Now being reported in the Daily Express that Harry is working on a new tell all documtary about royal life. This is according to his biographer Angela Levin. And even more disclosures about the royal family are forthcoming. Is this going to go on for years. We shall have to wait and sed. I think its very very wrong of him.

I also wondered about the "UK media being delayed" thing, but perhaps Harry and his host wanted his comments to be the main story, rather than what the media would inevitably say about it?

[quote StormzyinaTCup]However a PP said that the whole of Australia and NZ see right through H&M!!!

I was going to post these links last night regarding Australia but the thread moved on so didn’t but it’s come back now - Australians certainly don’t mince their wordsWink

I have no idea if this is a fair reflection of the Australian opinion as a whole but these are a couple of links as to what Sky News Aus are saying (I believe Alan Jones is a bit of a shock jock, a bit like our version of Piers Morgan so probably is a bit marmite!).

Sky News (in Australia at least) is ultra far right, in some respects, more to the right than Fox News. Alan Jones is a climate-denying far right extremist and racist. He is also a misogynist and a true contrarian. He makes Piers Morgan look like a very left wing sweet and compassionate nun. Sky News has a very limited audience, and usually far rightists, racists and royalists.

Sorry, I see I cross posted and the question had already been answered ... I guess it wasn't hard to work out

HagenDaz · 16/05/2021 13:05

Dax and Monica conducted a very good debrief at the end of the podcast. Did you listen to that bit Rousette?

Blossomtoes · 16/05/2021 13:06

@GrimDamnFanjo

The only thing Meghan and Harry have to sell is the Royal family. I feel really sad as the more they divulge the harder it's going to be for a reconciliation.
Not only that but they’re going to run out of material pretty soon. Once they’ve said it all, then what?
StormzyinaTCup · 16/05/2021 13:06

Cokedrinker ah ok, he's more than a bit marmite thenShock

Roussette · 16/05/2021 13:25

HagenDaz

Yes, why?
Did you?

Dax an anti-royal liked him a lot. And quite rightly slagged off our rubbish press and the 'royal experts'.

Do you want to test me or something?! 🤣

@Roussette

Remove his titles and Andrew's then!

That won't happen

I think it is probably a safe bet to think that Andrew will cling on to titles and privilege with all of his strength. If it is proven that he has done what it is claimed he has done then I absolutely think he should be stripped of both titles and privilege. I also agree with whoever said above that there should be an inquiry into how he amassed a fortune while acting as a trade ambassador.

The situation with Harry is rather different. I don't like some of the things he has said or some of the ways in which he has behaved but at this point I don't think he deserves to have his titles taken away.

However, he has repeatedly explained how much he disliked being part of the royal set up, how it made him feel. eg Like being in the Truman show or a zoo. Trapped. If this is how being royal makes him feel I don't understand why he would want to retain much less use the titles.

Roussette · 16/05/2021 13:34

I think Andrew will cling on, yes. And he has a slightly longer respite now, given the trial has been moved from July to end November. And that respite might well last whilst the Queen is around.

I think when Charles takes over there might be a lot of change with Andrew's position.

choli · 16/05/2021 13:36

I live in the US. Nobody I know gives a shit.

I think there is a huge appetite for the inside track on royal life and Harry has barely scratched the surface so far.

I'm not sure that there is any interest in what he has to say on any other subject as he has no other expertise.

I would expect a fuck ton more from H lifting the curtain on the royals. He has wedded himself to a very high spending materialistic and super rich and privileged lifestyle. He is not satisfied with a normal quiet life, he needs A list celebrity status.

I think M&H could very well bring down the monarchy.

choli · 16/05/2021 13:47

Harry had better be careful. It didn't end well when his mother started to exert independence.

DogsSausages · 16/05/2021 13:49

If he is so miserable and dislikes his family that much then give up the title, stop cashing in on the family tie, donate the family inheritance to good causes, sell up and move into a normal house and behave like a normal working couple. The more they moan and bleat the less people care.

Blossomtoes · 16/05/2021 13:57

What “fuck ton” more has he got? We all know about his parents’ marriage, we’re pretty clear about how we view Andrew, other than that what is there? The Queen’s never put a foot wrong, nor have the Princess Royal or the Wessexes (for at least the last decade).

You make it sound as if he knows where a whole battalion of bodies are buried - if he did, he’d have produced that first rather than the tenuous stuff he gave Oprah. He’s already scraping the barrel.

OutwiththeOutCrowd · 16/05/2021 13:59

The only way any of this makes sense to me is if M, H and the Royals are all in cahoots behind the scenes.

The Queen must have twigged some time ago that the easiest way to drum up support for the British monarchy is to get dodgy deserters from within the family to complain about the institution. After all, if there’s complaining to be done about the monarchy, the public know instinctively that it ought to be them doing it.

So that’s M and H’s current job - dissing the firm from afar to get people to feel protective of the Royals who are still in situ.

Meanwhile, Kate has been told to be soigné and anodyne, William has been told to be faux-blokeish and anodyne, Charles have been told to be avuncular and anodyne and Andy has been told to just keep on wearing a face mask - even whilst out driving.

It’s all a cunning plan.

I was just reading an article about P&G being under fire for selling skin whitening creams ( which they still do). It’s got to be a minefield trying to make deals with commercial companies whilst also trying to uphold your ideals.

Binglebong · 16/05/2021 14:05

I'm just surprised anyone considers Harry an expert on mental health when, despite being in contact with MH charities and having had counselling himself, he felt completely unable to find support for his wife.

@smilesy People with Vitiligo, a medical condition, use skin whitening creams. And with other skin conditions. It can even be gotten on a script. It's a valid medicine.

He can Lance the boil........in private.

smilesy · 16/05/2021 14:17

@CokeDrinker yes I appreciate that, but this is under the Olay brand and it promises “to inhibit melanin production in the deepest layer of skin” and “an extraordinary pinkish fairness “. There is an online petition against them for this. I am only reporting something that I have read and pointing out that it is going to be difficult to pair up with any multinational without some whiff of scandal or dubious practice emerging 🤷‍♀️

Puzzledandpissedoff · 16/05/2021 14:17

Maybe that depends what they've got to say. I admit to surprise that they've stuck so far to victimhood and trivia which is provably untrue - given Harry's inside track I'd have thought there was more, but who can say?

For all we know he could be playing both sides for the money or even be worried about what could happen to him if he divulged worse, but I don't think they'll bring down the monarchy, however much that would suit me

They're better at protecting their position than that, and they've had an awful lot of practise

Roussette · 16/05/2021 14:22

'The Queen must have twigged some time ago that the easiest way to drum up support for the British monarchy is to get dodgy deserters from within the family to complain about the institution'

Maybe from royalist yes. But not from those who are on the fence or ambivalent.
I think those people would be thinking... hang on a minute, I know the Monarchy protects the Monarchy at all costs, but have M&H actually got a point? Were the courtiers sniffy about Meghan? Did she get all the support she needed etc etc. Is the PR machine briefing against her/them
And it shines a light on the practices within BP which the RF of course hate.
