The discussion is still rumbling on...
Over on the Daily Mail site there's yet another article about whether H&M will name names.
This I found was interestingly written as it only seems to mention one other family member...

OP posts:
Roussette · 31/08/2021 07:22

PA is a vile human being. But he has nothing to do with PH and his privilege

Yes it has. . When one member of the RF was immediately stripped of all titles, yet the other one is being protected and the Armed Forces are being asked that they keep him on as a figurehead by the Q Everything to do with it. Same family.

You keep on about privilege. That's protected privilege

so you can pretend the Poor white male Royal Millionaire isn't privileged

You have a beef with Harry. Not sure where your rantings about him are going to get you. It's sounding increasingly desperate.
There are plenty of privileged people on the planet... I'd put the members of the RF way way way above anyone.

Really strange you are so obsessed with Harry when he's left the country, he's given up all that you want apart from the title but you have to get used to the idea that forever and ever... he will be either...
The grandson of a British monarch
or the Son of a British monarch or the brother of a British monarch.

It's a hard pill to swallow, I know, but the sooner you accept this and the fact he will always be Prince Harry, the easier and better you will feel.

Ah @rousette you're like the stereotypical irish mammy defending her son when it comes to H&M!

Errr....silly silly! However, the level of dislike and ridiculous rantings about him is something else!
I would much much rather talk about how the Queen is protecting her awful son who is, at the moment, hiding out in Royal palaces to avoid having legal papers served on him and being a 'person of interest' by law forces.
Now that fits your description !

Hekatestorch · 31/08/2021 07:52

You don't understand privilege.

Privilege isn't something that's dependent on someone doing worse or titles.

How privileged Harry is has nothing g to do with PA and wether PA is benefiting more or less from his privilege.

This is like trying to explain Male privilege or White privilege during the job application process and someone saying 'my dp is a White man and found it hard to get job so no it doesn't exist', completely missing the point.

Of course the rest of the Royal Family are privileged I didn't claim otherwise. I said Harry is one of the most privileged people on the planet. Not THE most.

You think have 'beef' with PH. I don't, I have an opinion. But glad to see you are admitting you wrong when you claimed i have said both were awful.

I have posted and replied on a thread, the same as you have. How is that obsessed with Harry?

Since you believe having a debate on a thread on MN is a sign of obsession, I take it you know you are obsessed with him. Why?

Why are your posts not rants? Even though you are just making up things about what people have said and just banging on about irrelevant situations to prove he isn't privileged.

Who his father and brother is, is not a hard pill to swallow. Its weird that you think that if people have a negative view of PH they must be seething about him. Its just a thread on MN and you are projecting what you think peoples emotions are. And you are wrong.

You seem so defensive over him. You keep making things up, ranting (by your own description) about anyone who doesn't think that the sun shines out of rear end. Denying a white, highly educated, famous man born into vast wealth has huge amounts of privilege.

You seem so hurt that he has lost some, not all titles. And I haven't said he should lose the Prince title. So I don't even know why that's bothering you so much.

If you want to talk about PA start a thread. This thread isn't about PA. Its about H&M. How vile his Uncle is doesn't change my opinion on the H&M situation.

The 'he isn't privileged...because what about PA' doesn't even make sense.

Roussette · 31/08/2021 08:03

Goodness, it's hard to wade through all that.

In fact, I really can't. It's too boring for everyone else and I don't want to prolong it.

However, I will post about PA or whoever I want, where I want... do feel free to come across to the two Andrew threads, they don't get enough traffic, and I've just posted an interesting article on one of them.

Oldbutstillgotit · 31/08/2021 08:22

The reason PA threads don’t get as much traffic is because the majority of people agree he is an arrogant nasty piece of shit .
On the other hand H and M are very polarising hence the pro and con debates .
As far as titles go , I expect ( I don’t know obviously) that steps will be taken about PA if/ when he is found guilty of being anything other than a nasty piece of work with dubious taste in friends .
With H and M , they have repeatedly and vehemently criticised the RF so I wonder why they haven’t dropped their titles ? They are famous , rich etc so why not put them aside and continue to live their lives as Harry and Meghan ? It will be interesting to see what happens when Charles succeeds HM . Will they accept titles for their DC ? If they do I think they are hypocrites.
Some people will jump on this and say Birthright. Agree however it is not obligatory to use the titles .

