Now being reported in the Daily Express that Harry is working on a new tell all documtary about royal life. This is according to his biographer Angela Levin. And even more disclosures about the royal family are forthcoming. Is this going to go on for years. We shall have to wait and sed. I think its very very wrong of him.

"I've got a theory that Harry is deliberately trying to bring down the royal family, not as a spiteful thing, but to "free" his family. I'm sure they've all had conversations about how irritating various aspects of being royal are. Maybe he thinks that he's escaped but they've all got Stockholm syndrome about it & need him to shed light on how awful being royal really is so they can all be liberated."

He can't be that stupid surely?

Anyway-does he care enough to "free" them all?

No if he was trying to destroy because if he can't be a part of it then no one can...

OutwiththeOutCrowd · 17/05/2021 14:02

I remember Harry from a few years ago when he cantered through engagements with a twinkle in his eye and a charming self-depreciating manner. When a nine year old asked if he would ever be king, Harry replied with a smile that people would be pleased to know it wasn't likely. He didn't appear to consider himself to be someone with important opinions to convey or wisdom to disseminate, yet was able to find a niche for himself helping wounded servicemen and women, with a few adventures thrown in that revealed a certain degree of derring-do.

He cuts a more serious figure now and it feels like he has put on an ill-fitting suit that belongs to someone else.

The first amendment thing was not him saying it is bonkers he can't understand it

This is what he actually said:

'I've got so much I want to say about the First Amendment as I sort of understand it,' he said, 'but it is bonkers. I don't want to start going down the First Amendment route because that's a huge subject and one which I don't understand because I've only been here a short time, but you can find a loophole in anything. You can capitalize or exploit what's not said rather than uphold what is said.'

IrmaFayLear · 17/05/2021 14:28

He is so articulate, isn’t he? Confused

catinboots123 · 17/05/2021 14:30

What does he even mean?

Marmaladeagain · 17/05/2021 14:36

rainy - you say: "There's also the fact there's plenty of evidence that these threads are/have been in the past unduly influenced by a minority of extreme obsessives who have been exposed as engaging in sockpuppeting (posting multiple times in the same thread under various different usernames to create the impression Meghan is more widely hated than she is - MNHQ have confirmed this) and creating new accounts after being banned. For example the infamous poster who brags about having created 30 different email accounts so they can keep registering new accounts so they can keep posting Meghan hate no matter how many times MNHQ bans them. It's also fairly obvious from the regularity with which new names pop up and vanish, that posters who dislike Meghan are frequently name-changing and this also gives the impression more people dislike her."

If the above is correct and someone is so obsessive as to go to trouble of creating multiple accounts etc and sock puppet or something - that would represent one person or maybe a few. But it is offensive on threads where people are posting in good faith to continually have that they may be "fake" accounts because they disagree with you. There is no evidence on these threads and if you have then report, but there are no sock puppets on this thread.

However, much more pertinently - you said last week that you have evidence of people posing as different races with same remarks to judge who is "guilty" of responding, in your opinion, in a different way depending on a person's race. That's quite obsessive in itself to be involved or sharing details of behaviour like that. I find it strange. Do MN know that you have this information regarding fake accounts - if so, isn't that sock puppeting in itself?

It might be better to engage with the people on threads rather than continually recalling a time when some posters did those things. We are not those and if you think we are then take it up with MN.

TruelyWonder · 17/05/2021 14:38

I think he actually was slagging it off for having some in his eyes badly written bits

Hence why people are a tiny bit pissed off with him

I mean he could be perfectly right. I don't know the amendment really. However God he needs to just stop talking quite so much. It is like here is the hole let's see if I can dig it a bit deeper.

OutwiththeOutCrowd · 17/05/2021 14:43

Is Harry implying that press freedom has to be in balance with an individual's right to privacy? Perhaps he feels the first amendment ought to reflect this necessity explicitly?

TruelyWonder · 17/05/2021 14:43

They replaced their move to have there own in house media people is a disaster isn't it. Not one person now that can suggest they might want to be careful what they appear on or who they are seen supporting. Let alone warn them about what they are saying. Totally disaster.

Marmaladeagain · 17/05/2021 14:45

rainy - no what I said was telling me what is offensive in US language is not a racial slur on a UK website. Simple.

Do you police all websites around the world for use of language that is deemed offensive in US? Must be tiring work. This is a UK website and yes it is policing language in the same way.

