Very sad indeed.

Plumtree391 · 04/09/2021 19:09

BadgerB: My bet would be Anne

Do you really think Anne, with all her world experience, is that stupid?

Sorry, I meant, what exactly did the racist royal say?
Meghan doesn’t say what they said. I’d like to know what was actually said.

dontyouwish2 · 04/09/2021 19:25

Harry said he won't disclose. But I don't think we need to know verbatim what the person said, they got the message loud and clear that they were concerned about he implications. I highly doubt they were recording these conversations.

Lockupyourbiscuits · 04/09/2021 19:31

Can someone clever post to explain the Law with regards to slander

For example: if H and M named Charles, it would obviously severely harm his reputation
But Charles can’t prove he didn’t say it / H and M can’t prove he did
So who wins

AllTheUsernamesAreAlreadyTaken · 04/09/2021 19:33

@dontyouwish2

They should share what was said verbatim if they are going to talk about it.
dontyouwish2 · 04/09/2021 19:36

They really don't have to.

Roussette · 04/09/2021 19:46

Course they don't have to, I agree

SloopB · 04/09/2021 19:50

It was Charles. But it could have been more in a who will the kids take after type way. I don't think William is that thick nor do I think he wanted to believe there would be children with Meghan.

UrbanRambler · 04/09/2021 19:50

Of course they don't have to... in fact they could just shut up talking to the media completely (but they won't, sadly). They are so tiresome and self obsessed.

AllTheUsernamesAreAlreadyTaken · 04/09/2021 19:58

I think when so many of their other claims have been proven to be false, “miscommunications” or outright lies, they need to be more transparent with their allegations.
They aren’t credible.

dontyouwish2 · 04/09/2021 19:58

Infact the British Media could just shut up about them, and the people who find them tiresome and self obsessed could just stop reading about them.