JacquelineCarlyle · 31/08/2021 09:15

I agree @Oldbutstillgotit

Marmaladeagain · 31/08/2021 10:14

@Hekatestorch your posts are not remotely boring and you have made so many interesting points. Think when the word ‘rant’ is used it means there are not possibly any more daft excuses for Harry’s behaviour to be made - same was said to me twice last week - it’s a word used fairly often but apparently isn’t rude Grin always makes me laugh .

PicsInRed · 31/08/2021 10:35

I still think they held back the name in the hope this senior royal would leave them alone, call off the media contacts who are publishing the harassing stories, and simply let them live the rest of their lives at distance.

I'm sure there is also a lot of pressure to protect the Crown and the institution of Monarchy by holding back on revealing anything which may tarnish the "good heir" we've all been told is waiting for us if we'll only put up with the unpopular one for a few years.

Unfortunately, the pathology of "the person" who said "the thing" is that he will never allow Harry to "prevail" by having a happy peaceful life and family with a beautiful WoC American actress Harry freely chose. This always went well beyond normal sibling rivalry.

In time, H&M will lose patience with the endless smears and will name names and deeds. The inevitability, combined with the potential consequences, almost adds up to a Greek tragedy and depending on the outcomes above, in 300 years it could be an entire History module taught in schools.

Viviennemary · 31/08/2021 10:37

Why 'He'.

PicsInRed · 31/08/2021 10:39

@Viviennemary

Why 'He'.
Because "He".

It's not Anne.

Plumtree391 · 31/08/2021 10:48

Oh for goodness sake, the person who said it was Camilla. Nobody else (in a prominent royal role), would have been so stupid or tactless.

smilesy · 31/08/2021 10:55

See this is the whole problem with HaM having given a half story about all this. Everyone is under suspicion for something that could either be very serious or really amount to nothing. And the fact that it has been stirred up by the release of this epilogue thing is just further shit stirring without any resolution. If they want the Queen to “take ownership” then they should name the person concerned. It’s possible that whoever it is doesn’t actually realise it was them. We’ve all been there: something happens and we are all left saying thing like “ well it wasn’t me, I just said this” or “ well what I meant by that was…”. No one can move on until this is dealt with by both sides.

“Oh for goodness sake, the person who said it was Camilla. Nobody else (in a prominent royal role), would have been so stupid or tactless”

How do you know ? I must have missed that admission.

StartupRepair · 31/08/2021 11:59

Two thoughts. 1. No-one was sending Meghan off to open sewerage plants. She was given lovely hand picked charities around the performing arts and animals to align with her interests.

  1. Harry was apparently offended by William telling him not to rush. But William was clearly in the right here. They were in such a rush that Harry never met Meghan's dad and noone seems to have explained to Meghan how the family worked or the expectations of service. Another year together and they might have decided on a small wedding and a more private life.
Dbank · 31/08/2021 12:49

Unless I am mistaken, they still haven't said what was actually said, i.e. what were the exact words that were used?

If I've missed it I would love to know.

diddl · 31/08/2021 12:51

Wow!

What on earth does that mean ? And why is person in inverted commas ?

Plumtree391 · 31/08/2021 13:03

@PlanDeRaccordement

*Princess Michael. Not sure why I wrote Alexandra in there.
It was Camilla.
Oldbutstillgotit · 31/08/2021 13:07

@ Plumtree391

That’s at least twice you have claimed it was Camilla . How do you know ? I have never seen anything saying that .

Dbank · 31/08/2021 13:10

@ Plumtree391

So what did she say?
tasmaniandevil · 31/08/2021 13:11

Yes Plumtree.

How do you know it was Camilla?
Do you work at the Palace and have inside information?
That's a pretty strong accusation to be throwing around.

smilesy · 31/08/2021 13:16

Like I said, not naming the person has us all guessing and speculating. Impossible to resolve.

PicsInRed · 31/08/2021 13:17

What on earth does that mean ? And why is person in inverted commas ?

Because we haven't been told who it was, although we have a fairly good idea based on who has actually stopped talking to Harry (& Meghan) and that silence began a fair while before the Oprah interview. It's a rift which has grown over many years.

Dbank · 31/08/2021 13:28

So in summary, we don't know what was said or by whom.

We can make our own assumptions and then present them as facts to suit our own agendas.

If someone actually said something racist, M&H should have the conviction to say what was said and by whom.

StuckInATent · 31/08/2021 14:05

@Dbank agree totally.