I think that is kind of his view yesConfused

He was so very protected before wasn't he. Not a clue how the real world works etc. I would love to know how many stories the place has been to court to silence over the years. We know there are at least three Meghan ones the palace got court orders to silence.

TruelyWonder · 17/05/2021 15:01

Oh and there is more to come. Heaven help us all

The Apple TV show 'The Me You Can't See' is being broadcast on Friday, was produced by the Duke and the chat show queen and features tearful interviews with Lady Gaga, Glenn Close and Ms Winfrey herself.

A clip of Harry as a child at Diana funeral and hints of him spilling more royal secrets are in the 3 minute trailer for it too

🤯🤦‍♀️

Lockupyourbiscuits · 17/05/2021 15:03

I wonder what Harry really regards as a happy life - does he really want a global platform

If you put yourself out there and share yourself so much you really are in the Trueman Show

If he really thought about his dream life for him and his family is this what he would chose ?

Maybe it is seems like hell to me

Blossomtoes · 17/05/2021 15:17

Just add the head of state duties to those of the Prime Minister

No. Just no. We need the prime minister to run the country, one job’s enough for anyone. All that suggestion does is show a complete lack of understanding of how our country works.

Marmalade I really wouldn't bother.

Rainy makes similar posts on virtually every H&M thread.

They use the fact that there was one poster who was a prolific sock puppet to lend credence to utterly spurious claims that this site is a hot bed of right wing racism - and thus by implication anyone not wholly supportive of H&M is motivated by such agendas.

There's absolutely no way anyone can claim to know the political bias of the millions of people posting here and MNHQ quite rightly take a very strong position on posts/users that use racist language or in any way support racist ideology and I like many others are not shy about reporting such users when we encounter them.

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 17/05/2021 15:32

I don’t have a lot of time for the antics of H&M but I’m guessing even she must be looking at him and thinking ‘it wasn’t supposed to be like this...

Rupertbeartrousers · 17/05/2021 15:47

I’m actually so disappointed with all of it.

I was so pleased that he met and married Meghan and had Archie, the SA tour had so much potential, seeing him retrace his mother’s steps in Angola and his work with Sentembale hinted at a passion for a more Africa centred activism.

I don’t blame them for wanting out of the pressure, invasion and trolling/racism of the British press. I envisaged a modest living, probably in a grand-designs style eco house, him becoming active and influential like Greta or David Attenborough, Meghan maybe being more health and wellness focussed. I think if they’d embarked on this first, worked hard and didn’t take the mickey, I think a lot of companies would have sponsored their security/travel and they could have made a good and credible reputation for themselves. Instead they’ve chased the money/luxe lifestyle first and are now in the pockets of companies that want to exploit his family and wokewash their pharmaceutical products.

I know the pandemic hasn’t helped them get out there doing stuff, but it all seems very self-serving. Lots of moaning from their mansion. I think he needs a decent sabbatical back at the frontline and away from the cameras, whether that’s in a military rehab centre or an African orphanage. And to only talk about his family to his family, and be kinder to his Gran.

CallmeHendricks · 17/05/2021 15:52

@Rupertbeartrousers, good post. I agree.

Cinclus · 17/05/2021 15:53

I’m guessing even she must be looking at him and thinking ‘it wasn’t supposed to be like this...

I was thinking this, wondering if Meghan will one day see him as a bit of a liability.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 17/05/2021 16:12

If he wants to contribute to the social, political and economic life of a country, he needs a crash course in these subjects

He also needs to be accountable for his own comments if he wishes to engage in politics/constitutional matters, and I'm not sure that would be very welcome to someone from his background

Can I also suggest - gently of course - that no-one has to engage with the couple of posters who scattergun random accusations of racism over every thread? It rarely leads to anything productive since rational debate isn't welcome, so personally I find it better left

Blossomtoes · 17/05/2021 16:14

Absolutely spot on. There are some user names whose posts I don’t even read.

But then what was it supposed to be like?

All of the perks but doing what they chose to do?

How could anyone ever think that that would fly?

Gladimnotcampinginthisweather · 17/05/2021 16:18

They certainly aren't the people we thought they were.

sunnyblackwidow · 17/05/2021 16:49

He's just so simple...it's so embarrassing watching him trying to have intelligent conversations. I just cringe for him and wish he'd just shut up.

And yes....the poster who said he should only talk about his family to his family! This is spot on and says it all in a nutshell really.
